Queue whole albums. Plays tracks in alphabetical order, not track number order

Recommended Posts

Hi

i've been having some problems with the queue option on Poweramp recently. Earlier when i pressed queue on a whole album, it played an album correctly, starting with track 1, track 2 etc...

Now when i press queue on a album it plays the whole album, but in alphabetical order, starting with the track which begins with a special symbol, then A, then B and so on.

Does anybody know of an option to fix this? or this simply a bug?

It used to work the way i want so it's really frustrating that it doesn't work the way i want it to now.

When you select an Album Title to be added to the Queue (or a Playlist) the included tracks will be added in whatever order you have previously specified in the album's List Options sort order. So if you have album songs sorted By Title, that's how they will be added to the queue.

You need to go into the album songs list, tap the three-dots menu icon, select List Options and choose "By Track #" as the sort order. Then in future any albums will be displayed, played, and added to lists, using Track order.

Hi again

No it still does not work. Because if i go into an album and play it. The album is sorted according to track #. The List options is also set to Track #, and it plays in track number.

But when i set an entire album to queue it goes back to alphabetical

Not sure why it's not working for you, but whichever way I view an album - via Artists, Albums, Album Artists, etc - and as long as I have the song level List Options set to sort by Track #, then that's how any songs are added to the Queue when I long-press on the Album Title and tap the ">>> Queue" icon.

For example:

Great album Andre!😋

I can verify the same results that Andre has posted. I have my albums sorted by traxk#, and when adding whole albums to the queue they are in order.

Great album Andre!

Almost all of their work is good, one of my favourite bands (they come from my home town). But I actually chose Time because track #1 is called Prologue, so it's easy to see visually that it's in the right track order.

I'm having the same problem, and I've changed all the settings I could think of, and even completely wiped the app and started over, only for the issue to persist. The issue only affects me if I add to the queue from search. If I add from the albums or artists pages of the library, they add in order, but any album added to the queue from the search screen goes into the queue in alphabetical order.

Edit- I'm on the latest beta version of the app, on an LG G7 running stock Android.

Adding from Search is different, that adds anything to the queue in title order.

However if you first tap on the Album title in the search list you will see all of the songs displayed in your chosen Album sorting order. Long-press and select them all (just tap the 'All' button) then use the ">>> Queue" button to add them to the queue in the displayed order.
