Grumble69
I've googled this, but not seeing anyone with my problem. I'm using Poweramp v3 on my phone (Samsung S8). The filenames for my songs look like this: 3AM - Matchbox 20.mp3 (i.e. song with a dash followed by the band) The issue that I'm having is that if the song begins with a number, then the number is not displayed. In this example, it would just show: AM - Matchbox 20. Now if the file has a number elsewhere, it displays just fine. Any idea on the issue? I've used other music players and haven't had this happen, so I don't think it's an issue with the file itself. andrewilley
This is because in filename mode, PA treats a number at the start of the filename as a track number prefix (e.g. "01 - Song Title - Artist.mp3", "02 - Next Title - Artist.mp3", etc). So it assumes that initial numbers are not part of the actual title, but as prefixed track numbers. This only occurs when you display purely filenames though, if you display the track title from the embedded tag then initial digits are shown normally.
