Hi-Res output stopped working on Android Pie?

Poweramp suddenly stopped outputting hi res audio on my Xiaomi Mi 8 (Snapdragon 845)?

I recently updated to android Pie on my Mi 8, and im suspecting thats what affected it.

What can i do to fix it?

No matter what i set the sample rate to in the settings, it still stays at 16bit 48khz.

Im running the latest Beta version of Poweramp. And my phone is on MIUI 10.1.2 (Android 9.0 Pie)

Any ideas?
