I'm now realizing that this started after the recent upgrades and I applied a different visualization. Maybe I'll try a different visualization. Tough to make a report on this since there's no crash in the UI.  But the app does exit silently for me

I do not use visualization at all

Poweramp 814 played 16 hours straight on many devices, including Xiaomis.

Does it stops for you when it's on background/screen is off? If so, please enable (in device settings) Installed Apps / Poweramp / Battery saver / No restrictions option.

Poweramp 814 can also stop after bad/missing track - this scenario was improved in next 815 build - PM me if you want to try it earlier.

And what about the silence after switching to the next track?

Im having this issue as well since this V3 update.

Ive enabled Wakelock/keep service, removed pause on headset disconnect, turned off crossfade, Turned off visualization, Battery saver is turned off completely. tried to follow every bit of advice here and in other posts, but nothing is working. Some times it will last as long as 4 songs before it stops, sometimes it lasts 4 albums. But eventually it will stop playing for no real reason. Its doing my head in.

Android 5.1.1
Agora 4g Pro

Hello,

I actually have the v3 version on my Xperia X and every time that I play music via Bluetooth speaker, It stops when I play 2 to 3 songs.  I think it pauses in the middle of the song or the music player stops the music.  I am using an Oontz speaker and notice that this is happening.  Is there a fix to this?

I've sent a build (see PM) for you (who posted in this topic) which detects killing by battery optimizer and also improves jumping over unplayable/missing files (these will stop playback in build-814) + few device variants quirks.

Generally, for 814 audio may stop:

  1. (90% of cases) when killed by (e.g. Xiaomi, Sonys, etc.) battery optimizer (Unlocker is killed too with whole Poweramp and should be set to No restrictions too (wording is different across MIUI variants) in Installed Apps). Happens when screen is off or PA is on background. When you start Poweramp again, it sits on start of the track in paused state.
Build 815 tries to detect that and show appropriate message.
  2. when there is non-playable track. Poweramp skips that and stays paused. Happens even when Poweramp is on foreground. Poweramp stays paused on first seconds on the track past bad one. If you press << you may notice unplayable track which is skipped.
Build 815 now tries to keep playing after skipping bad files.
  3. when device force-shutdowns all audio. Happens for Xiaomis (or other devices sharing 6xx Qualcomm code) even for stock player, on some notifications/or parallel audio playback. Usually affects Hi-Res output + DVC or non-hi-res output + Custom volume levels. When you open Poweramp it sort of plays, but no audio can be heard.
Build 815 has new option Audio / Advanced Tweaks / Force Audio On Audio Focus Change. This will work only if No Duck is applied for audio output.

I have all battery optimisation off.
Even when i hit back and play it plays the song. So its not a non playable track, especially when i havent added anything new to play since the V3 Update.
No idea what i can do for the third thing.

Lets hope when i get a new phone next week i wont be still having these issues.
