thanks.   I wonder why i can't access it then?  Surely i wasn't banned for asking for help and reporting problems.   I can't find a way to contact anyone on the website.   Just tried it with Edge and same thing.   This is on the computer with win10 btw.

an update on musicbee forum, I could get in via my phone which would be on a different IP address and discovered  my username doesn't exist and all my posts were gone.   So I registered with a same username but different number.   After looking around for a few minutes all a sudden i was banned again.   Are they picky about who's in their forums?  The worst thing i said was that musicbee is 5 times better then itunes but 5 times buggier.   I am having problems with it failing on copying to my phone and then it ruined my 128gb card on my phone and i don't have the money to get another one so i don't have music or anything on my phone now.   I'm so mad.   And now i can't get help with it.   I have never been banned from forums in my life until i was all a sudden deleted from Playerpro and the mod wouldnt' reply to my emails about my username not working and my posts being gone.   Now this.   I thought an all out ban is after having really bad behavior and cussing and blowing through several warnings?  Please forgive me to be off topic but i have nowhere else to turn.

Sorry I can't help more, I just tested the forum to see if it was working, I'm not a member and don't use musicbee. PA has been the one and only player I've used from the beginning.

oh ok.  I know some people on here use Musicbee on the computer instead of itunes.   I thought maybe you was on their forums.  Do you use a music player on your computer?  I manage my music on the computer and sync to the phone and mostly use Poweramp on the phone.   I hate streaming music because i want to listen to what I want too and when i want too.   lol.

I hate streaming too especially when it actually costs more for data, and monthly charge for the service in the long run. If you already got music then I see no point of streaming. Just because someone thinks if you pay for a service music is free, you are wrong, because it is drm and once you cancel service, there goes all that music you thought you could keep. So streaming to me sucks. I rather pay to own.

I am one that uses musicbee, and I have tried i-tunes and no I do not like i-tunes at all. Musicbee is awesome for syncing phones and doing all kinds of things and also free software. Almost going on 20,000 songs in collection.

I would email and ask what's going on (I assume there is no phone contact point, I don't use them?)

I'm going to move this discussion to a separate thread in the Chatter forum though, it's not really build 811 related.

I just transfer straight to my SD card using es file manager, and just use groove on pc.

I would email them but there's no email address.   And thanks for making a seperate thread.   I hate to bother the other thread with this issue.   I wasn't sure if i posted a seperate thread in the first place people would take notice.   I posted a tweet on twitter after not logging into twitter for many years.   Not sure if they got the tweet and I doubt they would respond.   I don't see the tweet on the musicbee twitter just on mine.   I'm thinking the mod is the owner so if he don't like me for some reason then he won't respond anyways.   After all I wasn't even contacted with a warning, explanation, or anything.

If you do that how do you transfer the playlists?  I never drag and drop directly because then i wouldn't be able to use the playlists from the computer and making them on the phone is too tedious.

If you create relative (rather than absolute path) playlists then they will work on any device as long as the folders structure within your device's particular music location remains the same. The Windows/Linux "\" vs "/" delimiters does not matter, both will work. Then you can drag and drop with ease.

all these years i never could figure it out.   I tried awhile back and couldn't get it to work.  How do you do it?  I once tried to export a playlist with itunes to a folder but it didn't do the playlist and all the songs.

Relative paths depend on the location of the Playlist file itself (i.e. where you save the actual .M3U file) and any contents must show the paths relative from that point. You can traverse up and down the tree using the normal directory handling characters.

For example, I have all the Harry Potter movie soundtracks in their own folders within one overall "Harry Potter" music folder within my "Movies" folder, with full path examples on the SD Card as follows:

/music/Movies/Harry Potter/HP1 - The Philosopher's Stone/songfiles.mp3
/music/Movies/Harry Potter/HP2 - The Chamber of Secrets/songfiles.mp3
/music/Movies/Harry Potter/HP3 - The Prisoner of Azkaban/songfiles.mp3
/music/Movies/Harry Potter/HP4 - The Goblet of Fire/songfiles.mp3
/music/Movies/Harry Potter/HP5 - The Order of the Phoenix/songfiles.mp3
/music/Movies/Harry Potter/HP6 - The Half-Blood Prince/songfiles.mp3
/music/Movies/Harry Potter/HP7 - The Deathly Hallows Part 1/songfiles.mp3
/music/Movies/Harry Potter/HP8 - The Deathly Hallows Part 2/songfiles.mp3

On my PC, the same folder names are on my music hard drive, in   M:/Movies & TV/Harry Potter/

Inside the /music/Movies/Harry Potter/ level I have saved a Harry Potter Shortlist.m3u playlist file which just includes some favourite tracks rather than 10+ hours of music, which are in the following format:

HP1 - The Philosopher's Stone/01 - Prologue.mp3
HP1 - The Philosopher's Stone/99 - End Credits.mp3
HP2 - The Chamber of Secrets/01 - Prologue - Book II and the Escape from The Dursley's.mp3
HP2 - The Chamber of Secrets/99 - End Credits.mp3
HP3 - The Prisoner of Azkaban/01 - Lumos! (Hedwig's Theme).mp3
HP3 - The Prisoner of Azkaban/99 - End Credits.mp3
HP4 - The Goblet of Fire/01 - The Story Continues.mp3
HP4 - The Goblet of Fire/99 - End Credits.mp3
HP5 - The Order of the Phoenix/01 - Fireworks.mp3
HP5 - The Order of the Phoenix/99 - End Credits.mp3

All you need to do is ensure that the paths quoted within the playlist file work from whatever location you intend to store it in, and they will then work on any device that has the same folder structure.

One useful path option is to use the two dots ( ../ ) prefix to mean "up one folder", so for example if I also had a more general folder called /music/Playlists/ then I should be able to refer to my Harry Potter files relatively from a playlist.m3u file saved there using this format:

../Movies/Harry Potter/HP1 - The Philosopher's Stone/01 - Prologue.mp3
../Movies/Harry Potter/HP1 - The Philosopher's Stone/99 - End Credits.mp3
../Movies/Harry Potter/HP2 - The Chamber of Secrets/01 - Prologue - Book II and the Escape from The Dursley's.mp3
../Movies/Harry Potter/HP2 - The Chamber of Secrets/99 - End Credits.mp3

It all sounds complicated, but it's pretty simple once you get the principle of the paths being based from the current location rather than quoted with the full absolute path.

What do you do about updating your playlists with syncing them if you just copy straight across?  One reason why i like iSyncr or Musicbee is it only syncs what changes and deletes what needs to be.   If you do it manually you would loose track of what songs need deleted to save space if the songs get deleted from the playlists.   or if the songs need updated on the phone after editing tags or artwork.

I have 320 g on my phone, and don't really need to delete songs to save space,I actually have different Playlist on my phone to what's on my pc, I usually put artwork and tags with mp3tag on my computer than just drag albums or songs to SD card.
