MangoHarryCo
Quote Translate Revert translation? andrewilley
You can use the ReplayGain feature to do this, as long as your MP3 files are correctly tagged with the information needed. Quote Translate Revert translation? andrewilley
There is quite a bit of info on ReplayGain on the net, for example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReplayGain . Basically, when the song file is first encoded (or as an after task using something like foobar2000) the track is scanned to find its maximum peak level, and a tag inserted to tell players how loud that track gets at its loudest point. Then the player can adjust its playback gain for each track separately (or jointly for a whole album) so the maximum levels match each other. It does not adjust volume 'on the fly' during playback though (aka "Normalisation") and each track will play at a set gain value throughout, with the quietest bits staying quiet while the loudest bits are set to an equal level for all tracks. andrewilley
FLAC files can contain Replay Gain information, just like any other other audio formats. Foobar2000 is a good program to use to add the data if your files don't contain it already. Andre Quote Translate Revert translation? Possibly, but you'd have to upload all your music files to the website and then re-download the modified results. Why not just do it quickly and easily on your own hardware, where the files already exist? Andre Quote Translate Revert translation? andrewilley
If you have a computer, install foobar2000, put your SD Card into the computer and drag your whole music folder onto foobar. Then using the right-click menu apply ReplayGain (scan as Albums by tags) and sit back and let it do it - might take a while with a lot of FLACs. When done, click Update File Tags to write the numbers back into the files. Then back in Poweramp again, turn on ReplyGain in the Settings > Audio menu. Andre Quote Translate Revert translation?
