No fast forward/rewind buttons any more - latest version is terrible!!

I LOVED and NEEDED the FF/RW buttons - why did you get rid of them in the latest update? What's the thought behind this, if any devs could chime in. They were still in the alpha before it got updated. I paid for Poweramp once I realized I could use it to listen to podcasts I have downloaded at 1.5-2x speed with the alpha and I had the ability to hold down the buttons to fast forward or rewind through commercials and stuff and now they are completely gone and I have to drag the progress bar and it's highly inaccurate with 1-4 hour long mp3s.

Honestly I am -hating- most of the features of the latest version. The alpha was near perfect. Every task now takes more taps, the UI is more crowded, the app has been sending crash reports now for days. I want my money back and might as well use VLC if this is the customer experience I paid for.

Anyways, I just made an account to share my experience and honestly, hopefully I find solutions. Sorry if it sounded rant-y but I am very disappointed, I've never seen such radical changes in an app like this that was near perfect prior to the update. It seems as if custom skins are the answer - but why is that acceptable?

Any advice is appreciated, and very curious to hear your thoughts about my experience. Is this super abnormal, am I out of my mind and does everyone actually love this update? Again I was using the alpha before this so context is key I suppose.

Settings > Look and Feel > Skin > activate the 'Pro Buttons' option for your chosen skin.

You can also opt to use the more traditional 'full-length' seekbar if you prefer it the old way. Personally I have mixed feelings on that one: I love being able to easily adjust a few seconds or minutes either way via the new seekbar, but I also like being able to see exactly where in a track I am, and move large distances.

@Orolicious As Andre said, you need to enable those "pro buttons".

don't understand people making long rant posts when all they had to do first was look and learn to use the app before posting,sorry for the rant but max has put so much work into PA the greatest android music app,and there are known bugs but it is not terrible as you call it.

Also please remember that this is still a BETA TEST product, no one is being forced to use it. User comments and bug reports are being taken into account as the app moves towards its official v3 release.
