Ajimp
Power amp includes every media files including videos as well as small length audios in a selected folder. It is really disappointing to hear short audios, ringtones, call or video files in between music. I already commented about this in play store . But not yet solved. There should be an option to exclude specified files types from scanning. Because if I selected the download folder to scan, it include every media files in that folder like mp4 movies, ringtones and other short length files which is not a music. There should be an option to select/exclude some file format and to exclude files which is shorter or longer than a specified time. For this reason I uninstalled power amp. andrewilley
You can exclude short files with Settings > Folders and Library > Ignore Short Tracks (set a limiter value between 2 and 30 seconds). Otherwise, if you have got mixed-up content inside a folder that you have asked Poweramp to scan, you need to either use sub-folders to organise the content (and disable the unwanted subfolders) or move the files that you do want to more sensible locations. Pointing PA to scan folders that may contain random content (such as a raw Downloads folder) is not a good idea. Andre

So for that reason you uninstalled Poweramp, can you please tell me which player your using? Does it have that feature you mentioned? I am little bit of curious Btw I have 2 music folders & Poweramp only scan them.
Ajimp
Musicolet. Only 2.5 MB. Totally free. In that I can even set the time for shorter files. In Poweramp. It's preset up to a max of 30 sec. And it will not add non music files to library also.
