Poweramp and Huawei Mate Pro 10

I have serious problems using Poweramp on Huawei Mate Pro 10. It stops playing about 10 minutes after mobile screen off. And it start playing after pressing power button until screen off again.

All possible tweaks like wakelock, keep service etc. already tested without any success. Also Android power management settings change from automatic to manual for this app doesn't change anything.

Any advice?

It does sound like you've dealt with all the obvious possible issues, but it must be something in your device that is closing PA down when it enters a deep sleep state. As you've already set the power management option though, I can't see what else can be done. Have you asked in a Huawei forum?

I have the exact same problem, but on a Huawei P10 plus.

I've also tried everything including finding the new look battery optimisation under Apps>special access>ignore battery optimisation to no avail.

Something, since the update to Android 8.0, has caused Poweramp to not be able to stay awake.

Finally I solved the problem by purchasing Jetaudio plus which doesn't experience these problems at all! In other words Jetaudio manages something that Poweramp doesn't.

I've no idea what?

I'm posting just to let other Huawei users with Android Oreo know that the Poweramp problem seems unfixable.

Joined the forum to advise USB Audio Player Pro also had this problem but the dev, Davy, found Huawei make an additional check for background processing. UAPP now works properly. Maybe PA dev can look for the same thing?

Thanks for the reports, few questions:

- is this Poweramp v2? Have you tried any v3 build?
- does this reproduce on wired headset, speaker, or BT, or everything?

Unfortunately, v2 updates are not planned, all the development progress is in v3 builds.

"any v3 build"? Last time I checked, u've only released one v3 build which is the incomplete v3 preview build 790.

That would be apart from builds 700-709 released over the past two years I assume? 709 works very nicely for daily use for example. See https://forum.powerampapp.com/files/category/2-alpha-test-builds-of-poweramp-v3/

So I tested recent 709 build (default settings) on Huaweis: P20, P9 lite, 8 Pro, Mate 10 - they played non stop without any issues for 2+ hours on wired headsets. Though, I didn't change any Poweamp or phone settings - there are quite advanced Power/Battery settings in Huaweis.

Con la configuración en gestor de sistema + batería + inicio de aplicaciones (sin cerrar en segundo plano) o la gestión de forma automática no debería cerrarse, yo en ALP-L09 8.0.0.136(C432) y compilación 709 y 790 de Poweramp en ese aspecto trabajan bien.
