Let's be honest here, upsampling a 44.1/48kHz track all the way to 192kHz doesn't improve the actual sound quality. Just unnecessary resampling, and in some cases, it decreases the quality (except for some very good resamplers, such as SoX). But still resources are spent on unnecessary resampling. But the reason we set Poweramp output sampling rate to higher than 48kHz so that Hi-res tracks with greater sample rate doesn't get downsampled to 48kHz. So it would be nice if there was an option to keep the same output sample rate frequency as the source file. And for files with sample rate less than 48kHz (i.e. 44.kHz CD quality files), it can upsample to 48kHz as Android's default sample rate is 48kHz. For example, there is a file with 96kHz sample rate, I am asking Poweramp to output it at 96kHz. And for a file with 44.1kHz it would resample to 48kHz as Android likes it that way. I mean minimum frequency could be 48kHz. Obviously I am asking to implement this for Hi-res output and AAudio output (if possible).

Buying a new phone soon, i know that different phones have different capabilities especially when it comes to audio. One of my biggest concerns is if the new phone has the same or better capabilities as my current one. I want to be able to see the audio outputs (Settings > Audio > Advanced Tweaks > Audio Outputs detection log) that the phone is capable of, but i dont know how to check it other than to install Poweramp on the phone before purchase... I would be grateful for any advice you guys are willing to offer.

Dear Poweramp, one of the best improvments that I've seen you implement is the fact that certain EQ presets can be applied to specific devices, which is pretty handy for people who play music via Poweramp through more than 1 source (bluetooth speaker, wired earphones, car audio system etc.). One thing that's missing though is to implement an action for activating MusicFX with specific bluetooth devices. I'm using James DSP manager for my galaxy buds to use a parametic eq, which is activated via the MusicFX button in Poweramp, but I don't need MusicFX for my car audio system or my bluetooth speakers. So I'd like to ask you to implement an extra step to make MusicFX applicable to certain devices, that would make Poweramp to the most versatile music player for Android

Hello, i recently downloaded and bought the application. Coming from other audio players, i was wondering if you could please add the following features: - DSD - bit perfect output - 2 Passes (as in VLC) - 32 bits support for Hi-Res audio - pitch control - current playlist, playback stop and A-B repetition (as in jetAudio) - playlist import - lyrics editing and writing. Sincerely yours

I know there are other people posting about this issue but whenever I choose the sample rate to be anything above 192kHz it drastically lowers the volume. This never happened to me before I received the pie update. Is this an issue with my phone or does Poweramp need to come out with an update to fix this issue? So I'm not messing around with all my settings you know lol. Figured I'd ask everybody else. Thanks in advance
