  1. Poweramp build number: v3-build-874-arm64-play Device: Pixel 3a Android version: 10 No custom ROM I cannot get album gain to be applied when playing an Opus file. Only the track gain is applied, no matter what I select in the audio settings screen. Here is the output of opusinfo aka.opus: New logical stream (#1, serial: ea3c018d): type opus Encoded with Lavf58.45.100 User comments section follows... ALBUM=SAWAYAMA ALBUM ARTIST=Rina Sawayama ALBUMARTIST=Rina Sawayama ARTIST=Rina Sawayama DISCC=1 DISCNUMBER=1
  2. Hi, I've submitted the bug via Google Forms. When checking the Info/Tags of an Ogg Opus file during its playback, the track gain is shown at a constant +5 dB regardless of the file. Is this a display bug? Does Poweramp use the Replaygain tag or the Opus gain tag, or prioritises one of them over the other (but of course using the respective reference level)? V3 build 823, Oreo 8.0.0, Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL
  3. Hello, I recently upgraded to v3 and I am really happy with it. After configuring the interface to my liking, I consider it a big improvement over the already awesome v2. I do have a problem with .opus files, though. After copying some tracks to my smartphone (Moto G4 Plus w/ Android 7), these tracks get listed in my library. However, when trying to play them, Poweramp says it cannot play the file. At some point though, these tracks could suddenly be played. I do not know, what changed. To investigate I copied other .opus tracks to my device and same thing: They get listed in the lib
  4. Poweramp doesn't play opus files. It doesn't play opus codec in ogg container also. I am using Android 7.1. Opus files play natively and in other music players but not in Poweramp
  5. I recently upgraded to Poweramp(PA) v3 Alpha because v2 was not compatible with the new Marshmallow(MM) permission system. I needed to click on a music file and have MM open PA as the default player. PA v3 was the answer, except with Opus files. When I click on an Opus file MM gives me nothing but a SOL message. I choose Opus because I've heard it's one of the best, if not thee best lossy format out there. Can PA be programmed with further MM compatibility to resolve this? Thanks
  6. Poweramp needs OPUS support as soon as possible! As described in RFC: 6716 OPUS audio compression just became an INTERNET STANDARD os Poweramp desperately needs OPUS codec support to stay RELEVANT . . . Please add OPUS support as soon as possible. Other than this, Poweramp is a great app! PS. MXplayer, VLC and other players offer OPUS support on android already.
  7. I think PA require these features added immediately: 1) Automatic Gain Control (AGC) option, so we may have sort of same volume level across tracks that have varying sound level, especially in a playlist. 2) Support for OPUS audio format, a very hot request (it seems to be turned into a threat) on the PA forum. Thanks, and I hope some positive response from developers.
  8. Lollipop natively supports opus but Poweramp will not read them at all AFAIK, opus are in an ogg container with .opus extension. I cut my library size down by 30-40% by switching from AAC to opus but I'm having to use Rocketplayer atm
  9. It's not really a "feature request" but rather a request to add OPUS, which is an Internet standard per RFC 6716 to the list of supported audio codecs. In a few years OPUS will replace all other lossy codecs (VORBIS, AAC etc) due to its efficiency and open source licensing scheme. Please update Poweramp as soon as possible.
