  1. I listen to rap music and most of my music is in the form of mixtapes. Many of which have a DJ and quite a few have multiple DJs. As there isn't a "Disc Jockey" tag, I add them to the Composer tag. I'd appreciate being able use symbols (semicolons [ ; ], etc.) to separate multiple entries within the Composer tag, the same as can be done with the "Genre" tag. Thank you.
  2. I lost my downloaded album art and edited info/tag of files every time I reinstall Poweramp. Please add an option to embed the edited info/tag and downloaded album art to the music file itself.
  3. Samsung Galaxy S8+ / v3-build-863-arm64-play / Android 9 After queue update, if the option "Start playing queue" is "after current category", the metadata below album art always shows "queue" even if queue list is empty. And also even if "Advance Category" is on, it still only shows "queue" (queue list is empty as same). Hope they get fixed at an early date.
  4. For the last 2 months I've been on a music binge. I've noticed upon adding new soungs to my music folder, Poweramp now wont read the metadata of newly added FLAC and Vorbis files. They will show up in the Unknown folder. Flacs will overnight show up properly, yet the ogg files stay unknown, usually a few songs will properly be read and the album will be perpetually incomplete. Nothing has changed on my end. Many albums bought and downloaded through bamdcamp and CDs ripped. Tagged through foobar2000. I've attemped retagging and converting to check that the tagging was done prope
  5. I just would like to share my happiness and confirm that, after a long wait, my Sony Ericsson MW-600 now displays song track info (title only) with the latest release of Poweramp using it with Smasung Galaxy S III. Is there a possible to implement ifo customisation, such as Artist and Track, if desired? Thank you very much and well done! PD: I had lost all hopes...
  6. I submitted a bug report for this but maybe another user can help: I'm unable to see track info while playing over bluetooth in my car (WRX, no Android auto.) Currently running Android 10 stock firmware on the OnePlus 6 with V3 build 853. Other players work fine and I didn't have a problem with build 826 on Android 9. But 826 doesn't install properly on Android 10 and no later builds send track info over BT. Let know if I can provide more info. I've also tried different AVRCP versions in Dev options (1.3 - 1.6) with no luck. Edit: fixed by enabling Settings > Misc > Now Pla
  7. Hi there! It would be nice if we could select multiple files in the library and edit their metadata in a single operation. Thanks! PS. Awesome product btw :)
  8. Build is rc-build-799-play although this issue has existed in v3 since I upgraded. I have just not posted about it before. Phone is a Nokia 7 Plus running Android 8.1 The issue is that not all of the tracks tags appear to be read by the application. Please see images in linked folder. But all of the tags are present and correct and can be read by other music players. <removed>
  9. Hey guys! I recently got a new phone (Samsung Galaxy S8), and metadata like artist name, album name, song title, etc no longer displays on my car (2012 Mazda 3)'s heads-up display. It has worked perfectly fine before this on my last phone (LG G4). Music plays just fine, it's just that the metadata doesn't display. I realize this is most likely an issue with the phone itself using a different version of bluetooth compared to my last phone, but since you guys are the gurus when it comes to troubleshooting this kind of stuff... is there any chance you can look into it, and see
  10. Hi. My phone is a Lenovo Moto G 4º generation, I'm running stock Android 6.0.1 and I'm using build 588 of Poweramp. I'm having some issues while playing music through my Pioneer DEH-4600BT and the problem is that, after 15 minutes or so of playback, there's always a small pause. This pause usually lasts for about a half to almost a second and doesn't happen when using non-Bluetooth headphones. Music is stored on the real (external) SD card. These are the settings I tried changing and did nothing to solve or mitigate the issue: Short Audio Focus Change BT Direct Volume Con
  11. Sometimes one has to reinstall a ROM, or purchase a new phone. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way of exporting anything other than settings and equaliser presets. Would it be possible to have a feature that exports the ratings for audio files? And possibly other meta-data too. Thanks, Juan
  12. I'm a power user and I've been looking for a full-featured app to play MP3s on Android (on Windows and Linux I use fooba2000). One key feature I care about is support for ID3v2 tags. Looking through the forum, it appears Poweramp does support them, but there's nothing about ID3 or ID3v2 tags or any kind of metadata support on the website, not even on the Features page, and noting on Google Play either. Please add details about ID3v2 support to Google Play and the Features page (and maybe even to Key Features), not just for SEO, but for people like me who seek this feature specifically whi
  13. I. The Essentials Poweramp version and build number: 2.0.10-build-588-play (Full Version) Your device model: Samsung S7 Edge (SM-G935P) Your Android version: 6.0.1 Your Custom ROM name/version (if you're on custom ROM): N/A Tried catlog, but it cannot read any logs other than its own as it cannot become root, so this is all I have. II. The problem The BT in my car does not seem to be receiving metadata. Samsung's Music Player sends this info across fine, but Poweramp is, to me, far superior in terms of UI and sound (Samsung's EQ, for example, is subtractive,
  14. I recently upgraded to an S7 and put all my music on my new phone (old was an S5.) I used Poweramp premium on both phones and I listen to my music primarily in my car via bluetooth. When I had my S5, the tag info would pop up on my 2014 Civic's display. With my S7, it shows no info. When I play songs in google play the tags show up but not when using Poweramp. Does anyone know how to fix this issues? Thanks
  15. Hi there, I've recently downloaded the alpha and I've been enjoying it a lot. There is an issue with Samsung devices which not only affects the alpha but pretty much every music player I've tried. I understand that this is not a Poweramp issue but I'm hoping there may be a workaround that can be included in the release. Just to clarify, I'm not an Android developer but I do have a moderate amount of technical knowledge such as flashing custom ROMs etc. I believe the issue is that Samsung has badly implemented AVRCP backward compatibility. I have an older Kenwood head unit (
  16. I noticed that in the library menu, there was no option to sort songs by their year. Since the 'year' tag is defined for most MP3s, it would be a useful sorting option. Due to the lack of options in the meta display menu, I figured that the song's year, genre or track number tags could be offered as some of the options to display. For those of us who keep this option enabled, they would definitely add a small touch to the player UI. I've made some examples (using another skin): Year: Genre: Track:
  17. I have metadata missing from some tracks and some tracks are missing from playlists. The data is correct on the device because it is available in Google's Play Music app as are the playlists. I have re-scanned the music folder multiple times, i have cleared data and i have uninstalled & re-installed the app but nothing works. Is there anything else you can suggest?
  18. I am used to embedd lyrics with SYLT Edit by merging .lrc file with .mp3 file but could not able to open in Poweramp by simply going onto Menu>Lyrics>Auto>Show (Error is: No lyric tag found in the song) Please help how could i embedd to show directly on screen by clicking "Show Button" (also tell me which version is supported by Poweramp for lyrics among and for ID3 among ID3v1, ID3v1.1 and ID3v2.2, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4) .
  19. Hi When will there be a possibility to rate songs to file metadata? Am I missing something? It would be a seller for me.
