Build #: v3-build-853-arm64-play Device: Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Android System: Android Pie (Android version 9) Custom ROM: Pixel Experience - Pie - Plus Edition , September Build Steps to recreate: I don't know how to recreate as it is just there. Settings: last.Poweramp-settings Bug/Issue: There is audio clipping when playing music at lower volumes. For example, with instruments like Piano, when a key is played the audio cuts off after the peak of the note is heard, the decrescendo/diminuendo of the note just disappears, it sounds the audio is turned off and turned on again and again or it feels like the power to run the earphones is not enough from the phone but that is not the case. I am attaching Dropbox links two audio recordings for comparison. They are recorded by putting the earphone directly on the mic of another phone so the quality is not the best and has background hiss but the problem can be heard. Please listen at higher volume to clearly hear the difference. Using wired in-ear earphones btw.. Audio from Google Play Music: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dondpuva40lkzm4/google_play_music.aac?dl=0 Audio from Poweramp: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5qppyuetyz81zqx/Poweramp.aac?dl=0 The track/song I am playing is instrumental of "Dango Dai Kazoku". Youtube link for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWWw3JPMRt8 . I am not playing directly from youtube, I have a 320 kbps file of the track it is just for reference.
I recently updated my Samsung Galaxy S8 software to a new version of Android Pie and once I launched the Poweramp app I noticed the sound was distorted and low. It sounded like it had a DVC slapped on it, so once I noticed this I checked the settings and they were the same, the DVC was off. But when I switched it off and on there was the slightest difference. I've been finding others with the same issue as far back as January from the forums and I just hope this can get fixed and update can get rolled out on the app as soon as possible since I'm assuming the app isn't compatible/ not functioning with this version of Android Pie.
I have licenced Poweramp but when I try to use in my chinese android car player (Android 4.4) the sound is awful, I've already disabled the volume control and another settings but the sound stills bad. When I installed the car media player, Poweramp works flawlessly, very nice, 2 days ago, suddenly, the sound turns SO BAD, I restore with factory settings, installed Poweramp but the sounds are unstable, low and awful. My unit has EQ (global) and before of this issue, Poweramp sound was affected by EQ (it was sound great) but now EQ doesn't effect, sound poor and low. I don't understand why Poweramp worked fine 2 days ago and now it can't. The version is the same. I have a Samsung S7 Edge with the same version and it works nicely, as always. Some suggestions?
