I'm a new member of this forum, and I have been making parametric EQ presets for a while, so I decided to post this. It's a new project that brings EQ presets that simulate various headphone models. I wanted to correctly replicate the frequency responses from a site called RTINGS.com, (great site by the way, their FR graphs are pretty accurate and the graphing tool makes it easier to replicate). I also used Wavelet, which has a feature called AutoEQ (compensates headphones to the Harman target). If you want to learn more, click on this link: https://headphonesounddemo.wixsite.com/home If you don't want to bother visiting the website, here are the EQ settings in Wavelet (The reason for this is that RTINGS.com uses a different target curve. So I tailored based on that): Then, download the presets down below (after downloading, go to Poweramp, then EQ, then press and hold any preset and import it). Release 1 (27 presets): PresetsV1.json Release 2 (30 presets): PresetsV2.json Note that the simulation will not be an accurate representation of the real counterpart, I reiterate that I've only replicated frequency responses. I will continue to add more presets in the near future. Any opinions and suggestions will be welcome. Preview (example; AKG K712 PRO) This is the actual graph from RTINGS:
Hi, I have been having issues with bass performance on my Asus Zenfone 6! I used to own a Samsung Galaxy s5, i could crank up bass boost all the way to 100% unless i went above 60% volume. The bass was super deep, its DAC support 192khz and 32-bit My Zenfone 6 also support high res 192khz at 32 bits, however even the slightest bit of bass boost causes DVC to go mad, turning DVC off it causes massive distortions at low bass boost of 30% no matter how low i put my volume. (Both devices use default audio settings and both devices have AudioFX or any sort system wide audiowizard disabled as well as me using the exact same pair of wired headphones for them) Its very frustrating, i cant seem to tune it to its full potential. I have tried literally anything the tweaking offer. What i find strange about the Zenfone, is no matter how low the volume, it cant handle bass boost at all, making the audio very flat. Both devices use the exact same settings and equaliser preset etc etc. My old S5 only get trouble at 100% bass boost around 60% volume, my Zenfone cant even handle 30% at 5% volume. Does this mean Asus went for an absolute trash DAC? or does it mean i need to apply different tweak. Some other music players seem to have more bass potential however nothing close to what im used to from my old phone. I hope anyone can be of help with this ❤
EDIT: Problem solved 🙌 (check out answer below) I got bluetooth headphones almost two years ago and Poweramp eight years ago, and have had no problem with using the headphones with the app before. But a couple of weeks (maybe a month) ago, it started to not work properly. The sound and everything else works great, but if I pause Poweramp using the play/pause button on the headphones, I can’t start it up again with the button. Poweramp now also disappears from the lock screen when I pause, so I then have to unlock the screen, and open up Poweramp to start again where I paused. I can pause and un-pause using the headphone button when I use my podcast app, so the problem doesn’t seem to be universal for the headphones. If I un-pause right after having paused, there’s no problem and the music starts right back up again. But even a 10 second pause is enough for me to not be able to un-pause. There is no problem if the screen is unlocked, I’ve tried pausing and waiting a full five minutes before I un-pause, and it starts right back up. I’ve tried “forgetting” the headphones and re-pairing them to the phone, I’ve tried rebooting the phone, I’ve tried un-checking the “react to buttons” headphone setting in Poweramp and re-checking it (after a reboot), but none of it has made any difference. The problem might have started when I updated the Android version on my phone, but I’m not sure. It’s the only change I have made to headphones, phone or app in a while, but it might be a coincidence since I’m not definitely sure if the problems started right when I updated Poweramp build number -- v3-build-882-arm64-play [882004-437be2ab] Device model -- OnePlus 6T Android version -- 10.3.5
Hi guys, I have a problem with Bluetooth headphones on Poweramp. I have a Note 9 (Android 9), and full version of Poweramp (latest build 826). For most times (but not always) Poweramp has a problem with BT headphones. I mean when connected, YouTube, Google Music and everything else plays music via headphones, but Poweramp doesn't. It just plays through speaker. Mostly I need to disconnect and connect a couple of times, or restart phone. It was tested with 2 different Bluetooth pairs of headphones. I reinstalled whole app, but it didn't help. Does anyone have similar problem? Any tips? It is really annoying, but I don't wanna switch to a different music app.
