  1. I recently updated my Samsung Galaxy S8 software to a new version of Android Pie and once I launched the Poweramp app I noticed the sound was distorted and low. It sounded like it had a DVC slapped on it, so once I noticed this I checked the settings and they were the same, the DVC was off. But when I switched it off and on there was the slightest difference. I've been finding others with the same issue as far back as January from the forums and I just hope this can get fixed and update can get rolled out on the app as soon as possible since I'm assuming the app isn't compatible/ not functioning with this version of Android Pie.
  2. I have bought my redmi k20 pro recently. There's this new "hi-fi audio" switch under the "headphones and audio effects" page in settings which is new to me as I didn't have it in my older Redmi Note 3 pro or Redmi Note 4X. There are some issues when I turn on the switch: 1. DVC: on results in a lower volume. The DVC volume problem isn't a new thing, right? You can totally get what I mean; the volume drops low even when you turn it all the way up. Makes it useless when playing songs in a car/noisy places. 2. The Volume Knob isn't in sync with the actual volume level. Don't know how to put this. %100 volume on system equals to %60 volume on Poweramp. 61-100 volume on the knob doesn't make any change. Changes only appear in 0-60. These are the stuff I found. There might be some other problems that I don't know. I'll include the output detection log. Using MIUI 10.3.16 china stable. New file.txt
  3. In my device (Nokia 6.1 plus), when I plugin my earphone it makes noise only in Poweramp. After I found some problems on DVC. Then I change the DVC settings from ON to OFF then again I turned it into ON. Then only it works fine without noise. I found this same problem with other android pie devices. Is there any permanent solution for this?
  4. Galaxy s8 plus Android 9 v3-build-826 Using DVC with Hi-Res Output causes the audio to come out of the speakers instead of the wired headphones. Disabled Hi-Res as a work around.
  5. Hello Samsung S8 Exynos variant still get problem : in audio setting DVC is said to be disabled by ROM by actually it is enabled. I went to audio output setting and use Open SL ES Hi-res output and turn on disable DVC for it and then DVC is disabled finally. I don’t hate DVC. To be honest I love DVC but on Samsung Oreo seems that DVC is not compatible with system. When DVC is turned on the sound becomes very small, can’t hear it with normal volume. I need very high volume to make music to be able to hear. Do you have this problem? Thanks.
  6. I have a problem with Hi-res output that it can work if only i disable the DVC (if enabled, there no sound). But DVC can work properly with default OpenES output. I really love DVC because it have more powerfull loudness and bass that it suits for my ears. Without DVC, sometimes it happens a little distortion for me and that's quite disturbing. Please fix it if possible. Redmi 4 prime cusrom Aospex 6.0 Pie
  7. Can anyone tell me what exactly is DVC and what it does besides that it "improves volume and equalizer/tone dynamic range"?
  8. I've got Poweramp trial currently installed in my car's android 4.4 head unit and it sounds great. The actual problem I'm trying to solve is to have the ability to fade to the rear speakers. After reading the fourms I believe if I can disable DVC "Direct volume control" my head unit's speaker balance and fade control will take over and I can achieve what I want to do. ( fade slightly to the rear ) The problem I'm having is I'm unable to locate Poweramp SETTINGS -> AUDIO ENGINE -> ADVANCED TWEAKS -> DISABLE DVC I can't locate where the "Poweramp Settings" page is. I can see that the DVC is on from an indicator on the equalizer panel. --edit-- This is the related forum thread http://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/10552-not-pausing-properly-when-making-calls-via-bt/
  9. Andriod version 7.0 Model No. SM-G930F Model Name: Samsung s7 Gold Build No. :NRD90M.G930FXXU1DQC4 Poweramp Version:alpha-build-704-uni Full version Still waiting for updates . Direct volume control not working at all.
  10. when I'm listening to music Poweramp will change the volume, either lower or increase it at the beginning of the next song. I did a hard reset and still have the same issue.Tried The DVC off and on then skip four songs and volume decreases still. I've tried multiple times trying To get answers but no. I paid money for this app and the CS is unless!
  11. Device: HTC Desire 816 Android 4.4.2 with HTC Sense 6.0 DVC - On: There are micro cuts during playback (or maybe volume just drops to 0 for a fraction of a second) when i change volume. No problems with dvc off, but audio quality really suffers. I already tried: 1. Changing "Audio buffer size". 2. Changing "Audio thread priority". 3. Turning off HTC's own audio enhancement - BoomSound.
  12. The volume on the songs keeps going up and down, depends on the instruments being played on the song (for example, if it's only vocals, the volume keeps down, so, when the drums begin on the song, the volume suddenly rises). I have already disabled the DVC, so, how can i fix that, to the volume keeps stable?

  14. i want to implement DVC feature on x10mini rom: minicm10...can you give me a quick ref on what had to added to liaudio or any other lib to implement DVC???
  15. Hi, please excuse me for the long-winded title. I'm using a Galaxy S2 International set (GT-I9100) with default ICS ROM and SiyahKernel 4.1.2, rooted using CF-Root. Audio works both with and without DVC, but I observed that the volume change steps are more linear and predictable without DVC, whereas with DVC the volume change is more like an accelerating curve (volume increases sharply in the last few steps). As a consequence, without DVC my usual listening volume is at the halfway mark, while with DVC it is at the 3/4 mark. Is this normal behaviour for most people's phones? Another issue is that the RG function "prevent clipping according to peak" causes audio to be too soft, in fact nearly inaudible, when DVC is on even though the RG preamp is set at +6.0 dB (like what I do on Foobar2000). This does not occur when DVC is off and the music is nice and normally loud. So what I eventually do is keep DVC on, Apply RG Gain but without the RG clipping prevention. Everything is fine except that the volume steps are large and my music is either a bit soft or a bit loud. Would like to find out if anybody here has similar experiences, and whether this is a Poweramp bug or hardware-dependent quirk. Cheers to everybody, Poweramp is to Android what Foobar2000 is to Windows!
