Hi, I noticed a clicking sound from the upper! speaker or headphone when i pause a title after 2 seconds with a strange hissing sound. You hear it best when volume is at 0. I also noticed this click in facebook app eben scrolling over autoplay videos. As soon as the video stops it pops. When i disable the Direct Volume Control in settings the noise is gone.
The title mentions about noise produced by Poweramp V2. Listening to great music via Poweramp is like visiting nirvana a second chance -- and all of sudden our ears are annoyed by a nefarious noise similar to the after-effects of cereal poured with milk. To stomp that noise (hopefully forever!), based on my experience, I use 'auto-start manager' application. I turn off ALL auto running programs except Messaging, Alarm Clock, and Equalizer. Next restart the device, allow the booting process and run Poweramp. Voila! Return to pure music. No noise only blissful voices and melodious instruments! Got my ticket back to Valhalla with Poweramp (accompanied by vestal angels). Hopefully, my workaround works for your noisy Poweramp. *My device: Asus Zenfone Max equipped with its built-in Mobile Manager (Auto Start Manager).
Poweramp alpha-build-703-play full version Samsung Galaxy S7 Android 6.0.1 Stock ROM Bug description: When I unplug the headset, while Poweramp is playing music, the music stops (as selected in the corresponding menu), but the mobile phone gets stuck in "headset mode". I tested this with screen on and off. As Androind 6.0.1 does not have the headphone icon anymore in the taskbar, you can see this when going to the advanced audio settings of the phone ROM, that e.g. UHQ is still selectable, etc. If I then plugin in and take out the headphones again, it is okay (and UHQ is not selectable anymore). Further effect of the bug: The issue with this problem is that if UHQ stays enabled (or let's say if the phone stays in "headset mode"), the sound of phone calls gets distorted and clips / crackels. Note: It only happens when the sound was playing for a while with screen off. Maybe it is related to a kind of power saving mode of the phone?
