I have used Poweramp for years. Some months ago i noticed my battery either being basically next to empty within 2 hours or holding strong with only 10 percent down over 3 hours. Additionally i noticed my phone turning really hot sometimes. I pinned the extreme cpu usage and batter drainage to Poweramp and only Poweramp. This app managed to drain 84 percent within just about 2 hours... I love the app and would really like to continue using it. Is there any fix for this? I went through all sorts of settings both from android and Poweramp itself but nothing seems to be able to reduce this weird

Constant overheating, terrible battery life (2 to 3 hours on screen time) and lag making the phone almost unusable

Battery drain while not in use is very high, losing 30% overnight (as opposed to the normal 3% or so) and the usage shows as 'Android OS' in the system battery monitor, as 'Held Awake' in GSAM, and it's a Poweramp process holding it awake. It doesn't seem to be USING the CPU for anything, just preventing it from ever entering sleep mode. Blackberry Priv, stock ROM, Android 6.0.1 with September security update. I thought it might be related to the settings to automatically paus
