  1. Oke so i really loved that the app can browse the internet for thumbnails and album arts for the song. ( Worked gr8 in the old versions of the app) I am using the beta app rn and the UI is just awesome. The problem is i cant tick the higher resolution album art checkbox. And also the album art window is also a bit slow to load. (i have proper internet) I hope this post gets some attention and if fixed asap i would greatly appreciate the work ^.^
  2. Hi Max, you have mentioned previously that you will add an option for the Title/Song info to be placed below the Album Art for those of us who want a slim PA, without the need for 3rd party skins. When can we expect this? TIA.
  3. I just got build 797 installed on my Xperia XZ Premium, and I found some of the album arts that could be displayed in v2 couldn't display in build 797 even I select that particular album art (in folder image).

    album art "embedment" idea

I wanted to add an idea that would possibly help "fix" the issue with emeded album art. I know it's very complicated to code a new feature in a app, so developing a way to embed Album art my not be possible at this time. I have a possible solution to this though. I do not totally understand how Poweramp "embeds" their album art work when searching online through the app, but I believe they do it through a cache process. For example, when you have album art missing you can search some online. This creates a cache path so the album will appear in the app, but will not embed it. Would it be possible to import albums caches to a new phone? Let's say someone spent all this time (me, and I'm sure other users) searched album art through the app but are getting a new phone soon. Could they possibly import their album art cache to their new phone? I think it could be possible. Unless the way cache works doesn't allow it... Let me know what you guys think? ?
  5. Hey, it would be nice if the album art can be disabled completely. I noticed, that the handling of album arts is much better (so no image is shown from the wrong album with the same name and so on)..., but I'd like to just always have the Poweramp logo. I mean I could select all songs with an album art and choose none but that is pretty exhausting. Another nice solution would be to remove it for the complete album at once.
  6. Some part of the album art are cut off. And i don't think i like it. 1. This is the actual size of the album art 2. This is what how they show the album art, we can clearly see the top and the bottom part of the album art are cut off. Hopefully it can be fix, thanks @maxmp i love the app btw.

    Album Art in Lists

Since I'm using the Player a lot in my car, it's really hard to jump to a certain song, when theres only text. It would be great, if in Lists the album art could also be displayed
  8. After switching to a newer device the album art cache reset and the new album art Poweramp downloads is completely irrelevent to any tag or word in the song/filename. I remember the album art it used to find and now the pictures Poweramp fetches make no sense. This happens on both v2 and v3. Is it something on Google's end?
  9. Hey max p, Loving the beta build so far, even with the few bugs. Great work on the new design. Just a request, could you please add an option to have both the album art and visualization active on the player screen at the same time. Like a prominent album art, with a dim translucent visualization overlay, so that the album art is still visible, and doesn't fade out. Thanks.
  10. Build: 704 ROM: MIUI 9 7.11.30 (Nougat 7.1.1) Device: Xiaomi Mi 6 Album art shows only when long pressed and change it to a online one. For the lockscreen, it doesn't work at all. But the controls work. There's also a chance of having a incorrect aspect ratio for the album art after changing it. 11. I have hundreds of songs downloadad from Nokia store. None of them are showing album art, tags and info in the Poweramp player. They all work perfectly with other players like Google play music, Samsung music etc. I sending you the music files, please look on to it. (To email: Poweramp.maxmpz@gmail.com )
  12. I hope ChromeBooks (which currently support also Android apps) are target devices for Poweramp I got me a Samsung Chromebook Plus and Installed Poweramp. My music library on a 128G external SD Card (Sandisk) Poweramp let me "enable" the external SD card (folder settings) and discovered all the songs in there, but for some reason (it might be Poweramp or it might be ChromeOS) it failed to recognize the album art in each folder. It only shows the album art if the tracks in the folder have embedded album art. I maintain my library with individual folders for each album, and Folder.jpg files for the whole album Album art. It works well in other 4 android devices I have (smartphones, tablets)
  13. alpha build 703 on xperia xz1 I like to make custom albums with individual song art for each track. Sometimes they are various artists, sometimes they are all the same artist. Usually when I do this I am using mp3 and m4a files, and I have no problems with Poweramp displaying different art for every song. This is one of the main reasons I have always used Poweramp. These albums always share the same name in the 'Album' tag. Last night I put together another one of these albums, but this time and I suppose its the first time I used all flac files. All the songs are tagged with different album art, but Poweramp is not showing it. For some reason, all flac files sharing the same 'album' tag will only show a single album art for all the tracks even though they all have their own embedded album art. If I long press the album art while its playing, it shows the embedded art and will let me choose it, but then all of the songs in the album change to the same art. This only happens with my flac files. mp3 and m4a so far do not have this issue. I tried to explain all this as best I could, hopefully it makes sense. Is there a way to fix this? Is this a bug? thanks
  14. Moto X4, Android 7.1.1 128 GB SD card Poweramp alpha 703 full version I download a bunch of album art. Checked: This PC\moto x4\SD-kaart\Android\data\com.maxmpz.audioplayer\files\Music But this folder is empy. Put the card in a cardreader and connect to pc, folder is empty. Where does Poweramp store these files (they are much better than version on my pc and I want to copy them back).
  15. Whats up people's? I searched hi and low but could find no answer to this question. Hopefully someone here can help. Has anyone had the problem of power amp saving album art to internal memory rather than to SD card? I have an Htc desire eye, rooted and running cypherOs room on Android version 7.1.2. Poweramp alpha build 703. I have been having this problem for a min. Before I know it, my internal memory is full with album art. I tried manually transfering the images to the default folder location on the SD card, (Android/data/com.max... yadi yada) but none of the album art shows up! Its like it can't see the folder. So i move them back and it works fine again. I Even uninstalled removed all ascociated Pwr Amp files, cleared cashe and reinstalled. Same thing. I did notice that power amp is creating a album art file on both the internal and external drives but is only saving to internal. I literally tried everything I know. Im sure it has nothing to do with the root because power amp did the same thing on the stock room. Idk! I'm pretty sure there is no option to change storage location in the player so what am doing wrong? BTW besides for my little issue, overall this player is the wickedest! I have the paid version and live it. When I couldn't get it to act right, I tried every other player in the play store. But.... Power amp is King! hands down! Hope you can help! Thanks?
  16. any album art that's not roughly square gets stretched/compressed, pls help Samsung Galaxy S7 Snapdragon Poweramp alpha-build-704-uni
  17. new device: Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, Android 7, pa alpha 703 1- in library, sorted for artists: albums with album artist (like VA, various artists,..) tagged so differing from track artist, there is title shown instead of artist 2-while playing title X and looking in library/orders for another track Y, choosing info/tags and than "album art" bottom left, album art of played title X is shown - instead of title Y. sorry, no native English, if I'm not understood I'll make screenshots... regards, mike BTW german translation often showing english
  18. Hi I downloaded the beta for this app (currently alpha-build-703-play) and I have noticed that if i leave the player open (on the album art screen) and I lock my screen for more than 3 minutes, then I will unlock my phone and get the screen I left it on but with the album art totally out of place. If i unlock the phone quickly that doesnt happen, and it doesnt seem to happen in any other way. I attached a screenshot of this issue. I have a Moto G4 with Android 7.0
  19. I'm using 2.0.10-build-588. I have no idea how this is even happening. It makes no sense. There's this one album that shows the wrong album art. I don't even know where Poweramp is finding this picture because it's not in the tags that I specifically made to have a specific album art. Where the hell could it be getting this album art? It doesn't exist on the file. It previously existed, but there's no excuse or fathomable reason for it to display anything other than what I specifically put in the tags. I have deleted the album art cache, I have full rescanned, renamed the files, completely reencoded this album, where THE **** is this picture even coming from? Brand new, freshly encoded mp3s and it's still pulling an image that shouldn't exist out of its ***. The download album art feature is not enabled. It's not even the artwork file I'm using because a different album displays the correct image when both albums are using the same file. I have no image files in my music folder, all this is in the mp3 tags. So then, when I hold down on the album art where you normally get the option to set the album art, Poweramp crashes. As I was typing this, the album art finally updated. The last thing I tried was to change the actual album name in the mp3 tag, something I shouldn't have to do. Why should I have to compromise and add an extra space or change the album name AT ALL just for Poweramp to work properly. I specifically had the album name without an extra space that doesn't belong, but somehow changing it got Poweramp to stop being stupid. Meanwhile I have waited FOREVER numerous times to do full rescans only for it to be finished scanning WITHOUT EVEN FINDING ALL MY FILES, so I have to constantly rescan again and again just so Poweramp does its job. Why the **** would it finish scanning when there are clearly more files to add to the library? I payed for this app...and I have to constantly deal with this stupid ****, but this album art tag problem took the cake for the worst level of incompetence I have ever witnessed out of Poweramp. Go figure, the album art problem goes away but now I am still doing full rescans over and over again till entire artists that are missing from my library reappear.
  20. When viewing Album Artist I only got art showing for the first 146 artists, the rest are blank. Sorting with Albums, Artists and Genres, all art appears correctly. I use only locally stored art, no download. I got all my music stored on a 200 GB SDXC in a single folder (~20.000 VBR-0 tracks) with art stored individually in each file (50-250 kB) ----- Sony Xperia Z5 Compact (E5823), Android 7.1.1 Stock
  21. Hi, The album art downloading and saving in PA works very well. However I would like to save these images to some folder and reuse in other music players on my laptop. Where do I find these images on my mobile phone (Galaxy J7)? Thanks
  22. Yes i know there are a lot of topics regarding that issue but i don't seem to find a solution, album art isn't downloading and it wasn't doing so in the last version, i know that on some music the tags could be missing , but not on all 920 tracks Lenovo Vibe V2 lolipop 5.0
  23. All my song album art is displayed in a rather low resolution in the widget. The resolution is fine when in app. I've tried restarting my device, restarting the app, and changing between different albums. I just downloaded the app for this device and haven't had this issue with my previous phone (Moto X). I've tried different album arts but the art in the attached screenshot is an 1800 x 1800 jpg. Poweramp Version: 2.0.10-build-588-play Device: Motorola Nexus 6 (NBD92G) Android Version: 7.0 on stock Android

    Lock Screen Visualization

Hi there. We can control playing from lockscreen. Can change track and also can seek it. Here shows album art if enabled. But I thought, if we can see visualization, it will be awesome. And I love visualization. So please add lockscreen visualization in stead of album art on lock screen if possible... Thank you.
