  1. I'm attempting to use Poweramp my car audio player and am trying to simplify/automate as much as possible. I have several m3u playlists which are in my library folder. They scan and show up with Poweramp ok and work fine. I gather you need to reference playlist ids when using the API, which isn't ideal, so I've tried to ascertain these by trial and error. The problem is, sending the same id will start a different playlist on each occasion. So I have no idea what the numbers I'm sending through are actually referencing. content://com.maxmpz.audioplayer.data/playlists/[number] cmd:20 I'm replacing number by trial and error integers starting at 1. Can any one shine any light on what I may be doing wrong?
  2. This is a bridge to enable support for Poweramp in Android Auto. To make Poweramp visible in Android Auto you need to enter the developer settings in Android Auto and enable "unknown sources": https://9to5google.com/2018/01/12/how-to-enable-android-auto-developer-settings-android-basics Please enable "Alyways Process Album Art" in the Poweramp Settings > Album Cover (feature of Poweramp v3) to ensure the correct album art is shown when the device is in sleep mode. Use Poweramp Build 709 for best support. Anything above might fail. Key features: - Playback control (no sh*t, Sherlock) - Display album art - Repeat and shuffle mode - Access playlists from the menu - Notifications on title change If you like to give me a cookie or two, here is a link https://paypal.me/phrosh [ Download 1.0.2 ]
  3. @maxmp Can you throw some light here? Trying to send an intent to open a file and I can't make it work, I don't know if there is a problem with the API, or if it is Tasker, or if I'm just a noob. This is what I tried so far: Action: com.maxmpz.audioplayer.API_COMMAND Cat: None Data: file:///storage/2EAE-2BA7/Music/0emulated/HI RES/09. Three Little Birds.flac Extra: cmd:20 Target: Service Tried all combinations by changing/filling: Cat to Default Mime Type to Audio/*, text/*, text/plain, and text/html Data I tried file:// instead of file:/// Target Activity and Broadcast Receiver Class to PowerampAPI Package to: com.maxmpz.audioplayer.player.PlayerService, com.maxmpz.audioplayer, com.maxmpz.audioplayer.player Note 1: when I fill Package, I don't get any error, else I get the following: Note 2: the following URI works*, but is not what I want: Action: com.maxmpz.audioplayer.API_COMMAND Cat: None Data: content://com.maxmpz.audioplayer.data/files?lim=1&flt=three little birds Extra: cmd:20 Target: Service *the only thing that doesn't work in this case is lim, it throws every row it finds
  4. Hi, I want to know if its advisable to develop a plugin for Poweramp other than a skin. For example, a widget which would use Poweramp along with other android apps/services? I am just trying to get started with something similar, so I wanted to know whether the developers are okay with it and whether I can publish it on the playstore when I am done. Also, if you have any links on how to get started with Poweramp API, please do share. Thanks!
  5. It appears that the new release of Poweramp is getting nearer. As I use the current api extensively in my app, New Playlist Manager, I have some questions regarding the API - Will a new API be released at the same time? - If not, will the existing API be compatible - will there be any database changes - will there be additional functionality. I am particularly interested in inserting into Poweramp playlists. At the moment you can create, edit, delete playlist and playlist entries but not insert new entries. Max did promise this functionality a long time ago. I appreciate any details in advance
  6. In my app New Playlist Manager, I am developing "Smart Playlist" functionality ahainst the Poweramp Media database instead of the Android Media database. Main reason for doing this is that Android does not offer the ratings tags whereas Poweramp does. However I run into the same frsutrating issue when trying to query for Genre. Both Poweramp and Android appear not to adhere to relational database design principles as I am unable to return "genre" within the same query. The table folder_files holds foreign keys to album, artist, composer referring to data held in other tables. Surprisingly the key to genre is missing. There are url's listed in the API documentation but I would like to return all relevant track info in one sql pass, for example: powerampuri = Uri.parse("content://com.maxmpz.audioplayer.data/files"); return resolver.query( powerampuri, new String[]{pamp.pamptrack_id, pamp.folders_path, pamp.folder_files_name}, mwhere, sselectionArgs, msort_order); but as fas as I am able to establish, genre is not included Anyone have any suggestions?
  7. This was asked at the 792 thread but was lost in the flood of comments. Do we have an API documentation available for 792?
  8. I've been developing a companion application for Poweramp using its developer API https://github.com/maxmpz/powerampapi Unfortunately I've been stuck with retrieving artwork through the API. I can successfully listen to the "PowerampAPI.ACTION_AA_CHANGED" broadcast and I can get the URI or the Bitmap from the given intent, this is working fine (I can display the artwork for the currently playing track), however I would like to get the album artwork for any track, not just the "currently playing" track. In my companion application I am listing the following: All Songs (files) Albums Artists Genres Playlists Queue Top rated (top_rated/files) Recently added (recently_added/files) I can successfully get the folder_id from the files and from there I can get the folders.thumb for the file location of the artwork, however this location doesn't seem to work for me. Is there an easier or simpler way of getting the album artwork?
  9. Andre, next time you communicate with Max, can you ask if he will also release an updated API with the next alpha release As you probably are aware, I am particularly interested in the ability to insert records into the folders_playlist_entries table. Thanls
  10. I am looking to integrate AutoVoice and Tasker to create custom voice commands of my own for Poweramp to do/say the following - 1. Song "song name" 2. Album "album name" 3. Genre "genre" 4. Playlist "playlist name" The idea is to be able to replicate a search/filter action and then trigger Poweramp to play the searched/filtered list. So far I have been able to do only get the song filter working, using the following settings in Tasker - Action - com.maxmpz.audioplayer.API_COMMAND Data - content://com.maxmpz.audioplayer.data/files?flt=%songname Extra - cmd:20 I am unable to trigger the Library Search, that is the reason I have to rely on filtering. content://com.maxmpz.audioplayer.data/search Also I am unable to get the following working - to play albums, playlists, genres respectively using - Data - content://com.maxmpz.audioplayer.data/albums?flt=%albumname Data - content://com.maxmpz.audioplayer.data/playlists?flt=%albumname Data - content://com.maxmpz.audioplayer.data/genres?flt=%albumname Am I doing anything wrong, the song filtering and play seems to work fine. How do I get this working for album, playlist and genre search using Tasker??? Thanks, dharminrs
  11. I'm using the oneplus one running cyanogenmod 11S. This includes an app called AudioFX which uses a google API to apply EQ etc. to all audio sources implementing the API. Poweramp appears to not implement the API because the AudioFX settings do not affect the output from Poweramp. The EQ etc. baked into Poweramp are excellent, however there are features in AudioFX which are not in Poweramp. These include automatically applying different audio parameters according to the output, e.g. headphone, bluetooth, speaker, etc. Either implementing the google API, or adding output-based audio settings would be EXTREMELY great. EDIT: This actually DOES work! Turn on MusicFX in the Tone/Vol menu and long press will take you straight to AudioFX.
  12. In one of the discussions there is mention of a new release which would change the database structure. This was posted last year 2012. (Posted by maxmp 19 September 2012 - 04:43 AM) Note also, that Poweramp 2.1 will have modified schema in regard of playlists, so you may defer the actual release until Poweramp 2.1 (~1.5 months). The current version available (Aug 13) is 2.0.9 build 530. When will the new version be released or have the plans changed??
