  1. I recently updated my Samsung Galaxy S8 software to a new version of Android Pie and once I launched the Poweramp app I noticed the sound was distorted and low. It sounded like it had a DVC slapped on it, so once I noticed this I checked the settings and they were the same, the DVC was off. But when I switched it off and on there was the slightest difference. I've been finding others with the same issue as far back as January from the forums and I just hope this can get fixed and update can get rolled out on the app as soon as possible since I'm assuming the app isn't compatible/ not functioning with this version of Android Pie.
  2. Hi recently received update and after the update the Android pie was fixed but another problem came up. fix it asap
  3. Hi! i updated my Samsung Galaxy S9+ to Android Pie on 15th December and when I played music the sound was way too low, usually perfect sound on 70% but not after update, before update, the Samsung Alive equalization never interfere with Poweramp but now is it, help me, I tried everything like turning off dvc but nothing, sorry for my bad English
  4. Hi everyone, my device xiaomi redmi note 5 4/64, Android 8.1.0. I have a problem with my player, when I listening music with hi-res mode, when get some notification from some messenger or else the sound is off but player not paused, and when I tap pause and then in 2 seconds tap play it is again playing with sound. I tryed to change audiofocus and other options, but doesn't help. And last time have problem when connect headphones, music starts playing from speaker but not in headphones it is some problem with hi-res mode I think, after reboot everything ok. How to fix my problem?
  5. it's me, or I see that those rich and beautiful bass how much accompanied this beautiful application, which makes our songs sound in a surprising way. It has been lost At the time of this new version I see that it has no power that contained the previous version in question of downs in those rich and beautiful lows that has characterized this application so much. I think that as users we should have the same satisfaction we had with the previous version. Well at least in my case I feel that they should improve that before the aesthetic questions that are also beautiful and well seen. but I want that powerful bass sound back.
  6. thanks for the speed change option , im not sure if it was before but i found it after messing around with the app. but i think a pitch / tone change would be great, so you can change the tone for karaoke. or play along with an instrument
  7. Sound volume fluctuation from low to normal at random, volume just dips down for a 1-3 seconds and goes back, it repeats in 1-5 seconds again. It have something to do with Direct Volume Control, because when i disable it everything becomes normal again and never bugs out while it off. Switching off and on every other option in audio settings or equaliser/effects doesn't help. It's very annoying, please do something with it. 8. Hey There. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Fame and when i got Poweramp I felt as if the volume was too low, so I wanted to increase it more to my liking. Though it seems that is easier said then done as when trying to change this the limit option always seems to be the problem. When turned off I can use the equalizer settings to increase sound easily, though sadly it sounds like a complete distorted mess when you do this. And when its turned on I can't get it high enough for my liking as it seems to cap the volume too low. So I was wondering if there is a fix for this at all or if just my hearings getting worse. Thanks for reading and please send me any helpful tips you can. I would really appreciate it.
  9. I have an S3 with the latest updates, I noticed when I play music the volume is really low, I would have to turn up my car stereo/desktop speakers way too high to get it to sound right. I messed with the settings in Poweramp and when I went to: Settings Audio Advanced Tweaks Direct Volume Control I clicked this on and noticed a huge improvement. However, when I start playing music after shutting off Poweramp, this setting is still checked, but the volume is low again. I have to go back into the setting, uncheck it, then re-check it and the volume goes back to normal (volume increases as it should). For some reason it seems this setting doesn't actually stay on if you stop playback, even though it stays checked, you have to reset the setting to get it to work again. -Peter
  10. just got the 4.4.2 update for my galaxy s3 today and now there is an audio bug. For whatever reason during the start of a new song, the volume will go waaay down. So low that it sounds like All the equalizer bars are at their lowest setting(but of course, they're not). Ive messed with all audio priority settings and tried to figure out if another app might be the cause or maybe a new setting is to blame. But nothing works and i cant make the problem happen on demand. It just randomly happens. The bugged audio will persist untill i stop the music for a while and play a different audio (usually a YouTube vid) and come back to Poweramp and hit play and audio is back to normal This has been a frustrating experience. Does anyone have a solution?
  11. Hello I have been using Poweramp music player on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100) for over a year now. Started with trial versions, then finally bought it as it was way better than my stock player, it was perfect . I was using android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean then. Recently I've received an update for my Note 2, from 4.1.2 to 4.3 JB and the stock music player was also updated. So, I tried to compare the stock player with Poweramp and surprisingly now the stock player has more punch in sound quality than my Poweramp, I tried over different tests and seems that stock player really got better . Those who want to try this, try using "Rock" equalizer preset on both players, normal tone settings, bass/treble normal; as stock player don't have these options. Now, try with different songs and see the difference. So, how can I make Poweramp to the same level as the stock player now?..in terms of the punch of sound from the stock player. Thanks
  12. 2.0.9-build-534 Samsung Galaxy S4 4.2.2 (Android Version) Hi When I get a text message while listening to my music through my earphones, I found out that the music stops and starts playing from the speakers Please fix this Thanks Melonhead
  13. I have to two requests for future features. 1. This I have asked for many many times via E-mail. I was told the first time it was planned to be added in the next update (but it still hasn't and has been well over a year). I would LOVE it if you would make it so Poweramp can read the Ratings tag already in all my files. I have every single song I have rated and would love for Poweramp to be able to read these, and not make me re-rate them. Also, standard rating includes 1/2 star (making it out of 10 instead of 5) which is much better. 2. The second request. The Samsung S4 has a feature called Adaptive Sound. This plays tones and then equalizes your left and right headphones to sound more balanced based on your ears. I absolutely love this feature, due to a damaged right ear. I have asked for this feature to be added to Poweramp before but no response of it. Now Samsung did the work of making this feature. Now can you please make Poweramp use it. IDK why but it seems to only work in the default player app (which sucks and I paid for Poweramp). I have tried changing all the setting available in Poweramp but it still doesn't seem to work with adaptive sound. Please, please, please make it work. I will be using the standard music app until then.
  14. Hello Max. first of all: I am very happy with Your player! Thanks a lot for a good work! One thing that I'm missing a lot: Sound presets: I am changing presets very often. Car radio, many headphones etc. Some of them are fine with just switching on the "Dolby" feature, some of them needs only the "Tone" tune, some of them Equalizer push. BUT saving presets does not really save all the sound features it has! It means that if I switch on the dolby feature which fine in a car - without tone or equalizer tweaks and then I switch to headphones, I change the preset, but the Tone stays switched off (althew bass and treble setting is changed), dolby stays switched on (witch I do not want), even the Stereo X does not change. So the preset saves only the equalizer setting, which is... not enough. I (and I belive that others too) woul VERY appreciate, if You extended the presets feature to other sound tweaks that we can set in this amazing player. Best regards, Marcio
  15. sennheiser hd650 or AKG q701.... i listen to Electro, House, DnB, Dubstep etc i know the AKG do have less to none bass but they look just so much better although the hd650s are just so much better in terms of the sound.... btw the AKGs only got 1 cable coming out of the headphone. (i dont really want Beats by Dre...)
  16. I feature I really liked from iTunes was the "Sound Check" option so that I never had to adjust the sound for individual quieter or louder songs, because iTunes would do it for you. Now I'm back to always adjusting the volume. Can you please add a similar feature to Poweramp please?
  17. Hello! I'm quite a noob when it comes to programming or sound engineering, but I have a question I would like someone to explain to me as simple as possible. It just blows my mind how Poweramp dominates other music players on the market with its sound quality so I was wondering how is it possible. I've tried dozen players, both on headphones and speakers, and none of them has the sound quite as rich and colorful, so to say. I know a lot of quality is lost in compression of mp3 and whatnot, but exactly the same file in Poweramp just sounds million times better than in other players. Could somebody (preferably the developer, hehe) discover the secret in layman's terms? Thanks for the answer in advance!
