I would like to request that I be able to sort my playlist by artist, then album (preferably album release year) then track number. If a 3-way sort is difficult to implement, then album and track number.

iTunes supports these tags which it uses to sort Artists and Album Artists. That lets you sort an artist like "Sage Francis" by last name, under F, where he should be. So, great to have the option to use such tags for sorting.
