  1. v3-build-843-arm64-play / samsung galaxy s8+ android 9 After update to build 842-843, search doesn't work. When I touch search button, then not a search panel but it happens: And display goes malfunctioning. See what happens with video. I can't do anything after using search. It worked before but search totally crashed the app and I have to force the app turned off to use normally. Why does it happen? My app is updated latest ofc.
  2. For those looking to consolidate their library content to a single bitrate this feature would be useful. If possible one could even have a unique search feature to only return specific bitrate so they can be removed in batch.
  3. When searching songs or others, it only starts after you typed 2 or more characters. For English this is not a problem because a word has many characters but for languages like Chinese or Japanese, sometimes you can only remember one character of a song, and Poweramp won't search, which is very inconvenient. It will be better just start searching when user typed 1 character.
  4. Please bring back the ability to search/"filter" within playlists. Most of my playlists are hundreds of songs so it was a very helpful feature in build 709 (not 100% sure if it was in v2, but I think it was.) Thank you
  5. Okay, so I'm going to guess I'm dumb and haven't found this. However, I use this app each night when going to bed and I keep having trouble with the following: I have a playlist that I use for passive listening but sometimes I want to start on a specific song. However, when using Search it chooses the song in the group of ALL songs. I would like to search just the playlist so when shuffling (after first choosing the song), it continues playing music within the playlist. I've searched quite a bit and messed with the Search filters but it always chooses songs from my whole pool. Could a Playlist-only Search be added or could I be given a step-by-step on how I may do this if I'm just missing it?
  6. Hello, Long time user, first time posting ! Don't know if my problem is a bug or intended. I'm using Poweramp v3 on a One plus 6 (Oxygen OS 9.0.3) Here is the issue : - On Poweramp, i search for a song - I select a song, it starts playing - After the song finishes, the next is song is from the previous research result On v2, i would search for a song, play it, and the next song would be from the same folder instead of the search result Am i missing an option, i'm using the "Random song, same folder" ? Is there anyway to have the same behavior ? Thanks for the help !
  7. Hey guys, it seems that v3 is missing a functionality that was really important to me with 4000 songs now. We used to be able to search through the list of songs on the current screen with a search bar at the top. It appears this functionality is missing? Or I haven't found it yet? Still getting used to the updates. Overall still a great update and I know this took a lot of time and hard work. And help greatly appreciated!
  8. One of my most used features of pre-3.0 Poweramp was the list 'filter' function. I have very large playlists of many different artists and albums, some of these go into the thousands of songs. I liked to 'search' for a particular song in a list, and then have it shuffle through everything else. I could then dj my own listening experience by searching for another song within the playlist and then putting it in the queue, but when rhe queue ends, Im still in my list. I'd like a way to restrict the global search to my current list, or some kind of in-list search. Another minor issue things brings up: One of my playlists lost about 50 songs in the update, no idea what happened (maybe a cue file got moved), but there's no way to find what I have or don' have in my playlist without manually scrolling through my massive list. Not a big deal, but an ability to search through a playlist would help me fix this. Fantastic update btw, I love the abilty to tweak the output settings.
  9. When I tap on a song in a search list, appears message 'added to a queue', but in fact, there're no changes in a queue.
  10. I don't know if someone have the same issue, when looking for a song in the search box if you type very fast then the textbox returns the cursor when you type space it is like Icantwritetoofast I have to write it slowly to write it correctly Does anybody else have this little issue Ps Im using SwiftKey keyboard Do you think it may be a problem for the application??? Grettings from MX
  11. So, it may be a pretty specific feature for a pretty specific situation, but I'm missing it on v3. I have a mini wireless keyboard, and back in v2, I used to be able to search some musics, press enter to go to the result list, and use arrows to choose whatever I want and press enter again for it to play. In v3 I can't interact with result list, the best I could do would be to create a queue with said results, but first that means I wouldn't be able to pick exactly which one I want and also it wouldn't respect my preference to play my entire library instead of only filtered items. I use it to keep my phone clean while I'm cooking, and sometimes it's really a rassle to get exactly what I want, and on v2 it was way easier.
  12. 1. Add Search to Settings 2. Touch playlist name for go to the playlist home (similar to playing song) and do the same for navigation in others items in library 3. Search in playlists too 4. Restore Info/Tags when press a song in a search 5. Automatic list for never palyed songs and by decade (1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010, ...) 6. Ignore special characters in sort
  13. If im search a song and play it.. after that song the queue should stop itself or should only play the songs i seached for... but its playing the song that alphabetically after the last song that i searched.. there is no option to turn this feature.. please add this (sorry for my bad english)
  14. Hi all, Something that I really miss in Poweramp, is the search option inside the playlist so it shows only the result of songs in the playlist. I am sorry if it DOES have the option, I still couldn't find it
  15. Hi, I just installed the last beta version and noticed a *huge* change in the UI (I hadn't updated since mid 2017, I think) The big downside of that update is the search category. Let's say I search for the 2nd movement of the 9th symphony of Beethoven. I will search for "symphony" and find the right movement. But the size of the album arts makes the search much longer. I wish we could have the ability to get a compact list view, and even better a view without album arts, like we had in the old betas and 2.xx Another thing that I noticed is that when an auto-correction is made in the search bar, you can't undo it. It was possible on the last version I had. My keyboard is Fleksy, if that helps. Cheers, SIHS
  16. Hi, i don't know if I am only one who has this problem, but after updating to new V3 (795 build), after copying new sound file, I am not able to find it throught search engine. Track is in all tracks or if I look for it in folders menu, but by search not. I did track rescan (number of tracks has incresed in settings menu). Stage of my player is that I have one playlist which has paused track. Thanks. MySQL
  17. It would be handy to be able to search songs while making a playlist... Or am i missing something here? Help.
  18. When I search a track my player can't find it, but I listened to it just moments ago. I'm using a Huawei P20 Pro on Android V.: 8.1.0
  19. When you enter the search by folder, the app is closed :c I would be very happy if you repair this problem :3
  20. I love Poweramp. I've used it since my first ever smart phone (Droid X). Probably one of the things I've found it most useful for is audio books (I enjoy immersion reading, listening to the audio book as I read). Since many audio books are upwards of 10 hours long, it's insanely useful that Poweramp remembers your place even after the app is closed. However, that prevents me from being able to listen to other music, as when I come back, the file starts from the beginning. And if I do, I have to drag the slider to where it was before. With 10+ hours of audio in one file, precision is impossible. It would be a great feature if I could type in the exact time code that I would like to jump to. That way, if i want to listen to other music, I just have to keep a note of where my place is in the book, and when I come back, type in the time code and pick up right where I left off.
  21. I noticed a problem that I am having with Poweramp that would require additional option for the search, Such as being able to set your search to search by Title instead of Album by default. If you have a track and an album with the same name, Poweramp plays the first song in the Album and not the song by the same title. Here is an example: I have the whole Dare to be Stupid album. If i search for Dare to be stupid through voice search, it always comes up with the first song on that album alphabetically, which is Cable TV and not the song, Dare to be Stupid. It would be nice to set your search preference so you could prefer song title over album title in the search.
  22. Sorry, if this has been posted before but I find that from time to time I need to reorganise my songs/folders. In doing so, any playlists that contained any of these songs will report it as missing even though it's still there just in a different location. It'd be handy if when a missing song is flagged in a playlist it would give you the option to search for the song or offer to automatically scan for missing songs if they haven't been manually deleted. And also, if a song does exist in a playlist and you delete it, maybe a warning or notification that the song belongs to a particular playlist and won't be available (obviously) if deleted with an option to also remove from the playlist/playlists it belongs to on deletion. Just helps to keep tings tidy Many thanks Oh, and just one other thing, maybe an option to export songs along with a playlist. Sometimes I want a particular playlist of songs on my laptop or tablet for when I travel and it's be really useful if I could export that playlist with the songs it contains so I can drag them onto my other device
  23. First of all, I'm from Spain and I don't speak English perfectly, so feel free to correct my spelling. I just updated my phone to Android 7.1, and Poweramp keeps crashing when I try to search something. The rest of the functions are working well. I tried to use the stable version that it's in the Play Store, and the alpha ones (703,704), and it all keeps crashing. I love this app, and I hope it to work again on my phone soon. Thanks in advance! BTW, I've sent the crash report: New Trace collected : ===================== Poweramp Error Report, collected on: Fri Nov 18 00:07:05 GMT+01:00 2016 ============== ========================= Version: alpha-build-704-uni full version Unlocker: 2-build-26 Store: Play Skin: 7f10016d Device: samsung GT-I9506 MSM8974 ks01ltexx ks01ltexx armeabi-v7a armeabi Installer: com.android.packageinstaller (7.1) Android: 7.1 NDE63X es_ES ART Fingerprint: samsung/ks01ltexx/ks01lte:5.0.1/LRX22C/I9506XXUDOF2:user/release-keys Thread: 2311 thumb handler Stack : ======= java.lang.IllegalStateException: newPosition should be in the window at this point at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteCursor.onMove(SQLiteCursor.java:133) at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteCursor.onMoveWithBoundsCheck(SQLiteCursor.java:158) at android.database.AbstractCursor.moveToPosition(AbstractCursor.java:218) at android.database.AbstractCursor.moveToNext(AbstractCursor.java:312) at im.ll1l(":107) at io.handleMessage(":71) at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:102) at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:154) at android.os.HandlerThread.run(HandlerThread.java:61) **** End of current Report *** New Trace collected : ===================== Poweramp Error Report, collected on: Fri Nov 18 00:07:13 GMT+01:00 2016 ============== ========================= Version: alpha-build-704-uni full version Unlocker: 2-build-26 Store: Play Skin: 7f10016d Device: samsung GT-I9506 MSM8974 ks01ltexx ks01ltexx armeabi-v7a armeabi Installer: com.android.packageinstaller (7.1) Android: 7.1 NDE63X es_ES ART Fingerprint: samsung/ks01ltexx/ks01lte:5.0.1/LRX22C/I9506XXUDOF2:user/release-keys Thread: 2324 thumb handler Stack : ======= java.lang.IllegalStateException: newPosition should be in the window at this point at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteCursor.onMove(SQLiteCursor.java:133) at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteCursor.onMoveWithBoundsCheck(SQLiteCursor.java:158) at android.database.AbstractCursor.moveToPosition(AbstractCursor.java:218) at android.database.AbstractCursor.moveToNext(AbstractCursor.java:312) at im.ll1l(":107) at io.handleMessage(":71) at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:102) at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:154) at android.os.HandlerThread.run(HandlerThread.java:61) **** End of current Report ***
  24. Hi there, all my mp3s have multiple genre id3-tags. A very nice and comfortable feature of my desktop-player is, to be able search in a very intelligent (boolean) way. For example, i'm having a party at my place and want to choose very quick the appropiate music. I know, there are some people, who like rock music but hate electronic music. What I do with my desktop-player (foobar2000) is: searching for music which is tagged with "party" AND "rock" AND NOT "elektro". In fact, I do have some mp3s which are tagged with all 3 tags "party"; "rock", "elektro" (for example "let forever be" by the Chemical Brothers), but I want that just mp3s with the tags "party" and "rock" AND NOT (!!!) "elektro" appear in my playlist. Is this kind of search already possible with Poweramp? Would be very nice!!! kind regards, SiliasPA
  25. It is a little inconvenient when, after performing a search and scrolling through music, that I have to scroll to the top to get back to the search bar or do click on the three dots to get back to the search function. It would be nice if I could just swipe left to bring up the search box or go to a search screen and filter results, or do a new search. This way I don't have to aim for the three buttons or do a bunch of scrolling.
