  1. Hello Poweramp forum, lately I was messing arround with ReplayGain tags for my music collection. I use MusicBee to analyse my average audio level and write properly ReplayGain Tags to my FLAC files. But I do not know how Poweramp treat those Tags. I created three copies of a song. The first one has no ReplayGain Tag, the second has a tag to "in/decrease" the volume to 0 (-89dB) and the thrid has an increase of +6 (95dB). All tracks have the same loudless, when the ReplayGain is turned off. After I enabled the ReplayGain function, all tracks had different loudless volumes. In my settings ever
  2. Hi, I've submitted the bug via Google Forms. When checking the Info/Tags of an Ogg Opus file during its playback, the track gain is shown at a constant +5 dB regardless of the file. Is this a display bug? Does Poweramp use the Replaygain tag or the Opus gain tag, or prioritises one of them over the other (but of course using the respective reference level)? V3 build 823, Oreo 8.0.0, Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL
  3. Hello everyone I'd like to have the function we have in windows players such as foobar2000 of scan the audio files and write the replaygain tags because there are no options in android to do it (the foobar2000's android version can't do it). Thank you very much
  4. Hi. I have noticed, that Replay Gain in Poweramp sometimes not works. If I open settings, go to replay gain settings menu, disable and enable replay gain, it can (not always) start working again. Also, if it stopped working, I can't absolutely hear difference, when I change RG preamp and Tracks-Without-RG-Tags preamp.
  5. Hi, OGG is a much superior format that MP3 (better quality for smaller size) so I'm considering converting the music on my phone to that format. But it seems that Poweramp doesn't support ReplayGain for that format, and I miss that. I know that there is no standard, but it seems that VorbisGain is the most common one. To be specific, my extractor software (Poikosoft EZ CD Audio Converter) writes those metadata in the file: REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN, REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_PEAK, REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM_GAIN, REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM_PEAK Could you implement that ? Thanks.
  6. Bug: Replaygain tags applied by Foobar2000 on Wavpack, both hybrid and full, are being ignored & not detected in Poweramp Poweramp Version: alpha-build-703-play (Full Version) 2.0.10-build-558-play (Full Version) Wavpack Settings Used: Fast Hybrid with and without correction file High x5 Hybrid High x5 3.5bit/sample Audio Sample: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_c2C5tUq8nTMkFsMVo5Q1A0T0U Note: 1khz signal, I believe. It was made by wavpacks creator as a way to test if an app was or was not utilizing correction files. Its just the smallest sample I can share wher
  7. Where exactly does Poweramp read its replaygain tags from? I am copying my replaygain_* tags from my source flacs into TXXX tags in ID3v2.4. I do not get volume normalization, and the "Preamp for songs without RG info" slider affects the volume. I tried these same files in another player (GoneMAD), and do get proper normalization. I believe my tags are according to spec. When I run the file with `mp3gain -s i`, it works in Poweramp. The only difference I see is trailing zeros on the gains. Are the number of decimal places significant in Poweramp's parsing?
  8. Hi, please excuse me for the long-winded title. I'm using a Galaxy S2 International set (GT-I9100) with default ICS ROM and SiyahKernel 4.1.2, rooted using CF-Root. Audio works both with and without DVC, but I observed that the volume change steps are more linear and predictable without DVC, whereas with DVC the volume change is more like an accelerating curve (volume increases sharply in the last few steps). As a consequence, without DVC my usual listening volume is at the halfway mark, while with DVC it is at the 3/4 mark. Is this normal behaviour for most people's phones? Another issue is t
  9. I've moved my music from iTunes PC to my tablet. At that time I did not know much about normalizing in iTunes but processed all mp3 files using mp3gain in order to get a common sound level. Now I realized that iTunes normalization function, which I had enabled while all the files where only played on my PC , stores normalization data in a specific tag as well. So now I wonder, I guess I have TWO sets of normalization data in each file, and which takes precedence when I enable the ReplayGain feature. I also noticed that AAC files, also previously managed in iTunes, plays a a whispering sound le
