  1. HAve used power amp for two years. First on a HTC EVO shift, now on HTC EVO LTE. Using Poweramp 2.0.9 build 556 on an Android 4.1.1 now. Previous versions worked fantastic until this year. Installed an update earlier this year to this current version and build and it emptied my playlists- all playlists names are there, no songs in them EXCEPT FOR A COUPLE SONGS IN A COUPLE PLAYLISTS- so random). Songs still all stored on external SD card (which they have been since I first started using Poweramp). I rebuilt my playlists, and it did it again on July 4th. And now it does it every couple weeks. I have 1652 songs currently,, and my SD card is only half full. It also loses touch with my music files regularly and requires several rescans to find them. This has accelerated since July 4. What is going on? I am an exercise instructor and use Poweramp playlists for my classes. I have had a couple experiences of showing up to teach a class with my carefully constructed playlists empty, even though I had been playing them the day (or hours) before to rehearse my routines. A few weeks ago I had partially rebuilt some of my playlists and exported them to filebased playlists that show in my Poweramp playlist screen as m3u8 files. Just today I went to teach a class and discoverd my playlists gone again. However, my filebased back up was still intact and I was able to use it. I still had to rescan multiple times to find all my songs again, and in the middle of the class the filebased playlist suddenly stopped and zeroed itself out. I had to rescan in the middle of class to get it back. I now feel like I have to export my playlists every time I make a change or risk losing everything every time.I have figured out how to recreate my original playlists by adding back the songs from the filebased playlists, though I have to do it one playlist at a time. And, I had not backed them up again since making some major changes last week, so all that recent work is lost. Please help. I am going to have to find another music player if this keeps up.
  2. I'm synching my music using Media Monkey. Due to unreliability synching through USB I just pull my SD card and synch to that - it's faster anyway. Songs synch fine and Poweramp picks up the new songs in a rescan. However, even though I see MM synching the playlists and they are on the SD card, they don't show up in Poweramp unless you do an Import System Playlists. So the "system" is finding the playlists just fine. Problem with that is each time I do that, instead of overwriting the existing playlists it creates a duplicate set (with 1... added to the playlist name.) Any ideas how to better synch playlists? Thanks
Smart Playlist Editor 1. Playlist name: 2. Number of songs: 3. Selected by: Random / Title / Artist / Album / Highest rating / Lowest rating / Most recently played / Least recently played / Most often played / Least often played / Most recently added / Least recently added 4. Match: All of the following rules / Any of the following rules 5. Rule1: a-b-c a. title/album/artist/genre/file path - b. contains/does not contain/is/is not/starts with/ends with - c. _____ a. duration/year rating/play count/skip count - b. is/is not/is greater/is less - c._____ a. date added/date modified/last played - b. is after/is before/is in the last/is not in the last - c. _____ Rule2: ~~ Rule3: ~~ Rule4....... 아, 그리고 평점과 통계 내보내기 및 공유하기 기능과 dlna 지원도 추가되면 좋겠습니다.
  4. Background Info: I have a Galaxy S3 and the most update to date version of Jelly Bean, as well as the most recent version of Poweramp.I have thousands of songs and dozens of playlists, all saved to my extra 64gb microSD card.Poweramp has successfully loaded many playlists from iTunes through iSyncrI have a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 Macbook pro with 8 GB of memory running 10.7.5My iTunes version is 11.0.4My Goal: I want to export a playlist I created (from scratch) in Poweramp. I then want to load that playlist file into iTunes (which has an identical song library as Poweramp thanks to iSyncr). And after all that work I want to simply burn the playlist onto a CD because after all the tech we carry around in our pockets we all drive cars with out-of-date stereo systems. The Problem: The playlist I am exporting from Poweramp will successfully load onto my computer and open in iTunes, unfortunately once open it is void of songs (empty). My Thoughts: I have opened the playlist's ".m3u8" file in text edit and compared it to the playlist files exported by iTunes and notice that the Poweramp-exported playlists don't include any extra information other than the file location (on my phone's external microSD card). .m3u playlists are supposed to include song durations (in seconds), song title and artist, as well as the pathway to find the file. My Question: Is the reason the playlists are empty because of the lack of extra information in the .m3u (or .m3u8) file? Is there a significant difference between the .m3u and .m3u8 files that I am unaware of? Why doesn't Poweramp include this information? Is there a way to create a correctly formatted playlist file? Does software exist to beef up the bare-bones playlist file exported from Poweramp? If all else fails, any thoughts on getting this playlist from my phone to a CD? Extra Information: Figured since a playlsit file is compact and simple I'd share it with you. 5. I Just starting using Poweramp today after a few years with Winamp. I like the sound quality and control and skins of Poweramp better, BUT... *>> I'm totally frustrated trying to get my playlists working! I spent some time scanning this forum for an answer, but haven't found a real one yet. I use Mediamonkey 4 on my laptop and it works great for loading my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S [android 2.2] with music and .m3u playlists. *>> I can't get Poweramp to include new playlists when they are sync-ed onto my phone. I have the Folders/Library Scanner set to use Auto-scan, Initial scan, USB Disconnect scan, File Manager events, and System Media Scanner/MTP. All I can get from that is a list of "File-based Playlists" that are for some reason "not loaded yet". > I've run "Import System Library Playlists" from the settings menu, but that's a horribly awkward way of getting playlists to work (don't have to do that in Winamp), AND, if I do that each time I sync my phone from MM4, it makes duplicates [...triplicates, etc.] of all my playlists! Yikes! I normally have 20-30 playlists on my phone [i teach yoga and keep a big playlist library on my phone to use in classes]. It wouldn't make sense to me that Poweramp couldn't just automatically incorporate the sync-ed playlists, but I feel stupid that I can't figure out how to make it work :/ My music is sync-ed to the external sd-card: music in the /Music folder, and playlists in the /Playlists folder, and I set 'Folder Selection' to have those two folders checked. Help? EDIT: [too much 'stupid' in original post]... ha! maybe I'm only 50% stupid... I moved all my music and playlists to the internal phone memory, from the external sd card, and that actually solved the problem. Sort-of. On the external sd card those 'File-based Playlists' showed as empty--0 songs in them, but after I moved them they at least now have all the songs in them and work as playlists. Now if they could just lose the confusing 'not loaded yet' message and the .visible '.m3u' file extension next to the playlist name...
  6. Hello, i's it possible to use scheduled/timed playlists? I mean, have a playlist that plays eg. from mon to fri from 08 am to 10 pm and then it automatically switches to different playlist eg. on fridays & saturdays from 11 am to 08 pm?
  7. This seems like a really odd feature for a music player, especially one as decked out as Poweramp, to be missing. Not only is there no playlists for "Most Played" or "Recently Played", but when you choose music sorting options it's not in there either. Could both be added? Also, on a side note I'm noticing that the "Recently Added" playlist doesn't update with the tracks I've added most recently showing at the top, even though I can find those tracks in my library. EDIT : Turns out there is a feature for Most / Recently Played playlists (activated by going to library -> menu -> list options). Still would like to see these features built into the list options submenu, though (the submenu option that you can access by pressing the menu button while in a list).
  8. I have a small problem with Poweramp 2.0.5 build 488. I use TuneSync to sync playlists from my huge iTunes library. The files and playlists are copied to my Samsung Galaxy S2 running Gingerbread. I have previously had Poweramp 1.48 installed to avoid the problem I am describing in this post, but it seems silly not to ask about it if it can be fixed. The names of all my playlists get the prefix "Imported -" before the name itself. On the older version of Poweramp this wasn't the case and it seems extremely silly to have 200+ playlists with this prefix in the names of all them (for example: instead of a playlist being named "Lana Del Rey - Born To Die" it's name is "Imported - Lana Del Rey - Born To Die".) The space to show the names in the playlist list is cramped enough on my phone without this prefix added to the name. These playlists are imported as system playlists. So it is for this reason I write on this forum, to ask if there is something I can do to fix this. Is there something I might have overlooked? It is for this reason alone that I mostly use the older version of the player. I can, of course, rename all of them one by one, but this is just even more silly to have to do this instead of fixing the source of the problem. My thanks to anyone who might have a suggestion on what might be done to fix this. Thank you in advance, Erik Aleksander Moe
  9. I'm sure this has been asked before, but how do I import my I-tunes playlists to Poweramp? I'm running Windows 7, Have a Motorola Triumph from Virgin Mobile running Android 2.2.2 (Motorola/ Virgin hasn't released an upgrade for it yet). Let me know, I like Poweramp so far and would rather use it than my Ipod.
  10. You guys have created a fantastic app, but I have just one request: give us the option to choose which library we would like to use, Poweramp's built in library, or our system library. I have a Galaxy S, and it used to be that your amp worked perfectly in this area. In fact playlists and the music library would update instantaneously, no rescan necessary. The moment a song was added to the device it appeared in my Poweramp library, I would be searching for a song, not see it there, transfer it to the device, and then go back to Poweramp and the formerly empty search field would show the song I just transfered, no memory lagg or freeze up. The music library was even available between every app on the phone. But then when Poweramp decided to make it's own music library, I understand there were some benefits to initial scan times, and multiple sd cards, but the headache just isn't worth it for a lot of us. Would you all consider giving us the option to at least use the system library instead of Poweramp's custom library? Please and pretty please, I beg you. I am a DJ, and as one passionate about my craft I do my best to have my phone equipped with solid playlists to pull from for any given moment in life where a good soundtrack is needed. There have been a ton of really great moments with this app! Your app's queue, search, playlists, crossfarder, and ui are unmatched in this regard! In a pinch I can dj off this app, and that's saying something. But the sad part is I have wasted COUNTLESS HOURS rebuilding my wonderful playlists. Yesterday I tried again, and exported the playlist after adding 140 songs to it. Then today after adding new songs to the device a rescan was triggered, bye bye went my playlist. I was left with 58 songs in the playlist, and an incomplete library, which required another rescan. I can see the playlists I exported in the playlist directory, but why doesn't Poweramp import them when I select import playlists? Do you see how frustrating this is? Yesterday I even began using Winamp!! It's just faithful.. but the UI is much worse and I went back to Poweramp only to find this happen. It seems arrogant of you guys, that you give users the option to disable the system library, but you don't give us the option to choose which library we like better. Please, let us choose.
  11. Love Poweramp, but have a problem. I have the Rolling Stone's 500 greatest songs set up as an album and want to put cover art for each single on. I works fine with artists with just 1 song, but for those with more, for instance the Beatles, it shows just one cover for all beatles songs, even after setting new art. I also have the art embedded in the mp3s and nothing seems to work. Is there a workaround?
  12. Hi, I love Power Amp but I moved over from using WinAmp which had a "Recently Played" option. I believe this is also a feature in Apple products.. It just creates a dynamic playlist of all the songs you've manually played. Just another way of creating a favourites playlist without having to assign a rating to the songs. Amazing player - would be perfect if it had this feature too. Thanks.
  13. On my iPod, I use to have smart playlists I could build based on various different settings, so if I added a new metal song for example, it would automatically be added to my metal playlist. Or if I added a new song and rated it 5 stars, it would be added to my 5-star playlist. I used the rating system a lot I see PowerMP has a "Top Rated" playlist, but it seems to play anything I've rated. I accidentally rated some songs 5-star and didn't want them on my "Top Rated" playlist, so I just rated them 1-star. But the 1-star songs keep showing up. So two questions...can I totally erase the rating I give a song, and can I make "smart playlists" that will automatically add songs based on certain things, i.e, genre, rating, etc.? Thanks in advance for the help.
  14. the new playlist system that can not sync with ANY system playlist is a real pain, it only recognizes the songs have been added through Poweramp itself. If the reason of this change is merging the folders & library playlists, then it's not acceptable, because other player apps like PlayerPro & Meridian Player also support this feature and the playlist is recognizable for the system library. In Poweramp v2, when u make a new playlist it only works with Poweramp itself and u can't find it in for example native music app or any of syncing apps. this can really be an issue for users like me who carry thousands of tracks in several devices and syncing organized playlists is essential for them. Please consider this, I really love Poweramp and I've always said that it's the best player I'v ever used on any device or OS. I don't want to be forced to use another player.
  15. I am moving my copy of Poweramp to a new Android Phone, and I am trying to find the eleven playlists I had made on the older phone, so I can copy them to the new phone. I cannot find them anywhere, and cannot find any information searching the forum as to where they might be stored. Exactly where and in what file format are they when created?
