  1. Hello, i recently downloaded and bought the application. Coming from other audio players, i was wondering if you could please add the following features: - Hi-Res output for the Xiaomi phones - DSD - 2 Passes (as in VLC) - 32 bits support for Hi-Res audio - pitch control - current playlist, playback stop and A-B repetition (as in jetAudio) - playlist import and export - lyrics editing and writing. Sincerely yours
  2. Hi. Recently I got a bug on sample rate used value in hi-res mode. When i see the sample rate value on Hi-res output settings screen, it says that it used 192khz rate. But, if I look that on the output select screen(?) and audio info popup, both says it only used 48khz sample rate. I don't know which one is right? I think the value in the settings screen is wrong, but I also think that my device supports sample rates above 48khz , but both select screen and audio info don't recognize it. Here is the screenshot Sorry for my english. The build version is 847.
  3. Direct HD / Hi Res Output NOT Available on all device's outputs. Poweramp's Hi Res Output is only available for the device's 3.5mm headphone output. When headphones are plugged into the device's 2.5mm balanced headphone output, output is RESTRICTED to OpenSL ES at 16/48. The same is true for the device's 3.5mm Line Out. Balanced and Line Out are both viewed by Poweramp as "Speaker". "Speaker" cannot be unselected in the OpenSL ES menu. It reselects itself automatically. It is not even listed in the Hi Res menu. Only Wired/AUX and USB-DAC are found in the Hi Res menu. The Headphone Output is viewed by Poweramp as Wired Headset/AUX, and receives 32/192 kHz Hi Res output. Using Android Debug Bridge tools (adb shell, dumpsys media.audio_flinger), in players such as UAPP and Neutron, I can confirm the balanced and line outputs output 192 kHz and even 384 kHz (with forced up sampling). It would seem you do not have my particular device to test these builds properly.
  4. Device and Software information: Device name - Nokia 6.1 Plus (Android One) Model - TA 1116 OS version - 9.0 (Pie) Processor - Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Poweramp version - v3 build 816 play My device supports Hi-Res output. But using equalizer causes distortion and volume becomes low. I've disabled DVC and Headroom gain. Use Limit still don't get expected output for FLAC music. Hope you'll have a look at what's causing the problem.
  5. Hello, i try few build version of v3, every versions are the same issue, unable to enable Hi-Res with wired headset ( 3.5mm and 2.5mm connection) Always down sample to 16bit 44.1Khz. the hardware is support HiRes natively Please fix it accordingly. Device: iBasso DX150 OS: Official Android O v1 ( i'm prefer Official firmware because i want retain warranty) Player version : v3 Build xxx
  6. as title, when I'm playing Hi-Res music, the "Bluetooth output setting" is still showing 44.1khz. Does the music is being re-sampled into 44.1khz while playing? my earphone is Sony WI-1000X, and the connecting mode is definitely LDAC (other music player can support Hi-Res mode).
  7. 1. Device: ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M12. ROM: Stock Android 8.1.0 3. Why it should work (and actually works): https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=898479&st=3300#entry78306546 and my personal experience with Hi-Res Output. My headphones also support Hi-Res Output. Here's a problem: reconnecting my wired headset drops sample rate/sample format from selected 192kHz/24-bit to 48kHz/16-bit. Please, fix that. I'm tired of reconfiguring my Poweramp almost every time. By the way, sometimes it just switches to OpenSL ES Output (though Hi-Res Output via headset option is still marked as a selected one). Someone already posted a similar report, but got no replies. That is very disappointing. P. S. Your app is a sheer masterpiece. Really love it. P. P. S. I'm using the latest version of the player. UPDATE: I have found a quick solution: you just stop the track, close the player and open it again with your headphones plugged in. But that doesn't satisfy me. I paid for this app and I want it to work properly (don't want to be a jerk, just willing to help you to improve your great player).
  8. I have a problem with Hi-res output that it can work if only i disable the DVC (if enabled, there no sound). But DVC can work properly with default OpenES output. I really love DVC because it have more powerfull loudness and bass that it suits for my ears. Without DVC, sometimes it happens a little distortion for me and that's quite disturbing. Please fix it if possible. Redmi 4 prime cusrom Aospex 6.0 Pie
  9. Hello, from one update, when it was added a new style and functions with different outputs, i started to use hi res out on my Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 main board device, that has an opportunity of it. But there one trouble that i don't know how to fix. When i turn on hi res out, listen to some music and then after i pluged out and in again headphones and i'd like to enter player again, then it shows that hi res is still working, but discrete frequency turns to 48khz and in a list of frequencies i set up 192khz and real frequency was 192khz and after that restart, it always set 192khz (or more when i tried different) discrete and 48khz of real and when i try to change it, nothing is happening and real frequency doesn't change. How can i solve that or can't or differently this kind of processors don't support it? And what is the kind of magic happens? Or maybe tell me, how correctly enable hi res out. Thanks P.s my device is OnePlus 5t android Oreo 8.1
  10. After last update (b808), my device doesn't even work for hi-res output (just try wired headset option). In the previous version it's work normally. Pls fix this. Device: Redmi 4 prime cusrom Aospex 6.0 Pie
  11. Hi-Reso utput through 3.5 is using ringtone volume instead of media volume on mate 20. Is it a bug or common phenomenon?
  12. So, I've said about this here and there already but I decided to make a topic here on the bug reports. Basically, Poweramp doesn't seem to care about WavPack files (.wv) with higher sample rate than 88,2kHz. I didn't tested this on Poweramp V2 yet but, the V3 betas/alphas, since the 790, for some reason doesn't add WavPack files to the library... But Poweramp can play them. If you go to where the file is with a file explorer, and try to open it with Poweramp (sometimes it can take more than one or two tries), Poweramp play the file normally, and show all the info, like tags, the file type, the profile, data rate... But as soon as the song ends, the player just refreshes itself and go to the "all songs" tab, and the WavPack file vanishes again. Something weird I noticed is, I have one album that is on WavPack+cue, and it is 32-192. That single album, Poweramp adds to the library. After this I tried tons of different programs, configs, profiles, different ways to make WavPack files, and as soon as the sample rate go beyond 88,2kHz, the file is not added to the library. It also seems to work with embedded cue sheet files, but as was said, as soon as this file is beyond 88,2kHz, it's not added to the library anymore. Now about the DSD part, one thing is: Poweramp seems to work wonderfully with up to DSD128, beyond that, like DSD256 for example, it's not added to the library and if you try opening it with some external app, it also don't work. Not really a bug report I think, more of some compatibility issue maybe. The other thing is: since WavPack 5, it got the ability of compressing and carrying DSD files on a lossless (and even reversible) way, which seems to work normally with players that supports this feature. And, yeah, Poweramp doesn't support WavPack files which carries a DSD stream on it. This is more of a report for a, maybe future update to add support to it, not exactly a bug report. But with the very nice hi-res capabilities of Poweramp as a player, it's indeed something to consider. LG G7 ThinkQ, Stock LG UI ROM with Android 8.0.0, no root. By the time of this comment, build 805 of Poweramp is used.
  13. I was using Hi-Res Output with DVC in my previous android version(8.1 Oreo) on Nokia 6.1 plus but after updating it to Android 9 PIE, there are very noticeable lags in audio especilly in audios with higher bitrate like Flac. Also there are new bugs like Poweramp stops after sometime when phone is idle. I wasn't facing any of these bugs in previous Android Versions. PS, I am using similar settings to the previous one.
  14. Music always stop at the end at hi res output, build 799
  15. Yo, I have a question about 32bit audio files playback on Poweramp: do the player actually play it as 32bit or it is "converted" to 24bit? I have a few 32bit wav files, and despite Poweramp playing them very nicely, when I check the audio output info it shows 24bit. Even the resample line disappears when I set it manually to the right sample rate, and it's shown as of it was playing it at 32, but on the output info it shows 24bits. Using my phone stock player (LG G7), I can feel some very specific difference, with the stock player sounding a bit better (even without any kind of modifications), but it only sounds better with 32 bit files... The wavpack part is, Poweramp doesn't seems to find folders with wavpack files, even being capable to play it normally. But if I go on a file manager and open a .wv file from there, it works until I press the back button, them it stop, the screen blinks and it get back to the "all music" screen. Is this something with the app itself or with the files? This part is more about an experimenting I was doing to get a bit more storage since 32bit wave files can go pretty wild on its size, so don't get it as a big problem (at least for now)...
  16. Hi guys, First of all thanks for the best music player on the market at this moment. Simply after the andrioid 7 update on the HTC 10, the option for the Hi-Res output in the settings has disapeared. It is a huge shame, since I only started using it few days ago, after some time because when I used it about a month ago the app would crash after song changes. It started working fine just a little issue with the output latency of about 1300-2000 ms. I really hope that this is one of the things you'll start working on. I hope i can get the Hi-Res back since it's amazing, even in the experimental alpha build. Thanks All users of HTC 10

  18. Hi all, hoping you can help me with my HTC 10 on Android 7.1.2 (Pure Fusion ROM). I am trying to get hi-res audio output working with my wired headset. However, the only option I see in Poweramp Alpha 704 is for a USB DAC. I see Wired Headset/AUX under OpenSL ES Output but not under Hi-Res Output (Experimental). A quick search shows that others have gotten hi-res output working on the HTC 10. What am I missing?

  20. Now I'm using Poweramp V3 with aptx-HD(Bluetooth) output like below. "Smartphone (aptx-HD is activated) -> Astell&Kern AK XB10 aptx-HD Receiver -> AUX -> Car (Audi A6)" But I cannot understand how to set HI-res output setting in my case. Setting -> Audio Engine -> Output -> Hi-Res Output (Experimental) and then there is only two kinds output option (Wired Headset/AUX and USB DAC) and I cannot find Bluetooth option. Please let me know how can I use Hi-Res Output through aptx-HD(Bluetooth)
  21. Hello Poweramp community, I just wanted to report a bug that occurs a few times per week, while Poweramp is used everyday for hours. I have a Galaxy S6, it supports the Hi-Res Output, so I don't have to use the OpenSL EL Output, which is indeed worse than the Hi-Res Output. The bug is that sometimes when my headphones are plugged in, the music still is being played out of the speakers of the phone though the device treats the music/volume as if the headphones are plugged in as usual (tested with 4 different ones). The only way to remove the problem temporarily (it lasts a few days) is to reset the options from the Hi-Res Output, from the menu of the output plugins, and from the output settings in general. After that I wipe the app's cache and force close it, and restart my phone. It did never plays the music through my headphones without restarting the phone, or the other previous steps. I have no clue why this bug occurs, but it is annoying (public transportation). The Hi-Res Output is so much better than the other ones so it would be nice if it works all the time correct not just most of the time.
  22. https://people.xiph.org/~xiphmont/demo/neil-young.html Ever since I stood upon this 'rant' topic, it made me wonder whether do we really need anything above 16/48 kHz. Post your opinions. Note: Could it be the very cause that android itself downsamples anything above?
  23. Hi, I'm for some reason can't get the output icon in the audio section settings to change into 96k I have galaxy S5 and a fiio alpen 17k alpen.
