  1. So, I'm an audio enthusiast/musician with a few different headphones, DACs and amps. Poweramp is my main music app. But I've always been conflicted with DVC; whether I want to enable or disable it. It seems to have VERY different effects, based on my amps or headphones. For example, my 1000Xm3's sound more bassy and bloated with DVC on. I have to EQ the bass much lower. However, with a full headphone amp and DT 1990's, it sounds very 'shallow' and bright with DVC on. There's no body or bass, but detailed treble. With DVC off, it sounds fuller/more punchy, but also quite muddy. It's a drastic difference. With an underpowered amp/dac, it sounds best with DVC on. It's full and warm, with good treble. Now, there shouldn't be such a big difference. Through my PC with WinAmp, both these amps sound identical (as they should). I'm just so confused. DVC has the opposite effect with different headphones. Is it something about controlling the DAC directly?
  2. Hi @maxmp.. Dvc is not working in Bluetooth after updating my poco x2 (Redmi K30) to Android 11. I've tried resetting and disabling absolute volume still no luck. Volume is extremely low when using Poweramp with Bluetooth. It could be really helpful if there is any solution to this problem. Thank you.
  3. Now, I could be wrong about this but prior to upgrading to Android 11, DVC actually worked for me with the individual volume control that Samsung's SoundAssistant had for multiple apps. (take this with a grain of salt though because I could be incorrect however) DVC is absolutely crucial for me due to how it impressively improves my Dynamic range, as stated in the settings and I just can't go without it now. The difference for me is drastic. But...I love to play games on my phone and listen to tunes, and I will turn down the volume seperately for Poweramp and keep the game I am playing at the system-wide volume very very often. Is there any way there could be a fix to this? As when I use SoundAssistant to change the Poweramp's app-specific volume it works for about 2 seconds then returns to the system-wide volume. Thank you for reading this, if any of you know any information as to why this is, or isn't possible, please let me know.
  4. How to check my dvc is not working in my custom ROM? Why no dvc enabled for speaker output? Why no headroom gain enabled for speaker? What is Glitches in Poweramp? What is audio distortion in Poweramp? What is volume drop in Poweramp?
  5. Since now Android 10 is out for many Samsung devices, can we get hi res output in 384khz + DVC? Thank you so much.
  6. Currently using v3 build 860 on xiaomi pocophone f1 miui ver. 11.0.4 from android pie to android 10. I dont have volume issues before but after the update the volume is too low when using Hi-Res Output help me.
  7. as the picture shows my device is xiaomi mix2s,performing on miui 11.1.0.1.0. now the problem is the volume would minimize itself when the DVC turning on together with HIRes output. In other word,to normalize the volume, between DVC and HiRes,only one of them could be turned on. I have not come across this situation ever before untile my devices update to the latest miui version.and the only way to rectify is to reboot the phone.but this methed just can maintain for the first use of Poweramp after reboot.it fail valid once you break off the music. hope to reach for your help, thanks!!
  8. I recently updated my Samsung Galaxy S8 software to a new version of Android Pie and once I launched the Poweramp app I noticed the sound was distorted and low. It sounded like it had a DVC slapped on it, so once I noticed this I checked the settings and they were the same, the DVC was off. But when I switched it off and on there was the slightest difference. I've been finding others with the same issue as far back as January from the forums and I just hope this can get fixed and update can get rolled out on the app as soon as possible since I'm assuming the app isn't compatible/ not functioning with this version of Android Pie.
  9. I have bought my redmi k20 pro recently. There's this new "hi-fi audio" switch under the "headphones and audio effects" page in settings which is new to me as I didn't have it in my older Redmi Note 3 pro or Redmi Note 4X. There are some issues when I turn on the switch: 1. DVC: on results in a lower volume. The DVC volume problem isn't a new thing, right? You can totally get what I mean; the volume drops low even when you turn it all the way up. Makes it useless when playing songs in a car/noisy places. 2. The Volume Knob isn't in sync with the actual volume level. Don't know how to put this. %100 volume on system equals to %60 volume on Poweramp. 61-100 volume on the knob doesn't make any change. Changes only appear in 0-60. These are the stuff I found. There might be some other problems that I don't know. I'll include the output detection log. Using MIUI 10.3.16 china stable. New file.txt
  10. In my device (Nokia 6.1 plus), when I plugin my earphone it makes noise only in Poweramp. After I found some problems on DVC. Then I change the DVC settings from ON to OFF then again I turned it into ON. Then only it works fine without noise. I found this same problem with other android pie devices. Is there any permanent solution for this?
  11. Galaxy s8 plus Android 9 v3-build-826 Using DVC with Hi-Res Output causes the audio to come out of the speakers instead of the wired headphones. Disabled Hi-Res as a work around.
  12. I have a problem with Hi-res output that it can work if only i disable the DVC (if enabled, there no sound). But DVC can work properly with default OpenES output. I really love DVC because it have more powerfull loudness and bass that it suits for my ears. Without DVC, sometimes it happens a little distortion for me and that's quite disturbing. Please fix it if possible. Redmi 4 prime cusrom Aospex 6.0 Pie
  13. Hello Samsung S8 Exynos variant still get problem : in audio setting DVC is said to be disabled by ROM by actually it is enabled. I went to audio output setting and use Open SL ES Hi-res output and turn on disable DVC for it and then DVC is disabled finally. I don’t hate DVC. To be honest I love DVC but on Samsung Oreo seems that DVC is not compatible with system. When DVC is turned on the sound becomes very small, can’t hear it with normal volume. I need very high volume to make music to be able to hear. Do you have this problem? Thanks.
  14. Can anyone tell me what exactly is DVC and what it does besides that it "improves volume and equalizer/tone dynamic range"?
