  1. I'm using Samsung Gear Fit2. Samsung Music Player support playlist browsing. maybe add browsing playlist on bluetooth devices.
  2. Who actually uses the comment field in the ID3 tags of songs? Perhaps no one Who has at least once lost a playlist of theirs that they spent a lot of time and effort creating? Perhaps everyone Who would like to have a song permanently remember which playlist it was a part of? Certainly everyone This is what this feature intends to achieve, via "tags" i.e. comment boxes Message for Poweramp team: I have yet to get an outside opinion on this, but given how many people love categorizing and organizing their music, this feature may be ground-breaking. So it would be something to seriously consider. "Permanent Playlists" sounds attractive, and this concept is incredibly simple to implement. This is your entire music collection You type in a keyword such as "gym" and the list filters songs that have at least "gym" in its comment field You can add more keywords to make your list even more specific, this brings up songs that have "gym, crazy" in the comment field And the list can be made even more specific. Of course, the 3 results mean that there are only 3 songs with at least the following tags: gym, crazy, instrumental Comment fields are where these tags will be. These tags can be edited into the song by 1) via Poweramp itself (Max will need to enable comment field being edited. Will take a LONG while to tag your entire collection cause the tagging is one song at a time) Example: or 2) Using a software like MP3Tag on a computer or another ID3 editor app, and mass-tagging a bunch of songs' comment field. Example: (look at the left side comment box) Of course, there can be tons of other additions to this. The simplest edition: - All the Poweramp team/max needs to do is somehow make it able to search the comment field of a song. This can be enabled (so it doesn't interfere with normal searching) by first typing in [tags] (like in the picture) or [comment] or some other way/button. - Make each comment box of a song edit-able in the "Info/Tags" edit screen The best edition: The above two features... plus: - Comment filtering can be "Match only one tag," "Match any," "Match at least" etc - Songs can be multi-selected within Poweramp itself and then have one/two/ten tags apply to all of their comment fields The BEST part about this feature is it is permanent! Changing your phone/tablet/device? Factory resetting your phone? Categorizing your music into different folders? Transferring your music to another memory card? Changing the filename of a song? It won't matter! All your tags will still be saved permanently on the songs. Organize your music knowing you will never lose your "tags" i.e. playlists. Comments/Opinions/Questions/Criticism? PS: all images have been photoshopped to give an idea of the feature.
  3. Hello everyone, I have this version of Poweramp app (unlocked version) on my Huawei P10Plus smartphone. I want to import my itunes playlists on Poweramp. As far as I know, I need to save them in a folder of my smartphone as .m3u files. Correct? In this case the imported playlist didn't recognize all the songs in the playlists (the number of songs on the device is the same of Itunes ones), how to fix it? Those are the playlists based on files..what are the system playlists instead? Thank you
  4. Hello, I've recently upgraded my Galaxy Note 3 to OnePlus 6. I had almost 400 5-stars rated songs both on my external SD card and internal phone memory. As you probably know, most new phones doesn't allow external SD card, so my question is - is there a way to save any information about rating (or just playlist of all my rated songs) and use it on new phone? I've got like 3k songs total, so finding a correct ones and rating them all over again will be pure pain to do manualy.
  5. Team, Request you to add 'Add to Playlist' shortcut to player UI like equalizer, tone/vol shortcuts. It will be easier to add songs from player UI directly instead of going to settings and then add song to playlist option. Thanks in advance.
  6. I love making playlists, but I have many and scrolling to play them can be time consuming. Is there a way to organize them into folders on the playlist screen (i.e. "Power Pop playlists", or "2018 playlists")? This would sure be handy as SD cards can now hold many thousands of songs.
  7. Hello everybody, I encountered a problem with importing playlists on my new phone and perhaps you can help me. Poweramp version and build number: 2.0.10-build-588-play Your device model: LG V30 H930 Your Android version: 8.0 Your Custom ROM: none Yesterday I received my new LG V30 and I directly set it up as my daily driver. Everything worked but 1 thing, which is very important to me: I cant import my Windows Media Player playlists. On my previous phones which were LG G4 and LG V20 (both rooted and bootloader unlocked), It worked perfectly fine via the synchronize feature of the Windows Media Player in Windows 10. Just had to select the playlists and click synchronize. Then the songs and the playlists were added to the phone (SD Card) and I could import the new .pla playlists on Poweramp via "import system playlists" option in the options menue. When I synchronize the playlists on my V30, the opposite happens: All .pla files are removed from the SD Card and thus I cant import anything because nothing is copied on my phone/SD Card. The synchronize function even deletes every playlist, which is already on the SD Card. When I insert the Card in my old phones and synchronize it again works perfectly fine and all the playlists are again stored on the Card and can be read by Poweramp. Thus it seems something with the new unrooted phone and/or Poweramp does not work, I have no clue what it can be. I hope someone can help me because these playlists are one hell of important thing for me to use every day :-( Thanks Frank
  8. If you create a playlist and then order it by album, the songs play in alphabetical order per album. This is WRONG. It should be by song number per album, or a choice should be made available. Version 709 for Android.
  9. I'm still using Winamp as a music player on my PC and what I love about Winamp is the option to remove played songs from the playlist and save that state when it's closed. This way I never hear the same song twice. I use Poweramp on my S7 for a couple of days now and that option I could not found and miss that already. Is it possible to add that option to Poweramp? This way I can switch between playlists and only hear the songs that are not played yet. Thanks
  10. So I finally managed to import my playlists after some hassle, but now my playlists are all titled with .m3u8 and I cannot seem to get rid of them. Is there a way to remove them?
  11. Hey , today I had to format my SD-Card. Before i formated it, it was named "SD-Karte" on my phone. After formating it Android named it "SD-Karte von Samsung" and now Poweramp doesn't find my music folder anymore and also shows 0 titles in my playlist. Can I somehow change the name of the SD-Card or is there any option in Poweramp to change the path to the new one or can I edit the playlist? Please help I don't want to do create the playlists again from scratch...
  12. As my ROM support using volume rocker for skipping songs while screen is off, Poweramp Build 790 does not respond to long pressing volume rocker at all. Mark/select function does not work at all, it simply skip the songs when clicking songs on Select mode. Creating Playlist does not work. It does nothing when ''Add to Playlist' is clicked. Phone Model: Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus ROM: AOSP Extended 5.4 (Android 8.1)
  13. I have a MP3 player that supports multiple microSD cards simultaneously. However, invariably, whenever I have cause to restart or turn off the device, when turned on again it's usually slower to read or scan the second; every time I turn the device on I'm resigned to losing tracks located on one of the two cards from any playlists referencing them. Since this amounts to maybe half of the music on my playlists, it's getting a bit annoying. File-based playlists might be more resistant to this, and I've seen references to exporting playlists as files, but it doesn't seem possible to do this to specific playlists, or to create playlists as a file-based playlist in the first place. A more convenient means of creating playlists as file-based would be useful.
  14. When playing any set of songs, there should be an option to skip an specific song from being played. This "skip" feature could be right after "queue" within the three-dots menu, and it could have the following options: Skip once Skip for 24 hours Always skip (if in a playlist, suggest to remove the song from the playlist) This feature could also include skipping playlists or albums from being played when in any option of Shuffle mode.
  15. I just got a new phone that came loaded with Oreo. Downloaded a copy of Poweramp 2 and transferred the license. My problem is that the widget drawer has no Poweramp playlist widget. I really, really need that widget, as I have 400 playlists I'd like the simple access that the widget allows. (I organize them into genre folders.) I hate having to scroll through 400 playlists in one long list. Does the Poweramp playlist widget not work with Oreo? If it is supposed to, how can I get that widget? Also, will it be available in Poweramp 3?
  16. Sorry, if this has been posted before but I find that from time to time I need to reorganise my songs/folders. In doing so, any playlists that contained any of these songs will report it as missing even though it's still there just in a different location. It'd be handy if when a missing song is flagged in a playlist it would give you the option to search for the song or offer to automatically scan for missing songs if they haven't been manually deleted. And also, if a song does exist in a playlist and you delete it, maybe a warning or notification that the song belongs to a particular playlist and won't be available (obviously) if deleted with an option to also remove from the playlist/playlists it belongs to on deletion. Just helps to keep tings tidy Many thanks Oh, and just one other thing, maybe an option to export songs along with a playlist. Sometimes I want a particular playlist of songs on my laptop or tablet for when I travel and it's be really useful if I could export that playlist with the songs it contains so I can drag them onto my other device
  17. Hi All, I've got this problem: Poweramp keeps on wiping all the content in my playlists. Why does this keep happening and is there anything I can do to prevent this? It takes a lot of time to create playlists and it's beyond frustrating that the lists are empty after a few days or weeks. Setup: Nvidia Shield TV, with Full Android (custom rom), a NAS that contains my music files (30.000+), NAS is mounted as a local folder so Poweramp can see and play the files. Poweramp alpha-build-703-play (Full Version) I've tried Playlist Backup to be safe, but Poweramp can't open those backuped playlists. So that's useless as well. On my tablet and phone I can only use Poweramp for local files, since someone (at Google?) has decided that mounting a NAS as a local folder on Android is a no go. And will future builds of this app have the capabilty to play from NAS and FTP? I've noticed that there is not really one music app for Android that works totally fine, all of them have some annoying flaw. Neutron Player can play from NAS & FTP (no mounting needed), doesn't wipe my playlists, but it takes minutes to add a song to a list and it doesn't scan all the songs. JetAudio can't play from NAS even though they say it's possible now since a few months, when trying to connect to my NAS, I get this message: Acces is denied and on my phone (files on sd-card) the playlists were also wiped before. Kodi: it can handle video files from NAS or stream them easily, but music takes forever and making a playlist is nearly rocket science and it take ages. I start to believe that Android really sucks for music playing and that it's much better to buy a Windows tablet and a NUC for the tv or am I doing something very wrong?
  18. I've been using the Premium version of Poweramp on Xiaomi Redmi 4A for a year now and I'd like to suggest a few things that I'd like to see fixed/added next time. Thanks! Identical names. For example, you have a few records called "Demo" in your library, the app will list them all only under one name and that means that the tracks from different albums will get mixed up in one list. What I would like to see is "Artist 1 - Demo; Artist 2 - Demo; Artist 3 - Demo" in my library. Also, there's just this weird thing that Poweramp chooses one artist randomly for a compilation or a split record. Take the singles compilation by The Specials for instance, it mainly has songs listed under The Specials and the last 4 songs are released under The Special A.K.A., so in the library for some reason the album is listed only under The Special A.K.A. I think it could use the slash symbol like this "The Specials / The Special A.K.A.", that would work greatly with split releases especially. No albums differentiation in a playlist. Now this one really bothers me. Sometimes I just want to play an artist's discography and instead of playing one album after another the way they're placed alphabetically, it plays every song alphabetically. Yeah, you can play one album and then put the others in the queue, but wouldn't it be easier just to play the artist's discog in two touches? Clearing queue. Not that it's very important, but it seems kinda redundant to me that you have to clear the queue each time it's done playing. Why can't it just clear itself or don't add up at all and work as a playlist for a moment? Once again I really hope you won't brush this off and work on these little things. I'm just looking for the best app and you have a chance to be one.
  19. After adding a song from an playlist (with shuffle on) the player song after that is the first in a new shuffled playlist, as if you just started the playlist shuffled from this song in the library, showing the playlist.
  20. Hi there, it would be great to have an auto-export Poweramp Playlists feature, for example once a day. With this it would be possible to backup Playlists every day to the SD-Card or a NAS. Greats from Germany, Michael
  21. I'm not sure if this is even possible but maybe someone can advise me: When I'm listening to a playlist it would be great if there was a way to advance to next album in the current playlist. Ideally I would like the option to use the >>> key to go to next album rather than to next playlist. Why? Well, my playlists consist of many complete albums (as opposed to a random collection of unrelated tracks) and it would be convenient to occasionally skip to the next album in the currently selected playlist. (Actually I would never want to skip to the next playlist on the fly.) I have tried to research this but my search terms were too generic to provide targeted results. I understand that the more typical content of playlists is unrelated individual tracks and therefore there would be no purpose to the functionality I'm seeking however for some users it would be a valuable feature. Is there some way to configure this option? Thanks for any input Andy
  22. Hello together, Does anybody of you know a program toread .m3u8 files and convert them into .wpl playlists or something similar? Thank you...Binaeg
  23. I am an entertainer, with my backing tracks on my Galaxy S5, to play through my P.A. System. If I use Windows Media Player, on my laptop, I can construct a playlist to play in order, which I can stop or restart as I wish. I have attempted to do this in Poweramp, without success, and a lot of frustration, with nil result. Is there a user guide/manual available for Poweramp that will show me how to do it. My library has 143 Backing Tracks, so it takes a minute or so from the end of a song, to find the next track and press ply. HELP!
  24. I imported a new .m3u playlist into Poweramp. It's in the same folder as my other playlists. It will not populate. I've rescanned, deleted, reimported, rescanned again, and it still says zero songs. I've never had this happen before. Any ideas?
  25. It would be great to be able to export and import playlist's to Itunes on a pc.
