  1. My (Full featured/bought) Poweramp on my Sony Xperia ZL has a weird feature. Only in my car (Ford Focus) it starts playing via bluetooth, so far everything is ok. At the start of a new song within a second pause is pressed (actually visible) and immediately pressed again so the song continues. Problem is you have a second interrupt. This only happens with setting CyanogenMod Metachanged Intent on the selection 'Sony #3' in the bluetooth settings of Poweramp. I've selected this setting because only with this setting the song and artist info is shown on my car display. If I select any other option the info is gone, but the strange pause behaviour is also fixed.
  2. I have seen some other issues with Mazda Bluetooth integration, but none describe this exact issue. I'm not even positive it is a Poweramp bug, but it might be or there might be a way to workaround in the settings. Phone: Samsung Galaxy S3 Android Version 4.1.1Stock ROM from AT&TPoweramp: v2.0.9, build 525 Mazda CX-9 - 2013 The issue is this: When I change tabs on my Mazda screen, it is supposed to pause playback by sending a pause to the player. What happens is different if Poweramp is in the foreground or running in the background: If running in the foreground, it pauses for a second, then resumes playing for 5 seconds, then pauses for goodIf running in the background, it puases for a second, then resumes playing forever in the background. When I return to the Bluetooth tab on my Mazda screen, it sends another play/pause message and either resumes music (for scenario 1) or pauses it (for scenario 2) I have tried several headset and audio focus setting to no avail, but perhaps there is a setting combination that might work that someone can suggest. I recognize this may be a Mazda bug (but it works perfectly with default player) -- but since the behavior is different within Poweramp between if it is running in the foreground or not. By the way, I'm OK with the result in the foreground scenario, even though it is weird it puses for a moment and then plays for about 5 seconds and then pauses again on its own. Thank you in advance.
  3. I just would like to share my happiness and confirm that, after a long wait, my Sony Ericsson MW-600 now displays song track info (title only) with the latest release of Poweramp using it with Smasung Galaxy S III. Is there a possible to implement ifo customisation, such as Artist and Track, if desired? Thank you very much and well done! PD: I had lost all hopes...
  4. Samsung i9003 with gingerbread hm3500 Galaxy SL listening to music using a Bluetooth headset in standby mode, the screen closes 10 sec. When I press the lock button until she stops then the music continues to play music again. Display the phonelock settings, including waiting periods and Poweramp 's play with all the settings but the result is the same one I tried. Using a different bluetooth headsets hs3000 denedimmsamsung, nokia, the result is the same in all JABRA clipper. If your music player when I turn on the phone bluetooth headset somehow works seamlessly. Poweramp waiting forhelp, please 'm licensed also installed the latest version v2.0.5-build-488 :(
  5. When the phone connects to a bluetooth receiver, it works very well. However, when the connection is completed (through the receiver), it is common to not be able to start the music. Even after the bluetooth connection. PLAY PAUSE actions and have no effect, and the counter (minutes and seconds) no longer advance. I have to crash the application to restart the music.
  6. I only discovered Poweramp last week, and I must say that I'm very impressed! Ease of use, sound quality, responsiveness, it's a hell of a thing. I've been using it with my car's BT audio controls. Most of the controls work, but a few don't, and I don't know if there's something I'm doing wrong, or if it's just something that hasn't been implemented. The car's audio controls include folder navigation buttons as well as random and repeat buttons. These don't seem to have any effect on Poweramp. Should they? I haven't tried fiddling with the single/double/triple press settings, but I think it'd be neat if the folder controls would be recognized. FYI it's the stock stereo that came in a 2013 Corolla.
  7. App works great with my brand new Pioneer receiver (car) and Galaxy S III running stock Android 4.2.1. Just wish the Album Art would be coming over to appear on my receiver. Please add this to a future build - I'd be grateful! I happily pay for this great app.
  8. Hi! First of all I'd like to say Poweramp is the best android music player for me, thank you guys for this great app. I almost exclusively use it to play over bluetooth A2DP, and I have two small features to request which would make this app perfect. 1. Option to send the filename over AVRCP if the metadata is not available in mp3 tags. On my car audio display most of the time I see "Unknown Artist" which is because my files aren't tagged correctly. I spent hours tagging them with different tools, but I can't keep up with the pace I'm downloading music. It would be really nice to show the file name in this case, because that contains exactly what I want to see. 2. Option to remember playlist position after changing playlists Sometimes I accidentally switch to another playlist, and then I'm really angry to search where was I in the previous list's hundreds of entries - and its really not safe to search in a list when I'm driving. Also, I have my favorite playlist with over 200 songs which I play usually, and after I switch to another list to show some friends other music, I must find where was I in the big list. Thanks for your time!
  9. Hello, Well done to you for creating this already excellent player Here is a suggestion to overcome a small issue, that I'm sure others may have experienced: Would it be possible to incorporate a master pause button in Poweramp and it's lock screen, that overrides bluetooth AD2P control commands "Play " without interfering with the phone function? Normally when driving with bluetooth selected on the car stereo, Poweramp will start playing. I am able to view the artist info and use steering wheel controls to select next track. If a phone call comes through (car has hands free kit built in the stereo), Poweramp pauses then resumes at the end of the call. This works nicely. If I have navigation software (navigon) running at the same time, the voice from the navigation blends in over the music. The audio level for this can be adjusted independently. There are times when driving I don't want any music, however still wish to use the navigator (navigon) and hear the directions over bluetooth. The problem is if power amp is manually "paused" it immediately starts playing again. If I quite Poweramp using the task manager, power amp will automatically start up again and resume. The only way to overcome this is to make a audio track called "silence" and tell Poweramp to repeat that track. There are no options in the car stereo to pause a "bluetooth audio player", the only time it will pause is when receiving a call, listening to cd or radio. Turning the volume down in Poweramp unfortuntly has the effect of reducing the navigator audio level. It appears Poweramp's volume adjusts the "master volume", rather than having it's own independant control. I would have though a master pause Icon/Button would work, the bluetooth audio channel is shared (phone calls are also channelled). This master pause, could be cancelled by hitting the next button on the steering wheel, should you decide a little music is in order after all! What do you think? Thanks Jonathan. B
  10. Hi, I like the resume playback on bluetooth connect function very much. But it would be nice if one can configure, that playback resumes only on connect of a specific device. for example: I use a bluetooth A2DP Receiver for in car audio and a bluetooth headset for phone calls. If I connect only the headset the player resumes because the headset also provides A2DP. But in this case I don't want to resume playback. Plaback should only resume if the A2DP Receiver is connected. Thanks in advance Ello
  11. Hi world, I'm curently testing Poweramp, it's really great, I was about to buy the unlocker but ... I have troubles with bluetooth streaming in my car ... here is the full story : << Sometimes, I only want to have GPS (google navigation) instructions and no music, so I put Poweramp in "pause" and navigation is running ... but each time navigation "talks", the music start/pause/stop ?!! ... very strange. >> Looks like notifications always start/stop music. Isn't it possible to pause/re-start music during notifications if ( and only if ) the muscic playback was enable before notification. If user has press the "pause" button, please don't start playing. Maybe it's a trouble with Android & Notification system, I don't know. Remarq : I'm using rooted HTC Desire (GSM) with CyanogenMod ROM (cm-7.2.0.1-bravo) I will be disapointed to cannot buy full version due to this point.
  12. I would like to have a feature where in when performing next/previous function using a Bluetooth Headset like Sony Ericsson MW600 or similar the screen should scroll to bring the current song into view in the Playlist/Folder as the case may be. This can also be extended to say that whenever the current playlist/folder from which music is being played is visited the current song that is either playing or paused should come into view on the screen. The current cusor focus should be on this song. Thank you. Linus Rain
  13. Hey Max. Quick UI tweak request: Can you include an option to prevent the screen from turning on when using the phone's volume control or when using BT headset to play/pause/advance/reverse tracks? I use the lockscreen widget, and I like keeping my screen off when it's in my pocket (reduce battery use, avoid accidentally skipping tracks, etc.) but whenever I change the volume on the phone or use the headset, the screen turns on. Hoping for a way to override this. Thanks, Zeff
  14. It will be great to see track name on my bluetooth connected car stereo (default samsung galaxy note have this option - but i prefer yours.... ive paid :-))
  15. Hey there, I've been running into a major annoyance with Poweramp Pro lately. I mostly use Poweramp to listen to audio books, and using XiiaLive for listening to web radios. Problem is, Poweramp is way too aggressive with picking up commands from my bluetooth headset. As soon as I press play, regardless of whether I've used Poweramp since turning on my phone or not, Poweramp starts playing. It even does this is XiiaLive (or Audio book player, or any other app) is currently in focus. This is quite annoying, and looking at the options menu the only two options are to disable bluetooth altogether, or to increase priority? What would that even do? =) Anyway, preferably I would like Poweramp to respond to my bluetooth if: It is currently in focus It is currently playing a file It is told to play within a short time, say half a minute, after pausing The widget is currently visible This would really heighten my user experience. Finally, if this is some kind of bug, here're my specs: Phone: Galaxy Nexus Android version: 4.02 (vanilla, rooted) Headset: MW600 Poweramp version: 2.06-build-507 Full version And using the Poweramp widget, 4 tiles wide, 1 high. Thanks in advance!
  16. Hi, I am thinking about upgrading my car with Bluetooth so that I don't have to permanently play around with my phone when I want to switch a song. I am not too familiar with the technical terms in the feature list. As far as I understood it there is a feature to submit the music via Bluetooth. However I just want to use the controls of a Bluetooth remote and have the phone plugged in for audio. Is that possible? Can you maybe even recommend a BT remote? Or is there another method to conveniently switch songs while I am driving? Thank you!
  17. Hi, I use audible.com to listen to books in the car, and one thing I really enjoy about that app being used in the car is that when I turn off my car, the app automatically pauses the book. I learned that it did this not by sensing when power was removed which I thought at first was how it was doing it, but instead that it did it based on my car kit's audio headset disconnection. Note that my car does NOT support A2DP which Poweramp does support pausing on disconnection of, but my car DOES support regular bluetooth headset. So can you please add an option to pause on bluetooth headset disconnect? Thanks! Justin
  18. One feature I think would be fantastic is to better support bluetooth devices such as car radios which already have an amplifier and equalizer. When paired with a bluetooth device which has a built-in amp, it would be great for Poweramp to output a flat non-preamped signal over bluetooth. This way, amp volume, bass boost and various equalizer settings can be controlled only by the external device. However, when not paired to a bluetooth device which has it's own amp and equalizer, the Poweramp equalizer and volume controls would be used. As always, when wired ear buds/headphones are used, Poweramp controls everything. If this is already an existing feature, my apologies but I've not been able to figure out how to do this. If anyone already know how to do this, please point me in the right direction.
  19. Was wondering if you guys can implement a feature so car stereos that connect through BT can show the Song playing on it. I know if you use play the music through the default android music app it will show the song playing on the car stereo and I think that would be an awesome feature to have on this music app........it would be the first one I could find that would do it. Thanks
  20. Hi Max. Another quick request: Can you make a button under either the context menu or the Player Overlay UI (where the shuffle/repeat options are) that would allow toggling between different audio sources? I alternate between listening on my BT headphones and the phone's speaker, and it's frustrating that I either need to disconnect the BT or go deep into the menu options if I want to switch source quickly. Thanks, -zeff
