  1. I have a couple of issues with Poweramp on my android phone (Samsung galaxy stellar - Android 4.1.2). 1. Often the album art was wrong. So I went into settings, deleted the cache, asked for it to auto-download album art, and then went back to listening for a while. Now, most tracks have no art, and the few which do are totally and utterly wrong. I've got albums with images of a newspaper article! I've got songs with random web page icons. I redid the same "delete cache" and there was some point where I could see a list of possible art choices for the current tune. All of them were absurd. Why does it not use the art from MediaPlayer? And why if I allow it to download its own art does it come back with essentially random images off of the internet?! [update] The fiules are organized on a media card as such: SCH-I200\Card\Music\Adele\19\01 Daydreamer.wma \Music\Artist\Album\#no. track-name.wma 2. Just bought a 2014 Mazda3 with the blue tooth enabled NAV/Entertainment system. My phone and the NAV coupled easily. And they seem to re-couple eveyr time I start up the car (the NAV tells me when it syncs its contact list from the phone). However, something isn't working correctly with Poweramp syncing with the bluetooth subsystem. If I listen to music from Poweramp, then leave my car & take the phone with me, when I return the phone refuses to play/pause/skip/repeat from the NAV system's controls (which worked initially). This is consistent. So - get in the car - select the samsung phone as audio source, listen for a while, leave with phone, come back, and now I can't get the phone to listen to the NAV controls until I manually press "play" in Poweramp. I have tried making sure that I don't close Poweramp. no die. I've tried to intentionally close Poweramp. same issue. I've tried various setting choices for blue tooth in Poweramp (auto resume, don't auto-resume. Wait for full resync. Higher process priority. Don't unload the service on idle.) Nothing makes any difference. 3. Even before I deleted all of the album art from Poweramp, the NAV system never showed any album art (and the current position within a track doesn't update / track the song correctly). Any ideas?
  2. Half the time when Download an album art it isn't the one I want and there isn't a way to earch manually. In N7 player you can do a custom Google Image search for album arts. This feature and it's creative UI are really the only thnigs N7player has over Poweramp.
  3. I submitted this bug using the Google Forms, but given the scarcity of the fields, I'm re-posting here with more details, in hope someone with the same issue has some clues. So I have this album with plenty of different art for most of the songs, and very strangely PA does not want to display the album art it is supposed to. Here's an idea of the different art for each song for the first part of the album: Note that the behavior I will describe here is mostly only on this album, I can't recall having seen it on other albums with similarly embedded art for each song (but not 100% sure about that, it's been a very long time I have noticed this issue and am only reporting it now). My Poweramp settings as regards the art display are these: What may be of interest or peculiar about my setting is: 1) Many of my ID3 tags content are using UNICODE (Japanese) 2) The album content itself is split among two folders (CD1 and CD2), but all the mp3 files in both folders share the same album name. Interestingly when it comes to pick a random picture, PA takes it in either of the folders indistinctly. 3) The embedded art files are using either jpeg OR png (this actually cause a side effect with VLC player) 4) Running PA 2.0.9 build 555 on CyanoGen Mod 11 (Kitkat 4.4), Samsung Galaxy S3 As for the actual behavior, here it is: Say I want to play the first song on the album: Then if I tap the song name to have it displayed in full screen, I have the wrong art. The art displayed above comes from an other song actually in folder CD2 while this song is in folder CD1. I don't have any jpeg file roaming in my mp3 folders so I have no idea why PA has been choosing this art rather than the one for the first song of the album. Now, if I press my android screen for a few sec, the PA UI provides me with the art selection pop-up: And the "530x530 Embed Album Art" is the correct picture ! This means that PA is properly reading the ID3 tag content but for an unknown reason display an other one. The other pictures below are coming from the Internet and are NOT in my mp3 files or folders (despite me not having selected the "download art" option). Don't be fooled by the picture down on the right of this screenshot above, it is NOT the one used by PA initially, it comes from the Internet (I can tell because not same cropping and size). Now the weirdness goes on if I select the proper picture (the one labeled "530x530 Embed Album Art" above), then this picture will be used for all the other songs on this album instead of the one arbitrarily chosen by PA first, and each time I chose a picture this way, PA will ignore the songs embedded pictures and instead use it (at this point, it *may* be a feature I'm not sure). But this is not all, there are a few songs in the album not behaving this way !! These 5 songs share a common property: the Artist ID3 tag is "GUMI" instead of "初音ミク" (Miku Hatsune). This is why I suspect that whatever this bug is, there is maybe something to do with UNICODE, though I tried with other albums having a mix of artist names using Latin and UNICODE character sets without this issue... If anyone wants to fiddle with this issue or need some songs with UNICODE tags, I put the whole CD1 folder shown above available for download here: http://goo.gl/IeJ0Dr
  4. http://imgur.com/UogvCF9 It would be really appreciated if we could make the album art fit to our lockscreen. Or maybe an square option for the top of the screen, having the bottom part covered by the keyboard? Otherwise password users only get to see a blurry cut-out.
  5. I bought this app today and I must say that this is probably the best android music player there is. Great job . At the moment im adding all the missing album art to my music collection. The built in search for album art works pretty good and I can get like 50-60% of the missing album art, which is great as most of my collection is pretty unknown. What I miss is an option to browse through google images and pick one manually. So what I would like to see is a small built in browser to search through google images so that you can pick images manually, if the suggested album art doesnt match. The option to edit the search terms for the album would be great too. Would love to see something like this in a future update!
  6. It would be nice if we had the ability to show album art next to songs in the "all songs" view, at least as an option. It is a lot easier for people to search by image than text.
  7. I would like there to be a way for Poweramp to identify it and change incorrect info, cause i know like alot of people some of my music tracks have wrong names or dont have the albums name or year on it. I would alao like to suggest a option to where we can pick the downloaded album art to be saved as the ablum art for the song/album. Instead of being applied to player screen only Still whatever happens i love this app so please dont over do it on the big update
  8. Hello everyone, this is my first time posting here. (Yes, I have shamelessy created an account specifically to create this thread.) Well, first off, I do not know if this thread is in the right section, but if it isn't, can someone direct me to the correct forum section? Second, I do not know if this has already been asked before, hence I apologise in advance if I am rehashing the same question again. (I have tried to google for this issue, but it seems as though no one has actually made this request... so yeah.) Alright, now that's aside, my request is... ...is it possible to implement a custom internal album art scaling feature? To my knowledge, Poweramp apparently internally scales album art pictures to a resolution of 512 x 512. Phones these days are sporting average resolutions of 1280 x 720, and I feel as though the old preset scaling is no longer sufficient enough to properly display album art images sharply on modern devices. Ah yes, for the record, my album art images, to begin with are on average, 1280 x 1280. I use a Galaxy Note GT-7000. The post in which I obtained my information from: http://forum.powerampapp.com/index.php?/topic/1978-album-art/ The quote: I hope that this feature isn't too hard to implement (or is it even possible?) Can it even be considered, actually? In anycase, sorry for this excessively long post, and thank you for reading.
  9. Hi, Long time Poweramp user, first time poster! I love this app, i even delete the stock music player from my rom. I have a small problem with my phone where, if the headphones are connected to the jack and 'respond to headset buttons' is selected, it will randomly change the track as if it thinks there is a button pushed, but my headphones have no buttons. I need to have 'respond to headset buttons' selected for when i use my SE MW600 BT headset instead of the jack. My suggestion is to have 'respond to headset buttons' AND 'respond to A2DP buttons' options if this is possible. Another is to be able to choose to wipe album art for an individual album and re-download if the art is wrong and maybe to choose from a list of the graphics to ensure the correct one. Last one is to have an auto-rescan feature which the user can select when, eg. every start, daily, weekly, monthly. Apologies if these are already implemented! Keep up the good work Max Dan.
