  1. Anyone have a similar problem with this app on other XHDPI devices or other high-resolution screens? The embedded artwork is sharp and high quality but it appears blurry in the Now Playing screen in Poweramp. Please note that while I have the art currently magnified at 1.12x, it is similarly blurry at the original 1.00x setting. Here is a screenshot from my device (1920x1200 resolution) http://i.imgur.com/aKMXcDg.png Here is what the embedded album art in this file is (1080x1080 resolution) http://i.imgur.com/L2fnuCH.jpg edit: I would post the images directly but they are very large and it doesn't seem like this board software automatically resizes posted images into thumbnails. Is there any way to fix or alleviate this issue? Thanks!
  2. Hello guys, let me start by telling you what an awesome job you have done. This is the first app that i had bought and it was totally worth it. Nevertheless, i have a little request. Would it be possible if the album covers downloaded through Poweramp were saved into each song information so they will be able to be seen also in my PC (Windows media player)? I think the fact that you can download the covers through the app is amazing, but it is a pity that you can not keep those images if you copy the song from your phone to your PC. The same goes to the edited tags (autor, album ...), it would be awesome if you guys let us keep those modifications so we can enjoy them wherever we want to. My best wishes to you all.
  3. If I select an album and play it, it plays from track 1 to the end, say, 12. I'm usually on my bike, and listening through headphones with play controls. If I hit 'play' after the album has ended, I expect the album to start again from the top, however - because the final track (12) is shown and thus selected, it'll just play this again. This feels unintuitive... Suggestion: Could it be an option that after an album finishes, the player stops, then the focus changes back to whatever the user decides, either: - Final track (current default) - First track of current list (e.g. track 1 of album, or first track of a playlist) - First track of next album - Begin shuffle of all collection - Anything else?
  4. Hey guys, I love Poweramp, but I really miss the option to show all songs of an artist. When I want to have a list of all the songs of one artist, there should be the option "show all songs", as alternative to the albums. For example: I have 3 songs on my phone by artist x, but they are all from different albums. So when I want to listen to these three songs, I have to browse through the three albums, that annoys me so hard... Well sometimes I just feel like listening to one artist, not just to one specific album of an artist, so it would be simple to have the option to see all the album songs in one list together. Any other player software has that simple option "Show all songs" first above the albums Please add that feature, I don't want to have to switch to another player just because of that stupid feature... Thanks in advance! Greetings
  5. Hi guys, I would be really happy if I could add some album from my library as a widget ... just tab on albom on my home screen and album will play .. I know i can use playlist like this but album with album cover would be really nice.
  6. I have around 20GB of music on my Galaxy S3, and generally use the option "Shuffle all available songs". Often though, a song comes on and reminds me of the original CD or casette it was on and makes me just want to continue listening to the next track on the album rather than shuffling onto the next random song in my entire collection. Since I most often listen to music while driving, it's a bit dangerous to navigate through the menu to the Artist then to the Album. A simple button that does something like "Proceed to next song on album" would be a great option I'm sure I'd use every day! Thanks for listening.
  7. Hello, I just got a new phone and after getting it all set up and all the data transferred over, I launched Poweramp and found that my ratings and cover art are no more. My music folder is on an SD card, and I used Titanium Backup to backup Poweramp and its data. Here is where I think the problem is: the path to the SD card on my old phone differs from that of my new phone. /mnt/sdcard vs. /mnt/extSdCard. So after the first launch, Poweramp can't find the music folder and I then have to tap select folders and check the music folder. After this my music files are located and ratings and cover artwork are gone. What can I do to remedy this problem? I have rated my tracks and customized cover art for at least one year, I don't want to do this all over again. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  8. I would like there to be a way for Poweramp to identify it and change incorrect info, cause i know like alot of people some of my music tracks have wrong names or dont have the albums name or year on it. I would alao like to suggest a option to where we can pick the downloaded album art to be saved as the ablum art for the song/album. Instead of being applied to player screen only Still whatever happens i love this app so please dont over do it on the big update
  9. Hello everyone, this is my first time posting here. (Yes, I have shamelessy created an account specifically to create this thread.) Well, first off, I do not know if this thread is in the right section, but if it isn't, can someone direct me to the correct forum section? Second, I do not know if this has already been asked before, hence I apologise in advance if I am rehashing the same question again. (I have tried to google for this issue, but it seems as though no one has actually made this request... so yeah.) Alright, now that's aside, my request is... ...is it possible to implement a custom internal album art scaling feature? To my knowledge, Poweramp apparently internally scales album art pictures to a resolution of 512 x 512. Phones these days are sporting average resolutions of 1280 x 720, and I feel as though the old preset scaling is no longer sufficient enough to properly display album art images sharply on modern devices. Ah yes, for the record, my album art images, to begin with are on average, 1280 x 1280. I use a Galaxy Note GT-7000. The post in which I obtained my information from: http://forum.powerampapp.com/index.php?/topic/1978-album-art/ The quote: I hope that this feature isn't too hard to implement (or is it even possible?) Can it even be considered, actually? In anycase, sorry for this excessively long post, and thank you for reading.
  10. I love Poweramp. I bought it long ago (not when it was on sale) and use it on a daily basis for hours on end. However, I have a couple small gripes... First off the bat, I often have problems regarding queued tracks and track that are currently playing. I've posted about this in the past but either it flies over most people's heads, or no one gives a toss. Hopefully I get some feedback this time. I like to queue up a good two or three hours worth of albums and then let it play while I work at my day job. Often I will browse for an artist in the Library, go into an album, and then select the first track, then it plays. The rest of the album is not queued per se, but will play following that first track. I don't know if this has a specific name, but I refer to it as Now Playing. My settings are such that I can go back into the Library and select more albums, long press them and queue them. The setting that allows this is in Settings > Advanced > Queue, and then Start Playing Queue is set to After Current List. Sometimes I will queue up albums without playing something first using the Now Playing method I mention at the start of this paragraph. Here's where I have a problem though, and I have a suggestion that would fix it. Sometimes I'll start playing something (like mentioned above with the Now Playing method) and then queue up more albums. I might come across a song I love, and want to go back and listen to it again. If I accidentally tap too far, beyond the first track of the Now Playing music, the Now Playing album is gone, and instead I am presented with the last entry of music in my Library, which is usually a band starting with Z. So I've accidentally navigated all the way to the very end of my Library and going forward brings me to the queued albums , but not the Now Playing album. I have to go back into my Library and play it again. Here's my suggestion: Instead of having a Now Playing method or mode, why not make everything that is played on the fly put into the queue? It's just like how Winamp works.
  11. Hi ! I'd like to be able to change the keywords used to search for the album cover, or allow to search for more results. Sometimes, it doesn't correctly select the cover of the current playing song, so a long press on the cover starts searching for other covers. In most cases it works quite well. But sometimes it fails : - for custom/rare compilations where the "album" field of the MP3 tag is not the official album of the song but a different name. - The band / album is not well known or looks like an existing name more popupar (the french band "Dolly" always give me Dolly Parton covers) - The album name contains a lot of information (year, volume number, etc.) that I think might prevent the search to return correct results. So it would be nice if a long press on the search keywords (usually band - album name) in the search screen could allow the user to alter them in order to improve the accuracy of the search. Another good solution would be to allow the user to search for more covers. Today the search returns only a few results. At the bottom of the screen, a "more" button could help to find an appropriate cover. Thanks !
  12. Hi everybody, I really don't like how the scrolling bar works... Let me explain: when I scroll down the Artist list, the first 1/3 is reserved to numbers, letter A starts from about 1/3 on. And, in my 30GB music library, I don't have any artist's name starting with a number . More than one drawbak in my opinion: list stuck for the first part (the part reserved to numbers), all the rest more squeezed (this makes precise search more difficult). Moreover, the list bumps when you switch scrolling between swiping the finger up-down and using the bar. On SGS, tested both with Android 2.3.x and 4.0. Please do something, this is the only single thing I don't like in this fantastic app. Marco (sorry for my weird English )
  13. Hi all, I've moved over from PlayerPro to Poweramp and I'm finding the whole app amazing to be honest, loving it so far but I've found one bug (I believe it's a bug anyway). For some reason it seems to have mixed two albums together under the name of one album, as you can see from the screenshot below I now have an album in the Library called "The Jam - Greatest Hits" but within that folder according to Poweramp it has all my songs from my "Squeeze - Greatest Hits" album, and the "Squeeze - Greatest Hits" album doesn't appear in the Library at all. I've checked using my file manager and on my SD Card both albums are in different folders, also looking at the Folders section in Poweramp it shows both albums in different folders, so it's only in the Library that it mixes them together. Is there an option I've missed that is mixing them together? Poweramp version: 2.0.5-build-483 Full Version Device model: Motorola Xoom, MZ604, UK WiFi only Android version: 4.0.3 Custom ROM: 9.0.0-RC0-XOOM-KANG (Wingray - Gapps v5.5 - 02/07/2012)
  14. hello, i really love this app, i bought it and i use it all ths time and i think its almost perfect !!! the only thing that i think is missing, is a buttom in the player itself, that allows me to go to the album of ths specific song. maybe "go to artist" or "go to album" buttoms in the options menu, or swipe down and up over the album art to change to the next song in the album. i think it will make the app even better than now, because now it is pretty complicated to do what i am talking about, you need to go to the library, then choose albums, and then search the album that you want, and it is pretty difficult when you have almost 3000 songs like me... im sorry if you dont understand what i mean... my english is not the best. thank you very much, i hope you will find a solution for me and many others like me !
  15. This Idea popped into my head the other day and I haven't been able to get rid of it, so I thought I'd share it and see if anyone else thinks it's as good as I do... Currently in the main "player" screen there are two different ways of skipping forward and backward through tracks. You can either use the buttons below the album art, or you can swipe on the album art itself. However, in order to select a different track in the album or playlist you are currently listening to, it is necessary to go back into the library menus. A good way around this (I think) would be to remove the track skip when swiping on the album art and instead implement a feature whereby drawing from right to left on the album art gradually brought a track listing in from the left side of the screen. The track list would move in synchrony with the users finger, and would disappear if the finger was lifted. with the users finger moving right to left, and the track listing moving left to right, the two would eventually meet. The user would be able to choose the next track by moving his finger up or down until it rested over the desired track and then lifting, causing the track to play. Its quite a simple idea, and I've probably made it sound more complicated than it is, but it's surprisingly difficult to explain without pictures! but basically the track listing would always move in synchrony with the users finger, (however in the opposite direction). Thereby making selecting a different track from the current album or playlist extremely quick, and more of a "swipe gesture" than something requiring multiple taps. Let me know what you think, I think its a great idea, but then I might just be going mad!
  16. I like to listen to the music based on album/playlist duration. Today I have downloaded trial from Market, but I couldn`t find this feature. Has it been added? (its been over a year since first post in this thread -> )
  17. Is there any way to hide the album name? I need only artist and track. Or it is only requested feature?
  18. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this feature has been lost at some point. In "Library ==> Artists ==> <an artist> ==> All Artist Songs", I wish to have the list sorted/seperated by albums first, and then by track number within those albums. I think this used to be the default behaviour? I just changed to a new phone and I can't work out how to set it like that anymore. The closest I can seem to get is to sort by year (not ideal, sorts alphabetically after year), or to play individual albums with Poweramp set to advance through lists (also not ideal since I then can't loop just the list I want). Anyway thanks for listening, please correct me if I've just missed a setting somewhere! Apologies if this has already been mentioned somewhere!
