    Following https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/18925-good-news-from-spotify/#comment-114375

Qobuz allow usage of their api on third party player especially if the player enable dac support, there is 'mconnectLite'/'mconnect' player that have it (without dac support just as a simple player), also 'USB Audio Player PRO' and several other players that are meant for some AV and specific devices...

As you already implemented something to handle such stream why not make that public and add support for qobuz streams ?

    Thanks

  2. @maxmp Any news on the partnership with the cloud track provider ? is it a main stream one ?

    thanks :)

Edit: I found half of an answer in your other post

    music streaming license

Wow this would be mind blowing if we could play a stream from deezer/qobuz or any lossless stream provider...

    1. Is there anyway to access that beta/alpha version?

    2. Are there any official partnership yet or is this feature just on its own for now?

    Thanks a lot

  3. Alright found half an answer...

    am broadcast -a com.maxmpz.equalizer.API_COMMAND -n com.maxmpz.equalizer/com.maxmpz.equalizer.PeqAPIReceiver -e cmd STOP_SERVICE

The previous command stop the service successfully but am unable start it properly from command line, I tried multiple thing without sucess... ' BOOT_COMPLETED, OPEN_AUDIO_EFFECT_CONTROL_SESSION and am startservice com.maxmpz.equalizer/com.maxmpz.equalizer.PeqService (this one does start the service but audio processing remain desactivated)

Any clue on what broadcast/activity/else I can call to force it to start?

    Thanks

  4. Hi,

The following issue was introduced on b929 and is still present on b940 (it was not present on b908 and previous versions)

    - Freq and gain buttons are not aligned horizentally

    - The color and edit buttons was moved to the bottom left resulting in a larger frequency frame, the previous placement was a better location.

Here is two captures (old version vs new version b940/b908). is it possible to restore the old location or add a setting for it? Thanks a lot

  5. @MotleyG that profile is not a fine tunned one nor the one that I use with my high end headset, I use it rarely and it is meant for the phone's integrated speaker... and no there is no distortion but we are talking about a phone's integrated speaker :D

@maxmp yes I understand, finally I think this has not much to do with the DPI and screen resolution but more with the new locations of the buttons... let me explain, I just have 2 small concerns

    - the width of the frame (freq slider's) get larger on the new version because the color and edit buttons was moved to the bottom left resulting in a larger frame.

    - freq and gain button are not aligned horizentally

Here is a capture explaining what I mean, but basically I am asking if we can restore color and edit botton location where it was before (top right) or add an option to choose their location.

  6. Hi, thanks for updating the app...

I highly prefer the older design the new version is too large and not aligned rightly...

Please at least keep an option to restore the original design or to size the sliders frame.

Thanks for your work (I am premium for equalizer and player app)

  7. Myyyyyyyyyy baaaaaaadddddd !!!!!!!!!! problem solved !!!!!!!

I did not use the app for few months and few months ago I was calibrating intent firewall on android, I don't know why and how "ScanDispatcherService" remain blocked on that firewall... my fault for sure... anyway I just unblocked it on the android intent firewall and its working now !!!!

Ohhh myyy, never a problem/bug took me that long, I did not trust the logs and though there is a bug somewhere, where I just needed to trust the log and go from there as it was indicating an intent firewall problem.

    Ayway thanks @andrewilley

  8. Yes data cleared as it was reinstall, Yes I know that PA can not support everything, this is why I asked for advice as I do not know the content of PA's .scanner.ScanDispatcherService unless i reverse engineer it... and for a proprietary paid app this is a little odd, the rom is my own I am a dev, its basically a clean lineage build without many addition...

just asking for technical advice as its an advanced permission bug.

    Thanks ;)

  9. @andrewilley thanks for the reply and suggestions, indeed i already did all what you suggested without a solution.

When I noticed the problem, I made a backup and uninstalled everything and just installed a clean PA and kept testing the different possibilities while uninstalling and reinstalling each time. it took me some times to test about a dozen of possibility I thought of... even thought of patching PA to add the permission on the xml file but I did not went that far... may be a special system xml permission file can solve that but I prefer keeping things in a "normal" mode lol... wait and see :) just one thing sorry but the attached log is not from the clean test install but from my main setup...

  10. Hi,

The media scanner is failing completely and does not scan files even after the permission is grated (on a clean install on lineage 18.1 android 11) resulting in an empty library.

Tested with a clean install; with the play store apk version and with the uni version the issue is still present.

    Bug : PA Activity : .ACTION_SCAN_DIRS

CMP : .scanner.ScanDispatcherService "without permission blocked by firewall"...

Here are the different captures... is Poweramp missing a permission declaration ? I tried to allow the additional MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on ops but it does not work I guess because the app is not declaring that permission, but other similar apps work without that permission just with read/write permissions...

Note that if I restore a titanium old backup I can still read my music but the scanner does not work... also on the scanner's file selector I can browse the subfolders etc. after allowing the app...

I also tried the experimental feature legacy file access with the same result...

Note that I did buy the app and the equalizer as well. (PA + Equalizer + Unlocker are installed...)

Can you please help with this issue.

  11. Personally I posted this feature request because of AutoEq (https://github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq) recommendations and after using their 10 bands file on parametric mode and been amazed by it...

The only time I got a convolution equalizer working was with JamesDSP (https://github.com/james34602/JamesDSPManager) and the result was more than mediocre, I used the impulse response wav file given by AutoEq which should had produced a better or similar equalization compared to the 10 bands text file used on Poweramp but this was not the case.

So in theory convolution equalization should be better but personally I think implementing a function that would convert that impulse response wav file into a 32 or 64 parametric bands profile (for a more precise equalization) would be a better implementation of a convolver feature and I guess would be a lot less heavy on CPU ressources.

  12. Hi,

Your work is just incredible and thank you a lot for the parametric feature :), I bought the app right away, and after finishing my setup and been blown away by it I just bought the player even if I don't use it... top best paying app :)

Adding a convolution mode would really be great where we would import a wav file per preset. (from AutoEq repo for instance)

    ...

Lastly just as an advice (from a dev), you should update your business model not toward a subscription (I read somewhere that its planned), but making each new important feature a paying one (eq, 2 Euros for the parametric, 2 euros for an eventual convolver etc.) but its just an advice ;)

    Thanks

  13. @Xav1403 Just tested the github AudioEq config for my headset with parametric mode, its mind blowing I get perfectly the exact same sound quality as my custom preset that required me 2 days to fine tune... its incredible that I got the same result BUT the bands settings are completely different its like saying 5+3+1=9 and 2+4+3=9 same result but different equation... anyway thanks Xav for that indication ;)

  14. Hi again...

Sorry for bombarding the forum... your app is already awesome, but I guess sharing the experience is useful...

I suggest adding a button at the end of preset list to import/convert preset from graphical/parametric saved presets.

I played with the parametric preset its amazing but I guess it would require me a whole day to fine tune it correctly so importing/converting my existing presets from the graphical mode would be super helpful and time saving.

    Thanks :)
