Any updates? Was looking for this exact same feature and the current Poweramp does not offer this. I clearly understood what OP was asking for as it is exactly what I was looking for as well. Currently if you go to an artist in the library and and view all artist songs, then choose to sort the songs list by album, it does that but the albums are not shown in the order of year (oldest to newest) which would make the most sense. It does sort the songs by album and by track number properly but the overall order of the albums is alphabetical and not by year. Can we at least have the option to change the secondary sorting of the albums for this sort type? Thanks!

OP - I have this same issue with the latest Poweramp running on my Android 10 based iDoing tablet car head unit. My head unit is set to fully shut down when the car is off, but there seems to be some non-controllable delay before it does fully shut down (despite the screen and lights going dark), because wherever Poweramp left off playing audio, it will be a song or two ahead of that when I turn the car back on, so clearly it continues playing unknowingly for a few minutes while the tablet is in standby before it fully powers down. I don't see any settings in Poweramp or in the HU to change this. Did you ever figure it out?

Currently I only see an option for shuffle which changes after a certain duration (set in settings) and the option for changing per track only goes in order of the visualization list and not in shuffle/random order. Unless I'm missing something obvious, we actually don't have a way to shuffle visualizations on track change??
