That is happening probably because your file manager doesn't have access to that folder....

You could try AAudio output with 196kHz sample rate and float32 sample format.... Float32 sample format often results in 24bit output.

I think they are talking about a normalize volume feature.... Most online music streamer have this feature. It automatically lowers/increases volume of tracks so that all tracks have the same volume.

Would be nice if there was a feature to export PAEQ presets to PA. I won't have to copy them manually. Or maybe a way to sync presets with the main app and vice versa. 😁

Well, according to in-app changelog, it already is available on android 9+. I haven't seen it on my Oreo 8.1 tho, despite AAudio being available from API level 26.

Yeah, the mkv file appearing in PA bug has been fixed. I wanted to retract that part from my comment, so I used strikethrough tags <s>, but idk why it didn't render it on this forum. So anyway about the rescan issue, yeah I have pretty big video files, most of them are HD 1080p 1 hour videos. So I guess PA is taking more time because the files are very big.

Also, I have seen this AAudio bug in the last builds too. When AAudio output is active and I make a phone call, then disconnect the call, Poweramp acts weirdly. It shows the music file is being played, but no sound can be heard. Just for information, I have enabled resume after call and pause in call settings. Everything is fine in other outputs though, OpenSL ES, AudioTrack, Hi-res though. Here's a video of what happens. Screenrecorder-2021-03-27-13-38-26-987.mp4 I can't hear sound at all!

Haha Andre you found me (I am really a fan of sci-fi stories). I found that full rescan time has increased significantly, especially when there's a folder (Movies folder) with a 30 or more videos selected. And looks like during first rescan, although I am seeing music files, their album art isn't being loaded for some reason. The problem is fixed when I unselected Movies folder, force stopped PA, and relaunched it again. Rescan is very quick after that and the album arts loaded. It looks to me that Poweramp is taking more time than usual scanning video files. Now on to the main problem, I am still seeing mkv files in Poweramp but they are treated as mkv (not mka like it used to), which is kind of improvement I guess, but doesn't really fix my problem..... I am not entirely sure why my test result contradicts with yours but have you tried with this test file? https://github.com/Matroska-Org/matroska-test-files/raw/master/test_files/test5.mkv Update: after the rescan is completed, mkv files disappear from PA recently added list as I enabled Ignore video tracks... But I am still seeing two above bugs.

Poweramp currently supports sorting by latin characters used in English (a-z). However in case of Chinese language, I think the support for it would be difficult to add because there are apparently over 50000 characters in Chinese languages.... according to http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/chinese/real_chinese/mini_guides/characters/characters_howmany.shtml . As for this, I think you are talking about synced lyrics. We have a discussion going on about it in https://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/15384-support-for-synced-lyrics/

I am still waiting for an option to attach EQ preset to a specific player. Like how presets can be assigned to output devices. Please implement it, if possible.

With PA build 901 update, it looks like Poweramp is appearing in open with dialogs for all files, including non music files.

Could it be possible that mkv files with certain audio codecs are only affected? In my case, the mkv file contains AAC, and in Andre's, MP3.

The audio artifact can be heard because the equalizer session starts. A fix would be to enable keep equalizer session enabled for that player.

I found out about this bug back in January. Even Andre could reproduce it. And it happens with every mkv file I have. A sample file is this https://github.com/Matroska-Org/matroska-test-files/raw/master/test_files/test5.mkv . I am again attaching a few screenshots.

Yeah, I just added Movies folder to test this bug. I can just exclude it again, but the thing is, for folder like Downloads, where both audio and video files are downloaded, it's really a pain. If I exclude the entire Downloads folder from being scanned, I can't find those audio files on Poweramp. The only workaround in that case would be to moving the audio files to a separate folder.

I am still seeing the bug I mentioned before. MKV files (with video stream) are still being interpreted in Poweramp as mka and they are being shown even though Ignore video tracks is enabled.

It only happens in AAudio Hi-res mode at Float32 192KHz output.
