  1. Q factor is not gain, it's inversely related to bandwidth, it determines how wide the resulting curve can be.
  2. @redlith looks like the bands shown in the screen have 0dB gain, as such they do not have show up in the frequency graph.
  3. So I did some testing, I was indeed able to reproduce this bug. I picked MX player as the second player and looks like pause on permanent audio focus change is working. Then I disabled Play alone toggle in MX player settings. Pause on permanent audio focus change feature stopped working. Poweramp would no longer pause when MX player is playing, or vice versa. As you can see, Play alone feature in MX player automatically stops Poweramp/other players as soon as the user plays something in MX player. I tried this with another music player, it also behaves the same way. My conclusion is that, pause on permanent audio focus settings is dependent on support of both players. Though I am not entirely sure how it works with Alexa, Max would probably able to help more.
  4. Try enabling Permanent Audio Focus Change toggle from Settings > Audio > Audio Focus
  5. + 1 I am surprised there isn't a preset selection system for Compressor yet.
  6. As far as I can see, they are available only for type of music player apps, I can't disable DVC or headroom gain specifically for Speaker output. For example, for Spotify, I want to keep DVC enabled while on AUX and have it disabled on Speaker/USB DAC.
  7. Can we have a switch to disable/enable settings per output device? Such as enabling DVC on AUX but disabling it on Speaker output, and disabling EQ on USB DAC while having it enabled for other output devices.
  8. Minimum requirements for running Poweramp v3 is Android 5 (Lolipop). While the legacy Poweramp v2 supports even as low as Android 2.3. So you should be able to use the latest version of Poweramp v3 on a Android 6 device.
  9. Yup, auto save is always enabled for the Parametric EQ. The toggle should be disabled like in PEQ app unless the dev wants to change this behavior.
  10. Let's say my phone is in dark mode, I am using Liv dark, when I turn on light mode in the system, Poweramp would automatically switch to a different skin I specified (i.e Yaps). It's a bit of a hassle to change the background of Poweramp UI each time to black/white.
  11. Well I think they are requesting that Poweramp would act like foobar2000 and automatically add replaygain value to each tracks. Or maybe a normalise feature/ACG.
  12. Please consider updating hints/help instructions. Would be nice to include some tips for the parametric EQ.
  13. I think Max said he plans to implement dynamic switching of EQ modes. Or just a button on the EQ interface to switch between two modes quickly would be nice too
  14. In my opinion, yes. Not sure about Yaps, but Liv dark already gives an option to switch to the default album art.
  15. Well, the thing is, it was supposed to be that you can modify the logo style, color, size but. At first glance, it makes it look like I am using a music player named Liv dark, rather than Poweramp. I suspect some people would like the skin's logo there, so it would be better to not disappoint them. Besides Poweramp is highly customisable, I expect its skin to be so as well!
  16. As we have discussed there, I would like Liv dark to show default Poweramp logo in the bottom overflow menu instead of Liv dark's logo. An option to choose between Poweramp logo and Liv dark would be great. 👍🏻
  17. 😆 Thanks fdman I agree, I use two different skins for two apps, would like it in Liv dark as well.
  18. You don't need to enable Advanced player tracking for equalizing Poweramp though, just enable MusicFX option from Settings > Audio > Advanced tweaks > MusicFX. And enable the button from the EQ page.
  19. PEQ only works with players that support equalization by default. For some players you'd need to toggle a setting in that player to enable equalization. Others such as YouTube, Tidal, MX player, radio apps, etc specifically disallow equalization. You'd need to enable Advanced player tracking mode in PEQ. It's a bit tricky procedure however, there's a quick guide if you wanna take a look.
  20. Thanks that fixed my problem. Upto 80% it's all good and readable. I was looking for a different kind of solution to be honest; like the one I mentioned above, or maybe the song name label could dynamically switch to an appropriate color based on the album art/background?
  21. Just a suggestion, would be nice to have sound kind of color in the song name or around its border. Because of this B&W album art blur in the background, the song name looks like it is invisible.
  22. Oh thanks, I understand. I thought it was a skin implementation bug. I was waiting for a response from a skin developer.
  23. Yeah, current parametric EQ implementation in PEQ is all about tuning the sound with less bands. While in graphical EQ, you need more bands to tune it better.
