How to make MX Player Pro work with it? Am I supposed to enable/disable something in MX Player settings? And I found this, is this what "direct output" is? So should I disable it?
-
Getting this error for some reason when I try to buy on Play Store, Idk why. Probably because I updated it through the website.

Poweramp Was Killed - Poweramp is not being optimized.

Just a suggestion, have you tried setting up wakelock? In Settings >. Misc? Not sure if it would help but no harm in trying. -
Just noting, ViPER4Android FX can be used on Android 6.0+ devices. But it apparently requires root access. I am foreseeing/guessing even if Maxmp implements something like that on PEQ, it won't be usable without root/ADB access because of Android system limitations. 🤔

Oh I am on Android 10 and after rebooting all equalizer sessions were cleared. On another note, I think it would look good if you add something like "No active player" left to the small info icon if no player is active. Just a suggestion though

Are you running it on an emulator? (Just out of curiosity,I'm not a support staff) -
And I looked into it more closely and found that even though EQ session of MX Player Pro is being kept, nothing is being equalized. It's like beating a dead horse or chasing after a mirage.
-
Dunno, how exactly this happened but MX player pro showed up there..... But I am still noticing the problem Mayuri mentioned, EQ session is still being kept. "Force stopping" the affected apps doesn't remove the audio sessions but uninstalling them does remove it. And of course, rebooting the device does as well.
-
Yep, the same bug happens to me too. I remember Max said some players never report closing audio sessions, I am guessing it has something to do with that 🤔
-
Just out of curiosity, why `<uses-permission name="android.permission.WRITE_SETTINGS"/>` is defined in AndroidManifest.xml? I haven't seen PEQ explicitly asking for this perm.
-
Oh so you mean you would hardcode something in the PEQ code to make MX Player Pro as an exception? If yes, I think it would be nice to let users force EQ on unsupported apps directly from the PEQ interface (for advanced users of course). I am sure there are other apps like MX Player which refuse to be equalized.
-
I am guessing MX player just doesn't support external equalization and even with ADB permission, PAQ fails to detect it. I wonder if it can be "forced" though.
-
And oh, I forgot to ask about MX Player Pro. Can Poweramp EQ work with it? with adb perms of course. Advanced player tracking, I mean. Poweramp EQ currently can't detect MX player pro, it seems.
-
Would it possible to enable/disable equalization in one tap from the status bar tiles? I note that there is a similar tile for Poweramp which makes Poweramp start when clicked on.
-
@Edgie70 even though nothing is being played on Chrome?
-
Uh, just disabled keep Equalizer session setting and so far I haven't noticed any problem. 🙂
-
Oh,I am actually using a Xiaomi device (MIUI 12). As this is offtopic for this thread and forum, we could sort this out in DM/PM if you want.
-
Yeah toggled it off, it was removed from active players. And then turned it on. But the session still seemed to be ongoing. Would be nice if there was a session timeout feature.
-
If you have got another device handy and know how to use USB OTG. Then I recommend this app. You can use it run adb commands on another phone. I tried and seemed to be working well

Idk why but Spotify audio session doesn't seem to be closing even tho I have stopped playing music on Spotify long ago. Any way to terminate a session?
-
Oh I would be waiting for that. I assume YouTube music bug with audio sessions would be fixed if we grant this special permission?
