  1. Sorry, I was away the majority of the weekend so I didn't get an opportunity to try this until now. It worked! I don't think it transferred the photos for the playlists themselves even though all boxes were checked but I don't even care, I'm just happy to have it all on the new phone. Thanks for the help!
  2. Thanks I originally transferred everything through Wi-Fi, I just tried doing this the same way and have not been successful. Not sure if these steps need to be done while being plugged in? I have and SD card in the S20 that has issues of the device not being recognized when a cable is connected for whatever reason. Everything else on the phone works fine.
  3. I recently purchased a new S23 ultra and I'm in the process of transferring data over from my S20+. All the music files appear to have transferred over without issue. Is there a way to restore the playlists and cover art? Thanks
  4. I did the full rescan and now everything seems to be working properly. A huge relief! I'm going to have to enable the backup for my album covers from now on because they took a hit once I switched to the new card as well but I was more worried about getting the files to play. Thanks!
  5. I was initially using the new SD card to try it out and when I saw the issue, I reverted back to the old one. The thing is, that it is currently doing it on both now. Perhaps it wasn't working right on the original card after the Android 13 update but I didn't notice. I usually listen to music through PA constantly but haven't been listening nearly as much the last couple of weeks because I've been streaming some shows on SXM. I haven't tried a full rescan yet because I was afraid after reading the WARNING reading. I can attempt to do this though if it might resolve the issue. When I do attempt to play a song and the Failed to play message pops up it says storage unmounted directly underneath it.
  6. I appreciate the help but none of these suggestions seem to be working. Super confusing and irritating. The only other player I have on my phone is the default Samsung player and it is playing everything. Huge bummer.
  7. I just had a similar experience recently and while researching the issue it brought me to this post. I originally had an S9 with a 128GB SD card that contained roughly around 80 gig of music. When I updated my phone to an S20, I transferred the card and noticed a few glitches. Not necessarily all involving Poweramp but also syncing in general. Not sure if the card became corrupted but I was no longer able to sync music ripped from CD's through the Windows Media Player. This method worked briefly after the switch but was very glitchy and got to the point it stopped working altogether. It wouldn't recognize the card but if it was removed it would recognize the phone. I bought a new card and transferred all the info over to it, however I can't get the music to play with the Poweramp app. Everything is showing up including album art and playlists but when you hit play a message that says "Failed to play / Storage unmounted" appears. However the card was mounted properly and acces was granted to the folders. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
  8. I haven't tried swapping the SD card back yet but I will definitely give it a shot today. I noticed something strange though as I was trying to familiarize myself with the new phone. I wasn't sure if the Samsung Music app still existed so upon finding it, I saw some (6) of the additional playlists I mentioned of my 13 were still there but showed as 0 tracks in each. I tried importing it from the settings then running a scan with Poweramp but it still didn't find anything.
  9. They aren't showing at all within the new library. Yep, so its zero playlists. I tried the Resolve/Rescan keeps resulting in the "Doesn't look like anything to me" message. I looked on my old S9 and located 4 of my 13 playlists in the internal storage. Which is actually kind of odd because I don't recall ever playing with the settings. Anyway I tried to transfer vis quick share in the corded version and it keeps saying "failed". I tried everything, restarted both phones cleared the cache and everything.
  10. Sorry I guess that was a little confusing. This time I am trying to transfer over playlists that were created locally on Poweramp as well as ones that I had previously transferred over from Samsung music. You had helped me with those originally. I ran the Smartswitch and transferred the SD card. Before posting I ran the scans and they were showing 0 results again. I'm going to try and find where they are located now.
  11. Unfortunately I have found myself in the same predicament once again. I am in the process of switching from an S9 to a S20+ and have encountered the exact same problem. I followed all the steps closely but it is saying 0 playlists available. I tried to find build 867 but no longer see it. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!
  12. Thank you very much for your help! I may do just as you said and strongly consider the Galaxy A70. Despite having a set of wireless headphones, I like the option of being able to use my wired sets as well especially at places like the gym etc. where I could see myself easily losing the bluetooth ones. Not to mention the SD card slot.
  13. Hi guys, I currently have a Galaxy S9 and have had it for a little over 3 years. I've been using Poweramp since the default samsung music app had started going downhill shortly after I bought the phone. I know that the new phones no longer have the SD card ports which is where my whole library is stored (about 70gig). I contacted Samsung to ask the best method of transferring info and they claim that the Smartswitch app is capable of this. Does anyone have any experience in doing this successfully? Considering the time invested in building this, I would like to be able to transfer my library, playlists and album art files. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  14. Thank you for the response. I tried doing it step by step exactly as you mentioned but unfortunately still haven't had any luck. It scans but still comes up with imported playlists:0 after a brief moment. Perhaps I will have to do a full rescan as you had also mentioned. I am currently still in the trial stage of the app, so not sure if that makes a difference by having limitations or not? I'm guessing no, but thought I would at least mention it. As far as PA and the option to search for covers/album art goes, that is a major advantage as far as I'm concerned. A great convienient feature to say the least. Prior to the Android !0 update I had a album cover app that I used in conjuction with Samsung music/Google play music that was great but it still required extra steps where PA lets you get it on the fly while playing a track you can basically ad the art in mere seconds. Awesome feature
  15. I've recently been transitioning over from Poweramp after using the Samsung music player along with Googleplay music. I found this app after doing a little research and following all my downloaded album art dissapearing from Samsung music after an update. Though not very sufficient on the technical side of things, I am definitely a big audio enthusiast and after having alot of time invested in downloading album art making playlists etc. it was rather annoying to find these things randomly dissapearing. I found it might be time to search for a new app. Plus after loving the Samsung Music app initially it seems to have gotten worse. Is there any way to import these playlists into power amp? I tried the method of going into my documents/checking the playlist file then doing a search with the app to no luck. I didn't know if I was perhaps doing it wrong or it was simply just not possible. I know googleplay app basically syncs and mirrors the samsung music app. Any advice is much appreciated, thanks
