Thanks! I'll try your suggestions & report back. This has occurred both when my output is Bluetooth and with wired headphones. Not sure if it has happened through the phone speaker.

Hello, I have a Samsung s9 and using Poweramp build 945. It's been happening a lot, where I start playback of music using the widget on my homescreen. Music begins playing (I can see the time elapse) but the audio is silent. Clicking the widget to open the app doesn't help. I can still see time elapsing (playback continuing of the song), but still silence. I have to close the app completely, then open it up and begin playing the song in order to hear the audio. Sometime it even takes two or more tries.
