  1. Late to the game and didn't read every comment, but has someone suggested a "GoFundMe" page or somesuch. Users would pre-pay for the development. I have great sympathy for the developer. I bought the app years ago and it is a different beast today. Alternatively, (similar to what others have said), leave this version in the store at the current price and start a Poweramp: New and Improved for a larger price. Discontinue support for this app, it will still take 3+ years for it to be non functional. (At least a not-tech thinks).
  2. Following my own advice: Open playlist and click the shuffle button on the top left, next to the play button. Only one option is available, "Shuffle songs and categories" (There isn't a clear off/on of the shuffle- the icon is white arrows on black background regardless). Hit the top play button and the first song starts playing. Tap the song and the shuffle icon on it confirms, "Songs and category". Press and hold the repeat button and choose, "Repeat category". Now ***If I manually flip*** I can force it to choose a random next playlist. If I let the last song finish, it will continue in the same playlist.
  3. @Valas Valas- I have great sympathy for you. Several times I've sworn there's a bug in the app, only to find it was between my ears. One suggestion for trouble shooting this. Make a short, but long enough playlist. Hit the play button on top, then the shuffle button on top, ignore what flashes on the screen. Go to the first song and press and hold until you see the repeat options. Choose "repeat category". Now, touching the song icon on the screen, rapidly flip the songs to the left. You can rattle through the playlist that way and see if you have acontinued issue. You can use screen video capture to show what is happening if needed. @andrewilley If I do these settings, does Poweramp remember and do it for every playlist or do I need to do it each time I do a playlist?
  4. Thanks, but I did check that a while back.
  5. Andre, thanks for checking, I looked and it's default. Sprille I tried that and I thought it worked but then just back to cutting off. Mpmax I tried the app but it was just to ensure that the battery settings were not cutting the app off. It showed that it was running at 100%. With some other checking I realized that none of the other music apps on my phone have the same problem: Pocket cast, Spotify, Samsung music player, VLC player, all of them work. I don't know if it's relevant to note that Poweramp shuts off when I unlock the phone also.
  6. Thanks. I would have never downloaded this w/out someone telling me it's safe.
  7. Thanks. No BT commands while the issue is happening. I appreciate the help. MJT
  8. Oops, not that. With battery savings on the Samsung note 22 set to unrestricted, it did it again. I did find a setting to allow changing system setting but another three days before I know.
  9. Thanks, That seems likely. In Samsung battery settings, it was set to optimize, so I changed it to unregulated. Still took a reboot to get it to work, but I'll bet it'll continue to work. MJT
  10. Reboot phone 1. Start Poweramp and play music 2. Press powerbutton to lock screen- it works fine 3. Press powerbutton to unlock screen- it works fine Wait three days or so 1. Start Poweramp and play music 2. Press powerbutton to close screen- Poweramp stops playing (I can pull down the notification shade and hit the Poweramp play button without unlocking the phone, or, if a bluetooth is connected, use that to restart) 3. press powerbutton to unlock phone, on unlocking the phone, Poweramp stops Reboot phone- it all works as expected. Thanks,
  11. Thanks and no dings since. I'll have to notify DDG
  12. Duck Duck Go claims Poweramp reached out to Facebook. This is the first time after having had their tracker blocker for months. Any idea of what's up? Build 939
