  1. Check this setting; Settings>Headset/Bluetooth>Beep If you are using the volume from the headphones this causes a short beep, but it may be muted.
  2. I have the same features enable/disabled. The only change from older versions of Android is that the notification sounds now happen, just without PA ducking. So I agree that this is a change to the Android OS, and so far I have had no luck finding any OS feature that changes this behavior. So unless there is some way that PA can intercept the notification and block the sound, I guess there is no other solution. Definitely not a PA problem, but if there is a way around it, that would be great!
  3. I use the header shuffle button often in lists, including playlists. It works as expected, but as @andrewilley has suggested, you need to check this option Settings > Library > Lists > No Reshuffle.
  4. This sounds similar to my suggestion. Is it possible in your skin to have a fine tune option to replace the simple seekbar with a volume bar, in the same place below the waveseekbar? Again I assume this would only work if both bars are active... G
  5. Android 10, running stock on LG G8thinQ. I don't mind the notification sounds when music isn't playing or if PA is not running even. But when playing music I'd prefer to not hear the notifications. BTW - this happens through the headphone and USB outputs. So even when listening at home on my USB-DAC the notifications are noticeable. I don't use the built-in speaker too often, so I haven't noticed it there.
  6. Just that the repeat function already selected should stay that way. I see no reason why using the play or shuffle header button should change your repeat preference.
  7. I've done this, and the focus does not change now. However the notification sound from the system still happens as well, mixed into the music that is playing. Is there a way to disable the system sounds while PA is playing?
  8. @andrewilley respectfully this is fine for how PA works in your case, especially since you currently don't use those buttons. But @hrolf1713 has a very good point. These header buttons should correspond to the current active list. I believe the play button does already. But the shuffle button doesn't always work as expected. It's function should change depending on if the active list is genre, album, artist/albumartist, composer, etc. and acting only that list. The repeat function shouldn't change from the current selection whether it be the play or shuffle header button that is pressed. My 2¢ at least.
  9. I was refering to having the volume slider hide itself after a few seconds. Not sure what would draw it out to unhide it, but just an idea.
  10. @flyingdutchman the updates are working flawlessy in V78, including the new volume bar options. And all layout elements on my side are perfectly aligned. I do have a suggestion as a new option. Can the Simple Seekbar function be replaced by the volume bar, keeping it below the waveseekbar? This would move it off of the album artwork. At least if or until @maxmp adds a way for the volume slider to auto-hide somehow.😋
  11. I am using PA on an LG G8thinQ as well. The Quad DAC only works with the headphone output, not with USB output (device dependent) or the built-in speaker (only native 16bit/48kHz). If using headphones, the device will play up to 24bit/192kHz with the HiFi DAC enabled (choose this option in settings>Audio>Output>Hi-Res Output>Wired Headset/Aux. The other benefit the to the Quad DAC is the impedance matching. It will drive High impedance headphones (50-600Ω) with more current, and aux devices with more voltage. This is automatic and can't be changed.
  12. I use the $Yap$ skin from @flyingdutchman myself mostly. It has been updated regularly as @maxmp has added features to PA. To his point above, I use the album blur, with the background intensity set to a 25%. This keeps it relatively dark but still portrays colour tones from the playing track artwork. I have the text and button colours set to match my dash lighting in the car, and they also work well stand-alone. I have also used the @Mixified and @Ducktamine skins previously, but the flexibility of $Yap$ makes it my personal preference. G
  13. I do like the idea of the volume bar located below the artwork. Maybe this can be swapped with the functions of the simple seekbar as a switch? As long as the waveseekbar still functions, this could offer an alternative with the volume bar not sitting over the artwork.
  14. Could there be an option to have PA change back to the main now playing screen after pressing the header Play or shuffle buttons? Similar to the action when selecting a track in the list is what I am suggesting. G
  15. I have to say that I have spent uncountable hours/years managing my music file tag information and cover art. This was done on my main PC where my library is stored and backed up separately. I copy this to a uSD card for use with PA on my phone. I have no desire to have PA edit or manage this content specifically for the reasons @maxmp mentions. If this is changed, please make sure it is optional and defeatable. G
  16. Album art is the default, you must have turned on the optional visualizer. This can be done directly from the main screen, the far left button. Or from the menu as described above.
  17. Got the update today, gotta say it is just about perfect in every way for how I want my display to look. Thanks very much for this @flyingdutchman! Small detail, the font scale for the list at 0.8 is the same size as 0.7, going to 0.9 is a huge jump in size. I don't have my set there anyhow, but calling it out for correction some time.
  18. @maxmp is there a way to put an option to ignore the duck request, with no pause and no notification sound when PA is playing? I think this is the option that several people are looking for, including myself. I would still like to see the notification pop-up, and the sound would be acceptable, but only if PA is not currently playing. Basically a "No Duck + No Pause + Suppress System Sound" option.
  19. Wow, can't believe the difference in the cover art resolution. On my LG G8 with an OLED display they are crisp and detailed. I hadn't really noticed enough before, but this is a very obvious visible difference. Thanks @maxmp!
  20. Any chance this is related to using the divided waveseek bar? I have noticed the same issue @andrewilley is describing with about 50% as the minimum the bar shows. But thought it was just part of the skin. The default ones show more dynamically in my case as well, but they are not split.
  21. Nice, will be good for tablets, and use when in the car. Small bug - when setting the library font scale to 0.8 it crashes PA. All other sizes are OK. Also, there is no metadata line showing, is this by design? Edit - just noticed the library font scale size of 0.8 doesn't work properly in the paid Yaps either, but it doesn't crash PA. It display the same as 0.7. All other sizes seem to be working in Yaps.
  22. Yes, with track, disc, and year now spread out nicely on one line and genre now getting a separate line, all are now much easier to view. Thanks @maxmp!
  23. You can try the EQ preset "Middle" to start, then tweak it to your preference from there.
