  1. After updating to PA 948 my car starts with the correct song info displayed but then after a couple of tracks it will miss a song change and display 1 song behind what is actually playing. Connection to car is just bluetooth, not Android Auto. This is from a M3U playlist of 79 tracks loaded and playing from the Queue. This worked correctly in PA 945.
  2. I see it's still a manual effort to set whether to use Album or Track Replaygain.
  3. Or you could just buy the whole album on CD and while you're at it I'd grab "A New World Record". Great ELO albums!
  4. @andrewilley Thanks for the additional info on playlists and file/folder name specs. So the original with drive letter and all would also work because of the "\Out of the Blue\Mr Blue Sky.mp3" portion? C:\Users\<me>\Music\Studio Albums\Electric Light Orchestra\Out of the Blue\Mr Blue Sky.mp3 A better choice for your example would have been "16 Wild West Hero.mp3" 😁
  5. For your playlists to work you probably will need to have the same folder/file structure on your phone as you have on your PC. I have the same structure on my as my PC and use "relative" position playlists. Here's an example; C:\Users\<me>\Music\Artist\Album\Tracks In the Music folder I have playlists like Artist\Album\tracks " " " On my phone I have an SD card with the format of <SD card>/Music/Artist/Tracks (The music folder is exactly the same on my phone as on the PC) My playlists move without changefrom the Music folder on the PC to the music folder on my phone and they work just fine.
  6. Now the big question is will this make the "Frequently Suggested Feature" list? Along with you and me there were two others in my linked post that want this feature or isn't a total of 4 enough?
  7. This short book was required reading for management at my company back in the 90's. 😁
  8. I think "Smart Replay Gain" should be a feature so that we don't have to manually go into settings and change which type gain tag is being used. This thread talks about "Smart Gain". Basically "Smart gain" would automatically use Album gain tags when albums are being played and if a playlist / track shuffle is detected then track gain tags would be used.
  9. For music I've bought from Amazon Music it places it in the folder I specified in Amazon Music for downloads which I set as "Music\Amazon Music Downloads", works perfectly every time. If you happen to click the download button for music that is free to listen, but you have not purchased, it creates some unheavenly encrypted directory structure that will allow you to "play the music offline" in Amazon Music (to me this seems fair). But for the music you've bought it downloads as a folder of the artist and a folder under that for the album and then the track(s) and cover art in the album folder. You are then free to copy/move that anywhere just like any other files.
  10. In my case I had left the category of All Songs positioned to the Last song in the All Songs category, song number 24826 of 24826. This was the last category before I played an album in the Queue. The Queue is set to Stay in Queue on end. I then cleared the Queue and let the screen time out. When I woke the phone up and went to All Songs neither at the Top as you said nor where I left it at the last song in the All Songs category but like song number 4307 of 24826. And I do not have shuffle or random, just straight through top to bottom.
  11. In the "All Songs" it was positioned to the last song. I was playing music from the Queue with setting to Stay in queue on end. I cleared the Queue and then let the screen timeout. When I next woke up the phone "All Songs" was no longer positioned at the end where I left it but was positioned at some other song in the "All Songs" category. Is this normal or is it a bug? I would expect that it should have remained where I last left it?
  12. On Windows Amazon Music downloads to my PC just fine for purchased music and files are not encrypted. Also, amazon music on the PC allows you to specify where you want your music downloads to be saved. The only time I've seen the folders like @Rebart69 mentions (01, 10, 11, a1, etc) is if you attempt to download something you are allowed to play in Amazon Music but have not purchased.
  13. Been a while but I've come across a new band to me. "The Bros. Landreth" from Canada. To me their debut album "Let It Lie" (2015) is truly 5 stars.
  14. I know there's been a similar requests asking for BPM support for those of use that have BPM in our tags. Would be nice to be able to filter Genre(s) with BPM. This would also be good for walking/running pace.
  15. I agree with @MotleyG. I do all tagging on my PC since that's where my master music library lives. Using MP3Tag with this setting preserves the date of the files so they don't show up as recently added. I guess it would be nice to have an option in PA to also preserve dates when editing tags from within PA.
  16. You need to read this thread already on these boards...
  17. If it would be any help I've attached a copy of my PA settings export file. May-18--2022-07-18-51.poweramp-settings
  18. So it must be something unique to the Moto X4 / Android 9. Since the old Moto X4 phone is outside of Google android updates I guess it's something I'm just stuck with. Everything else in PA works just fine.
  19. Here's a screen shot of what's in the box before I scroll down and up. It is different from what's in my 1st screen shot in the prior post. If I scroll down and up what's in the red box changes to what's in the red box in my prior post. At least on my Moto x4 Android 9.
  20. Here's a screen shot. I think the actual bug is what I've put a box around isn't really whayt should be here. This appears after I scroll down and back up on the look and feel screen.
  21. Android 9 Moto X4 PA 939 - In Settings -> Look and Feel -> Settings Theme I set it to Portrait (Vertical). This always reverts to Landscape, even if you just scroll the screen down and back up. How to make this stick?
  22. Have you looked at the open-source Logitech Media Server? I use it for my fixed platform at home (Poweramp is my to go player on my phone). It has a server piece that runs on either Windows or Mac or Linux or a Raspberry Pi. Any of these could use the files directly from your NAS (Some NAS boxes can also install this server). You will then need a receiver to connect to your stereo - a community project has designed a dedicated Pi receiver called PiCorPlayer that is comprised of about any flavor of Pi board with a Hifiberry DAC hat. You can have multiple players run from the server that can either play individually simultaneously or be synced. Your music is delivered bit perfect with full support for HiRes over your local LAN (either wifi and/or ethernet) from the server to the receiver(s) and then feeds the stereo. There's a few different control interfaces but the one called Material skin is very similar to Poweramp. For the audio file support it does it all - FLAC, OGG, MP3, ALAC, even WAV and CUE files are fully supported. Again, for my phone Poweramp is the goto player. But I sure would like it to have a Queue only mode.
  23. Yes, BPM would be great to support. I too have BPM populated in all my music. It would be great if this could be added as an additional filter for playing shuffled genre(s) for exactly the reason @6b6561 says.
  24. I'm protesting Spotify... Neil Young and Joni Mitchell have removed their music from Spotify because Spotify is allowing Joe Rogan to spread misinformation about Covid.
  25. I would not eliminate any of the current modes as I know there's several users thatgo that way. I'm just looking for a Queue only mode. In this mode the looking through the library would be the same. When something was selected that would be put into the Queue and when that item(s) was finished playback would stop just like it does now with the setting of "stay in Queue" on end. When someting was selected it would be added to the Queue. If the Queue was empty it would just be added, if there was something already in the Queue you would be prompted for "Play next" or "add to end".
