  1. After installing 972 beta on my Moto g Stylus 5G (2022) fully updated. I now get "hitches" in music playback from the Queue. Bluetooth to car head unit, not using android auto. EDIT: MP3 VBR ripped with DBPoweramp -V 0 -q 0 replaygain both album and track, using Track replaygain for playback in PA.
  2. Sounds like the CUE file is off as to the beginning and end of tracks within the album file. I would guess if each track were an individual .m4a this wouldn't happen.
  3. I used to have this problem when I was using Nero way back in the day and encoding to VBR MP3's. I reported this to Nero and they just ignored the report so I went looking for alternatives. I now use DBPoweramp which correctly puts the track time in the tags. You can fix the track time using the VBRFix program.
  4. Now what we need is "Smart ReplayGain" so that we don't have to manually go into settings and change to Album gain if playing multiple albums and then manually go into settings and change to Track gain if playing a playlist of tracks from different albums.
  5. I would guess the "Medley" on side 2 of the Abbey Road album starting with "You Never Give Me Your Money" (some consider "Because" as the start) and ends with "The End" (or "Her Majesty") would be like your CONTENTGROUP. For that I just create a M3U playlist and name it accordingly.
  6. And as you know, I'm a fan of what a great feature the "Queue Only" mode would be!
  7. Thanks, didn't know about swipe, almost makes that bubble "redundant", swipe is always there but "Library bubble" only when at top of a list.
  8. Can the "back to Library" bubble pointed to in this screen shot be made static for all scrollable lists? With large libraries it would be great to be able to just click the "Library" bubble regardless of where you are in the list.
  9. SOLVED: Settings -> Headset/Bluetooth -> Resume On Bluetooth - Shut that off and all works great. If head unit is on playback resumes as it should when car is started. If head unit is turned off PA does not resume playback until the head unit is turned on.
  10. Android 9 - PA 957 - Moto 5G Stylus 2022 Don't know why this is happening in my car. If I turn off the head unit in my car the music stops like it's supposed to. If I then turn the head unit back on playback resumes where it left off like it's supposed to. This is all as expected. With the head unit shut off if I then shut off the car and then turn it back on the head unit is off as it should be, but PA on my phone starts playing and thinks it's sending music to the head unit. I saved the recent commands and hope that you can see if this is PA incorrectly thinking the head unit is turned on when I start the car or something else. The commands file is attached and should have a couple of instances of my described behavior. PACommandLog.txt
  11. What a great option to have a Queue only mode. This would be a major enhancement to an already great product.
  12. Sorry this reply is a little late... Are you saying you'd like the "Album" to show in "Recently added" or are you saying the songs in the "Album" don't show in "Recently added? If the former the "Recently added" will not show recently added "Albums". If you set up your folder structure so that each album is in its own folder and you create the folder with the Album name when you add the album you can get a list of your recently added albums by setting the "Folders" list option to list "By date added/modified" and check the "Reverse" check box. This way the "Folders" option will list your albums from newest to oldest.
  13. Just finished a drive with "Graham Parker - Howlin' Wind" and "Deep Purple - The Very Best Of" from the Queue which is the way I always use Poweramp and it never missed a song change on the head unit. Looks like it's working as it should. On another note, not a single "hitch" in music playback either.
  14. Sorry I've been tied up. I'll be trying this out later today and will let you know. I still have all the Android Auto stuff shut off so I don't know if that will impact it. I don't use AA, just bluetooth connected to my car.
  15. Just trying to make sure report is complete.
  16. Moto g Stylus 5G (2022) - Android 12 - Current PA=956 In versions since 945 I've had issues with Poweramp. The first one I reported at version 948 is that my car head unit would fall behind on the song/artist/album display. This is bluetooth, not android auto. It may be corrected since I shut off all the settings in the Android auto section. I'm now getting occasional "hitches" in music playback in my car like a very shortcut in playback. All playback is using the Queue since I don't really like the category playback method with the 1,700+ albums on my phone. I like to explicitly load the Queue with specifically selected music. I don't have any lyrics stuff so I'm wondering if all the work with adding support for lyrics is causing the "hitches"? Is there a way to disable lyric related processing?
  17. @maxmp just tonight on 955 I was in the car and PA missed a track change on the head unit display. I was in a small neighborhood so I pulled over and got out my phone and checked the android notifications and PA showed the correct track playing (Moto 5G Stylus (2022) stock ROM). This never happened on 945, but it did on 948 and forever since.
  18. By "notification" do you mean in the PA screen or do you mean android notification? The rest of the question, yes, this time the songs were from the same album and the "now playing" song has a different title than the previous song that is being displayed. When I originally posted the other thread about 948 (linked above) it was from a .M3U playlist in the Queue with all different songs from different albums. And in both the 948 and 954 versions it would out of the blue on a song change it will sometimes catch up and correctly display the "now playing" song. Then after another few songs it would again miss a track change and fall behind on the display. One thing I did try on 954 was to shut off the head unit and turn it back on while it was showing the previous song to what was playing and it then displayed the correct track.
  19. Yesterday I took PA 954 for a drive in my car. I find that 954 still misses song change on occasion and will fall behind displaying the previous songs info on my head unit as I reported in this thread. Just using bluetooth, not android carplay. Running stock android 12 on a Moto Stylus 5G (2022) and playing from the Queue. PA 945 seems to never miss a song change and always displays the correct song info for the currently playing song.
  20. However it won't Enqueue an album with "Enqueue and Stay in List" on the click of an album. @maxmp "List item Click Action" should apply to all lists, not just lists of songs.
  21. Really excited to see this new mode implemented. Sounds like a "Queue only mode" that would be in addition to the current default "Category mode".
  22. I realize this is an old thread. If @standal was telling the truth about their Google Play dilemma I was just offering up a possible solution for them to get their Google Play license honored and could possibly provide a means for other users that bought a Google Play PA license but ended up on a android based device like the Fire HD tablets that don't come with Google Play installed.
  23. Can you install the Play store on your new phone? I have Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablets that didn't come with the Play store. Google and Amazon are not friends! Here's a link for how to install the Google Play Store on a Kindle. It might work on your new phone and then you can use PA with your google account. Install the Google Play Store on your Amazon Fire Tablet (Updated Jan 2023) (androidpolice.com)
  24. Since my main use of Poweramp is in my car via bluetooth and from the Queue I've backed off to PA 945 so my track now playing displayed on my head unit now matches the track that's actually playing. Hopefully this will be fixed in the next release beyond PA 948.
