  1. Listening to the "Medley" from "The Beatles - Abbey Road"; 08 Because 09 You Never Give Me Your Money 10 Sun King 11 Mean Mr Mustard 12 Polythene Pam 13 She Came In Through The Bathroom Window 14 Golden Slumbers 15 Carry That Weight 16 The End
  2. Just run a android emulator and install Poweramp in the emulator.
  3. Just can't go wrong with any of Mark's music all the way from "Dire Straits - Dire Straits" up through "Down the Road Wherever". But this one is extremely good and when the guests pop in on a couple of the songs there's no question as to who they are.
  4. Funny thing... Our grandson, who's 10, wanted an MP3 player for Christmas. We had one that doesn't get used because we now have all our music on our phones for when we're away from home. Since we had the original box and all the stuff for the MP3 player we wrapped it up for him for Christmas. I bought a 256GB MicroSD card and put all our music on it and I asked him what his favorite songs were. He said "Monster - Skillet" and "Blue - Eifel 65". I'll admit I'd not heard of either band. Well, being an album type person I bought both the Skillet - Awake and Eifel 65 - Europop albums that have his favorite songs and put them on his player too. Yesterday I put both these albums on while we were running some errands. I might listen to Eifel 65 again sometime, but "Skillet - Awake" is a right fine album that I've spun up a few times now. I'd give it a full 4 of 5 stars! Oh, the grandson is tickled with his "new" MP3 player!
  5. Jumped back to 1975 Pop/Rock, Fleetwood Mac / Fleetwood Mac - a solid 5 star album.
  6. Being December I've loaded my Queue to Genre = Christmas and shuffled. 'Tis the Season.
  7. Moto X4 Android 9 PA v853 All my music is on a MicroSD card in my phone. I see this sometimes on individual folders on my SD card. Sometimes when I copy an album (folder) from my PC to the phone using a USB cable and then do a scan the new album is not added. If I then go to file manager on the phone and click a song in the new album (folder) it plays in Poweramp, but the track counter shows --/--. Sometimes if I do a restart on the phone then do a scan the new album (folder) is found and added. On one occasion I ended up shutting down the phone removing the SD card and reinstalling the card fixed it.
  8. I put this in the Pop/Rock genre with a slight bit of a hip-hop feel at times, but it's a great album.
  9. Was scrolling through my albums and hit on this oldie. What a great listen! It generated a lot of controversy in the Christian and Jewish worlds when it was released as I recall, I was 19 at the time. It was initially banned by the BBC as being sacrilegious and was also banned in Russia in 2012 for some time, but I think Putin has since reversed that banning. My personal opinion is that this does a fairly good job of representing the last few days of Jesus' life. Much of it centers around Judas Iscariot and his betrayal of Jesus depicting him much less villainous than the Bible does.
  10. This gal has a fantastic voice and all the music on this album is of her own making. I'd call it Pop/Rock - Indie with a burlesque kind of sound and some pretty sassy lyrics. To get the album out it was funded by her fans through KickStarter. It's at least 4.5 stars!
  11. The Mamas & the Papas - California Dreamin'. Kind of a folk rock greatest hits album
  12. Switching back to a little more Blues... Robert Cray - Strong Persuader (1986)
  13. You can place the album art in the album folder as a stand alone file, something like "Folder.jpg" and it will show up for all songs in the album. This also reduces storage space required on your device as there's only a single album art per album. And yes, MP3Tag on a PC can add album to all tracks in an album as a single operation.
  14. A great album from 2010 - The Union / Elton John & Leon Russell
  15. An album from 1973 that I got from my brother when he was in the army in Germany. A great rock band that apparently didn't have much circulation beyond Germany.
  16. I don't think Poweramp will do what you want. I've not seen a Android music player that has that much smarts. The closest thing I've seen to this is a music server app called Logitech Media Server (LMS). It has versions that run on MacOS, Windows and Linux, but not Android or iOS.
  17. Toad the Wet Sprocket / Fear. A great Pop/Rock album from 1991. As an aside, listening in the car with my 6 year old granddaughter when she said "that song has bad words Papa" so I had to skip the track. Still a great album.
  18. Went a little lighter. this album has a nice light feel, kinda folksie. The Weepies / Happiness.
  19. Going for some Bluegrass from 1977. All acoustic mandolin, fiddle, guitar and stand up bass.
  20. A little yard work to some of the great bands of the 60's.
  21. Some great Blues by a 14 year old kid back in 2013. Mentored by and plays with Buddy Guy frequently.
  22. It is in the Pop/Rock genre. The music is wonderful and has a driving quality that is very fitting to the messages. Criticizes the US government on countries that are called "friends" like governments that commit genocide in their countries and the US government looks the other way.
  23. A fantastic album from 1986, Jackson Browne / Lives in the Balance. The issues this album talks about are very much still relevant regarding the world political state and the plight of the poor around the world.
  24. As far as I know you cannot access the Queue with voice commands, but you can "Hey Google, play album Harvest"... It always says something like "asking Poweramp to play Harvest" and most of the time get "something went wrong...", but occasionally it will work. Doesn't add it to the Queue, but when it works the album will play.
