I gotta say... The sound is amazing.
Filip777 replied to eddie_the_man's topic in General Poweramp Chatter
I agree, Poweramp was always the best sounding music app in my experirnce, now with Hi-Res output it's even better. What do you guys use under "Dither" setting in Audio tab ? By default it's set to "None (fastest)" -
Maybe it doesn't work because you're on Lineage ROM. Hi-Res output works fine for me on latest Oreo ROM (LeeDroid). Only one problem though (not sure if it's my settings). When some notification appears along with its default sound, music stops playing on my earphones and starts playing through the speaker for 2 seconds, and then reverts back to earphones.

I must say Hi-Res experimental output works nicely this time on my HTC 10 (stock Android 8.0). No problems, no crashes, the audio latency is much smaller than before on the old alpha 704, DVC works with the output. Also I much prefer the new UI from the beta preview. After using this build 705, I can recognize how much nicer the new UI is for me.

Poll: Prioritising Features for next Beta Release
Filip777 replied to andrewilley's topic in General Poweramp Chatter
I voted for Dark Theme (black). I can see in this last beta 790 that Max put great effort into the UI and it looks and feels great IMO. So I say prioritise this. But Library / Folder category functions are also really necessary -
I can imagine it is crazy hard to develop considering Google always changes their shit. Hi-Res output (experimental) worked on HTC 10 while on Android 7.0 (Nougat), though it had big audio delay/latency and it was crashing occasionally. So I assume this phone should genuinely support OpenSL HD output, right?

As I said, no clipping whatsoever, but I need to test more. So DVC, float32, SOX resampler are all enabled for me (equalizer off). Also I must say I really like the design of the app, great work Max, animations are smooth af. Only I'd like that the song progress bar in the Player section was more "detailed", just like in the SoundCloud app

It's working great on my HTC 10 (Oreo 8.0 android), there's no audio delay (massive latency) like before when using Hi-Res (OpenSL ES HD output), also no clipping when pausing/resuming a song or elsewhere (Float32 Sample Format enabled). No crashes so far. - I assume that Hi-Res is working (not just showing that it works) on the HTC 10 judging by the screenshot below, since it has a dedicated audio DAC, but hell what do I know. To get this "Audio info" below, you need to hold down that little info bubble above the Poweramp navigation bar in the Player section. Usin
