  1. I agree, Poweramp was always the best sounding music app in my experirnce, now with Hi-Res output it's even better. What do you guys use under "Dither" setting in Audio tab ? By default it's set to "None (fastest)"
  2. Maybe it doesn't work because you're on Lineage ROM. Hi-Res output works fine for me on latest Oreo ROM (LeeDroid). Only one problem though (not sure if it's my settings). When some notification appears along with its default sound, music stops playing on my earphones and starts playing through the speaker for 2 seconds, and then reverts back to earphones.
  3. Then I assume that the upload is in the last phase. An update once in 3 days or so on the state of the development would be nice. Nobody likes to stay in the dark. Lack of information is what makes people on this forum go crazy.
  4. If someone has a rooted HTC 10 (Android 8.0), can you please check if OpenSL ES HD does output Hi-Res 24/192 audio via wired headphones ? It can be checked through matlog app afaik. I'm curious
  5. I voted for Dark Theme (black). I can see in this last beta 790 that Max put great effort into the UI and it looks and feels great IMO. So I say prioritise this. But Library / Folder category functions are also really necessary
  6. I can imagine it is crazy hard to develop considering Google always changes their shit. Hi-Res output (experimental) worked on HTC 10 while on Android 7.0 (Nougat), though it had big audio delay/latency and it was crashing occasionally. So I assume this phone should genuinely support OpenSL HD output, right?
  7. @maxmp Will the Hi-res output (direct hardware experimental) make its way to Android 8.0 or is the OpenSL HD Output replacement for that (I assume these 2 outputs are very similar?) ?
  8. Because you are on Android Oreo just like me, and there's no Hi-Res (Exp) Output "• updated Hi-Res (Exp) Output for Android 7.0 (but it doesn't work for Android 8)" You need to use OpenSL ES HD output. And then Hi-Res will work (if it's supported by your phone that is).
  9. As I said, no clipping whatsoever, but I need to test more. So DVC, float32, SOX resampler are all enabled for me (equalizer off). Also I must say I really like the design of the app, great work Max, animations are smooth af. Only I'd like that the song progress bar in the Player section was more "detailed", just like in the SoundCloud app
  10. It's working great on my HTC 10 (Oreo 8.0 android), there's no audio delay (massive latency) like before when using Hi-Res (OpenSL ES HD output), also no clipping when pausing/resuming a song or elsewhere (Float32 Sample Format enabled). No crashes so far. - I assume that Hi-Res is working (not just showing that it works) on the HTC 10 judging by the screenshot below, since it has a dedicated audio DAC, but hell what do I know. To get this "Audio info" below, you need to hold down that little info bubble above the Poweramp navigation bar in the Player section. Using wired headset (headphones), also HTC BoomSound with Dolby audio works with Hi-Res output for the first time.
  11. 1. HTC 10 2. Android 7.0 Nougat 3. Before the Nougat update, Hi-Res output somewhat worked, after updating it disappeared.
  12. HTC 10 everything stock http://imgur.com/a/3HrAz Hi-Res output somewhat works, but occasionally crashes when changing songs or when I pause the song and play it back immediately. Also there is big output latency (1687ms) when using wired headphones! The seconds in the "now playing" bar are unsynchronized and they skip. Sometimes when I start a song, it doesn't start from the beginning (0:00), it starts from 0:03 or similar. There's a bug in audio management: for Android, audio is recognised as casted from an external device, and not directly from smartphone. I hope the next Poweramp build will fully support Hi-Res output on HTC 10, currently one of the best phones when it comes to audio.
