  1. Hello forum.

    1) On my Pixel 5 there is weird bug with trying to make the UI elements bigger when using a bigger Display size in settings. The library correctly adjusts its fonts, buttons and UI size, but the Player UI makes everything smaller. Attaching image 1 and 2 (the status bar is visibly bigger to the Player UI elements to the other screenshot)

    2) The player UI generally feels that there is a lot of empty space, especially on today's long screens. There were some talks that there is a feature coming, in which you could edit the layout of the currently playing track info. Is that coming, perhaps beong worked on?

    3) On Android 13, YouTube Music uses the new media notification layout with a big Play button. Is there a way to have Poweramp using this layout too?

    Thank you.

  2. Will try to send a log, though I was having much bigger audio drops, especially on Bluetooth audio, when I switched from Auto notification to Legacy or Media with custom cover. To be fair, when not on Auto, the album art never disappeared from my knowing, but the audio drops made it unusable. I think it has to do with how Android 12+ handles background processes much more agressively and the other notification methods make the audio skip as the system is trying to kill it. It also doesn't appear in the Quick Settings and on the lock screen as a audio, but instead is treated as a normal notification, which I don't want. I also like the Android 13's media controls much more.

  3. What's up forum.

I have a problem with album art not visible in my notification area. It doesn't happen all the time playing songs, about half of the time, but until now I haven't observed any pattern. It mostly shows up again after album change. Have a Google Pixel 5 with Android 12L. All my album art is stored in the album's folder as "Folder.jpg". I never use automated art download or store it differently.

I tried deleting cache, changing all kinds of settings, but nothing did the trick. Attaching some photos.

Also the sound sometimes goes silent for about 3 seconds and then resumes. Happens ever hour or two. All of that independently of whether it is played on the phone's speaker, USB-C to jack adapter or BT device. Also prolonging the buffer doesn't help. This has been happenning for a few months now. Don't you know what's up with that?

  4. Thank you for reply.

My main point wasn't to introduce this separation because of tracks with featured artist. The point was just basically to make the player UI look cleaner as now it looks kinda crowded and even without featured artist, long artist / album name makes the line scroll and always move. It just looks kinda quirky from a design perspective.

Of course it would be ideal to have a custom configuration for everyone to play with (a year tag next to an album tag is something I'd probably set), but it just seems to much work for Max to do as most people wouldn't use it. But the simple introduction of a switch for a third line for the default skin seems evident for me.

    TITLE

    ARTIST

    ALBUM

Basically every phone from last few years has a tall screen and the seekbar is just sooo huge on some screen. That also looks kinda nasty. I think a third line would make the screen look more balanced. As there is already an option for this metadata to move in and out of the albumart, this extra option would be complementary.

  5. Hello forum!

I'd kindly ask for a seperate album line on the player screen, perhaps even on the bottom of now playing screen when browsing a library and so on.

    - The current design in one line (artist - album) suggests that the featured artist is also the author of the album which they obviously are not.

    - The 3 line design seems to me like a standard

    - As phone screens are getting taller, this shouldn't be a problem to fit. Maybe with an option to switch it in the skin settings.

    Thank you for considering.
