  1. Being able to display album name in Android Auto seems to be one of the most requested enhancements for said environment.

I know there's nothing Max can do to get the Android devs to make this an option, but could Poweramp have an option to append the album title to the artist name? (like %Artist - %Album)?

The preference would be for that to happen automatically in Android Auto, but even an option for the user to manually select it would be great.

  2. I have done some stuff using Tasker, but more around trying to get the currently playing Playlist and track. I use STATUS_CHANGED, but it doesn't seem to suit your needs as you say.

Could you just use the built-in Tasker variables %mt_artist and %mt_track?

They get populated by most players - if what you're doing needs to be specific to Poweramp then you could add a check on %mt_app = com.maxmpz.audioplayer

    Hope this helps?

Why am I not seeing this release on Google Play store on any of my devices?  Is it because I'm a beta tester?  Do I need to leave the beta program to be able to get this 194 release?  I'm stuck on V192.

Same. This one seems to be taking a long time....

Edit - just had a thought and checked in Apps, and sure enough - Yaps had been auto-disabled. I enabled it it and checked for updates and immediately got the update...

For starters, it only seems to happen with 'Default Library Icons' or 'Gold Theme' selected as Library Icons. And if you then tap on the 'All Songs' item, the header icon is also similarly wrong at the top of the songs list. The 'All Songs' icon seems to vary through about half a dozen different icons, which will change when you drill down into a new category and then return to the top level (note: it's not the same as the category you selected, but there may be some sort of pattern).

I have the same issue with the exact same symptoms. I have recently got a new phone and the issue appears on my new phone as well as old. Pretty sure it's not down to lack of memory because my new phone has plenty of that.

I've actually started using a different icon set to get away from it.

  5.  I've just switched from a Galaxy S9+ to a Galaxy S22 Ultra, and seem to be having exactly the same issue as in the below thread - I get very noticeable distortion/ crackling during quiet periods in tracks. The only way I've found to remove it is to disable DVC and use OpenSL ES, but that kind of defeats the point of using a good DAC!

When using HD output it says I'm getting Samsung UHQA PCM 16 bit 48 khz  - so it looks looks I'm not even getting hi-res output despite hi-res (24 bit 96 khz Flac) input?SmartSelect_20220415-190146_Poweramp.thumb.jpg.51e968b32570a8abd538e2f810987d02.jpg

I've tried resetting all audio options, but to no avail. Am using the latest beta of Poweramp.

Any ideas what's going on here?
