  1. Hi Max, I wish you could support and leave comments on the A-B Repeat request threads as well as the Publisher id3 tag request thread and Precision Seeking threads.
  2. Hmm is there any comment from the developer on this? Perhaps it could fit into to the existing Repeat options when long-pressing on 'repeat'. Then upon being selected from the list of repeat modes it would simply display an overlay on top of the main seek bar to be able to set point A and point B (along with the ability to add your AB as a playlist) Kind please 😊 Any comment from Max?
  3. I'm a huge Marvin Gaye fan and recently discovered this 'naughty' gem of a track last month. I listen to a wide variety of music most notable 90s Hip Hop, 90s R&B, 80s mainstream, 80s Soul, 19th century Classical, 90s Brit Rock/Pop, 50s Rock n Roll, Doo Wop and Indie music. I could never get into Metal or Country - I tried. Everyone has their tastes and finer nuances within tastes.
  4. I listen to long 2 hour Radio mixes (legally free to download). Rather than chopping up the 300mb mp3 file into small pieces on a desktop computer, I'd rather just set a point A and point B during PA use and enjoy listening to that segment repeatedly. This helps with my long night shifts! I don't want to switch to inferior music apps just to achieve this while keeping Poweramp paused in the background. Lastly I'd like to save each of my A-B to Playlists so that I can launch straight into back into it at any time. Think of it as a shortcut file with a time reference. I also enjoy the existing Tempo changing and Cross-fading in PA so would use all of it in combination.
  5. Hi Max, Can't you just add certain requested features by popular demand instead of strict use cases? I totally understand that no app developer wants to clog up their apps with lots of finicky settings that little to nobody would use. Think of how 'fun' Pitch adjustment would be when playing music over loud speaker systems at parties, events etc. Yeah a party trick I know. Additionally a lot of Hip Hop/Rap music remixes tend to purposely adjust the pitch for artistic effect. It would be nice if Poweramp supported a plug-in system (add-ons) for which only you (the app developer) must digitally sign and authorize of. Maybe a tall order to suggest that. There are certain requested features that I and many others would quite gladly pay a premium extra for.
  6. As a devoted Android user, I actually support this request. I'd speculate that maxmp would have to hire hire a developer for the initial iOS 'port' before continuing with the source code. Just speculation of the behind the scenes development, I have no idea. I also think that iOS would be a lot more limited in terms of API compared to Android, so there would be gaps in particular Android features on theApple version. Still, money wise, maxmp would only stand to profit from a splintered off venture such as an iOS version.
  7. Hello maxmp and others, it's a bit scary to think that I requested this feature 9 years ago. Scary in how time rapidly can fly. I still really would love this feature to be implemented. I HATE having to resort to using jetAudio+ just to use A-B Repeat function when Poweramp is obviously the superior app. Looking at the UX (user interface) of Poweramp v3 which I use, I can suggest that it could be implemented by tap+hold of the file length time which would then enable prompt to set an A marker and a B marker for the loop. See screenshots below: Importantly there should also be Playlist support for adding your A-B loops to either a separate A-B playlist of any general user created playlist as long as the file and file path remains in tact. Please maxmp listen to us and please don't ignore or dismiss this request as non-essential. I really need it for my musical pleasure on long length music - typically offline Radio mixes in the form of an mp3. Please!
  8. I want A-B repeat so badly ....It is especially good for Instrumental and Classical music where segments of the track sound the finest but also good for audio Podcasts too. I hope it can get implemented soon. Btw, this is not the request forum
  9. A-B Repeat works nicely in VLC Media Player on Windows...It would be nice to have in Poweramp
  10. I requested this same feature 2 years ago lol And at that time Max said that it should make v2.1 release. Here is that original A-B repeat request topic:
  11. Yes, I already previously a while back requested A-B Repeat support for Poweramp:
  12. Would be awesome if this could somehow be 'squeezed' right into the last thing todo for 2.0 release. You see the A-B feature usually requires "a" and "b" buttons to mark in and mark out (look at VLC media player) - so what I suggest when preparing to implement this feature is to make another separate screen for it. Just like how EQ+Volume dials have their own screen, the A-B should have it's own screen too which would feature the basic playbar of the currently playing track, no album art, but large buttons for "A", "B" and "X" buttons (X for cancel). Also the ability to export as many custom A-B repeats to a text file for later again uses (a button with a floppy disk logo). Export A-B's individually by track and by album.
  13. Thank you, yes by "2.xx" I meant v2.1, v2.2 etc.. much thanks Max long live PA 8-)
  14. Hi, Does Poweramp feature an A-B repeat function? Support for A-B repeat in Poweramp would be awesome. The ability to mark a start and end point within the single song/audio file that is played for just that marked-in segment to play recursively would be great to use especially for playback of audio recordings but also for music Additionally an ability to export/save the particular bookmark file (text )of the A-B repeat that is selected for. Many of you might have used the feature on such players such as VLC http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php ... 2&start=20 (It's in VLC 1.0+)
