The point is to playback the music in the same bit depth and sampling frequency it was recorded and mastered in On the side of the guys actually mixing amd mastering the work, there are advantages for various works. It's not 'just' marketing fluff. However there is the issue or lables and even ill informed artists going for lesser, more crunched mixes as opposed to a variation that actually takes advantage of all that technical stuff that 'normal folk' would rather be onlivious to. A good example would be Fallujah's second album years back. On a thread at MetalSucks the peanut gallery had the audacity to trash the mix amd even attempt attacking a special guest. The actual engineer dropped in and educated the clowns who literally were using huge terms entirely out of context and have no idea of how that process works.... similar to the op that clearly would rather male due than to really dive in to how audio works.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Snapdragon version as well. SAMSUNG-SM-G930V Andriod version 6.0.1 There does seem to be some weird hiccups tonight though. More than likely due to the contacs of the audio plug though. This is the first time I've used it with my amp lol. Quits playing for no apperant reason then the sound comes back at reduced volume. Sometimes the setting show is changed from high res back to andriod audio, either way the volume drops. This is the first time this had happened. For the last 2 months I have just used my IEMs and never had an issue. Edit: Yes, it's just the cable.
