  1. I'm a little confused on this. My understanding is that a codec should output PCM which is subsequently handed to the device for playback. How do Poweramp's otherwise excellent codecs determine/limit which DACs can be used by the device? Other players' output can be routed to the ESS DAC in the V10 without being specifically coded for this phone. What prevents Poweramp from working with the DAC? And when I say Poweramp's codecs are excellent I really mean it. As another poster mentioned, it's a challenge to get this phone to sound any better than Poweramp makes it sound. It would be nice if we could pipe that quality output through the high-end DAC that came with the device.
