    Poweramp Build 835

What exactly happened? If that was a track skip, are you sure track exists on the device, recognized and you can manually start it to play? Thanks!

    Poweramp Build 835

@LPW00 Poweramp has no problem to cache huge number of covers forever, but unfortunately, there are limits on available per-app memory (RAM). This memory limit does not strictly depend on actual device memory (OP1 has 3gb which is more than OK), but on Android per-app limits. These limits were pretty low back on Android 5-6 days, now they are much more flexible. As I can see you're on OP 1 @ Android 6.0, which can cache 153.6mb of images = 154 images in total (or 307 images if RGB 24-bit is off). Actual loaded # of images will be a bit smaller. Unchecking Settings / Album Art / Use 24-bit RGB option will help a bit with number of cached images.
  4. @teorouge interesting license state (time limited trial + store: play). Basically, on your device license is not recognized and trial mode kicks. I recommend backing up PA settings from Settings / Export settings and clearing Poweramp App data from device settings (or clear reinstall).

    Remember Shuffle Settings

@blaubär should it confirm any shuffle mode change (e.g. from previously selected shuffle all to per list specific shuffle songs) or should it confirm just possible switch to Shuffle None?
  6. @teorouge can you please post (or send in PM) screenshot of your Poweramp Settings / About page? Thanks!

    Remember Shuffle Settings

@blaubär do you mean, for any possible shuffle-off scenario out of there (except for main screen shuffle button), you want that optional dialog? (Keep shuffle / play in order)? That will affect those > / shuffle header buttons as well.
  8. Thanks for the report. When this happens, can you touch black screen there and there and does it respond (e.g. when you press near where pause/play is located on bottom mini player, does it pause? Or change tracks?). If that happens, this is GPU issue. To debug, please specify your device and Android variant (custom ROM if any) exactly. Thanks!
  9. Right, Album Artist category forces album artist tag on tracks played from it. This is mostly to match actual selected album artist everywhere. I guess, I can add another option just for Album Artist category (Album Artist Label for Album Artists category), checked by default. Unchecking it will result in artists tag used for this category as well (the same way 2 other Album Artist options work). Thanks for the request. The option is a minor one and will be added to the next (non-bug-fix-only) build. PS Ideally, title/artist line/meta fields should be selectable (from a list of available tags/info). But, as these should be selectable per category type, UI for this gets complicated fast.

    Bluetooth headset control not working

@teorouge Poweramp has a log of incoming and executed commands in Settings / Headset/BT / Last Processed Commands. You can make a screenshot from there or directly copy/paste or share the contents otherwise (via 3-dot menu there) and post here - this will make it clear if it’s player or device issue (and if some workaround for future builds is possible). For example, some devices sends multiple PAUSE commands on connection, may be this conflicts with the resuming after the call.

    Playlist Poster

Thanks for the request. Art selection for playlists (from first, saying, 8 tracks or from Gallery images) is a planned feature + per track option to set it as a playlist image.
  12. @yas your problem is not related to the original poster issue. In your case this is related to Android support libs (AndroidX). These are updated in latest builds, try 835. @milklover12 I guess you can post a bug report for that ROM on their bugtracker/forum, and please uncheck Poweramp Settngs / Audio / Direct Volume Control (DVC) / No DVC For Bluetooth Absolute Volume option.
  13. Applies to Internal DAC only (Wired Headset/AUX in Poweramp output settings). Please post your device (with optional ROM/Android version) if Poweramp alpha Hi-Res audio works for it. If it doesn't work, check this thread:

    Poweramp Build 834

@DJ AJB This is supported out of box for Android 10 (and there is no such control or option for lower Androids, unfortunately). I guess, some 3rd party ROMs can have this enabled too as well.
  15. Note: despite short changelog, this is major release due to 64-bit build and related codecs update. Please let me know if any tracks fail to play or fail to be detected (you can send file / link to gpmaxmpz@gmail.com for tests). https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.maxmpz.audioplayer
  16. Ok, do you use SoX resampler? If so, this was a bug in SoX resampler and fix is available in build-835. Thanks!

@ScarletNeko please disable sox resampler until the next build (hopefully soon).

    Poweramp Build 834

@Butterfly Dream shadow Yes. It’s required that ROM doesn’t add unnecessary limitation, such as sampling rate. Most ROMs out there actually don’t have such limitations.

    On Queue End

Queue won’t be started if all tracks in it have “played” status (no >> icon next to tracks in Queue, queue counter is like 10/10). Queue still continues to contain those played tracks and can be played manually again.

    Poweramp Build 834

@Butterfly Dream shadow Poweramp has no own usb “drivers”. I find these not reliable on latest androids (8+), esp. on the devices without 3.5 output, where custom usb routing conflicts a lot with android implementation and usb dongles. Android (aosp/pixels) support 44.1 on usb dac just fine, but some OEMs break this functionality, unfortunatelly.

    Poweramp Build 834

It’s hard to say something not knowing exactly the phone model/output device/android version, but most devices out there don’t support 44.1kHz multiples on 3.5 output and they force resample everything to 48kHz multiples. Bt is different story, usb dac is another one.

    v3-build-834 volume level resetting

@marek16 this is huawei firmware issue happening for Hi-res + DVC: ringtone volume also has effect on media volume. Standard definition outputs or DVC disabled modes have no such issue.

Ok, please switch to sw resampler temporarily until build 835. Thanks!
