  1. To answer your second point, on the most recent releases of Poweramp (build 978 onwards) multi-selected songs are now moved together as a block - although you'll only see the one item visible as you scroll up and down lists, so you can more clearly see the insertion point.

Move selection to top or bottom might be a nice idea, but remember that you can already do this when adding new songs into a playlist in the first place (you can set the +Playlist functionality to 'Insert at Start', 'Add to End', or 'Shuffled').  To be honest though, if you have an excessive amount of songs in one playlist then it might be worth editing the list using an external editor on a more suitable device rather than the 6 inch screen of a phone.

  2. It's not possible to address specific personal account questions in these public forums.

You have done the right thing in contacting the Support email, they should be able to help you. Please allow up to a couple of working days for response. I assume you have checked that the emails(s) haven't gone into your junk/spam locations?

  3. There's no such thing as a "liked Category", just a liked song which you can do by tapping the Thumbs Up icon on the Player screen. If that is not currently shown for you, enable it with Settings=>Look and Feel=>Player Screen=>Rating Type.

You can add the currently playing song to a playlist by long-pressing anything in the cover artwork area and tapping "Add to Playlist".

  4. In case anyone else is finding this thread later, to get into AA dev mode: go to Android Settings=>Connected Devices=>Android Auto. Scroll down to 'Version and Permission info' and tap on that ten times. You will then be able to access the Developer Settings screen via the three-dots menu at the top of the screen.

  5. Not gone at all. You did scroll down to the bottom the list of Re-Sort options didn't you?

Also, you may not be aware but you can now choose Shuffled ordering when you add new items to a Playlist in the first place. Just long-press on the '+Playlist' icon and you can set the mode to insert new songs at the Start of the Playlist, add to the End (which is the original default), or Shuffled.

  6. I assume you mean you are playing music using Poweramp on a phone (what type, Android version, etc?) to a connected Android Auto interface on your car's headunit? Is it a USB cabled connection (which often uses Bluetooth for audio) or fully wireless? What output method are you using in the PA Settings=>Audio=>Output page?

PA can also be configured to allow interruptions or not, via its Settings=>Audio=>Audio Focus page, try changing the Short and Permanent Audio Focus settings. Also see if it works better with Duck Volume enabled or not.

  7. I was just about to say that even if a disconnection/reconnection was occurring, you should still see it mentioned in the log... but as you've just posted, that is indeed what you are seeing.

As to why so many connection events are occurring when you put on your headphones, I can't say I'm afraid. But turning off the Headset/Bluetooth=>Resume on Wired Headset and Pause on Headset Disconnect options should at least tell Poweramp not to respond to them.

  8. @kissarmyonline  I've just checked with the latest OneUI update on my A54 and it seems like they have not fixed the high-res issue. I'm not sure if @maxmp has been able to replicate the issue and find a work-around from the Poweramp side as yet.

I suggest using AAudio Output, rather than the Experimental High-Res feature.

  9. As there are cover art images and Artist, duration, etc details in your screenshot, it would seem the song tags have been scanned into the Library correctly (a non-scanned file would show filename only, with no other details). Try a Settings=>Library=>Full Rescan anyway.

Might be an issue with the files themselves? What does Info/Tags show, from the menu for one of those songs?

    Andre

  10. Probably the Album Artist tags are not set identically for all of the tracks that are meant to be contained within one album. You can check this via the Info/Tags option in the menu for each song.

See the second section of this Guide for more details:

  11. You should be fine with a folder of your own called "My Music", with all of your music saved in subfolders of that. It's only direct root access that you cannot assign access permissions any more (and some restricted system folders, like "Download").

Make sure File Access Legacy Mode is turned off - which it sounds like you've already had to do. Then revoke/disable any existing permissions that might still be hanging around so you have nothing selected at all in Settings=>Music Folders. Then use the 'Add Folder' option in that menu to choose just your "My Music" folder and tap 'Use this Folder' to grant access to it (and also do the same for "Playlists" if you need that).

    For more detailed instructions, see:

If all that still fails, try a clean uninstall/reinstall - but backup your existing settings/etc (using Settings=>Export Settings/Data) first.

  12. @andrewz No, power management settings probably would not get synced to a new phone, it'd be up to you to enable them as and when wanted. Not all devices are so aggressive about it, but if you are getting playback issues (especially when the screen goes to sleep) it's a good one to check.

  13. How you access the audio controls on your car's head unit is down to that manufacturer's design, it's nothing that Poweramp (or even Android Auto) has any control over.

On my Hyundai for example, there are Bass, Mid, and Treble sliders in the 'Equaliser' section of the 'Sound' Settings menu (which can be accessed via a physical 'Settings' button on the front panel, even while music continues playing in Android Auto). But that is more of a general setup feature, you probably shouldn't be changing those values on a per-song basis while driving.

Poweramp's equalizer system allows you to set up EQ 'Presets' - and even auto-assign them to particular albums, genres, etc if you want. But again, tweaking them is not something you should contemplate doing on-the-fly while driving.

Whatever happened to good old physical bass and treble knobs eh?
